Just from seeing this game, I would say to make the cursor ship and the enemies have different color schemes or something so that you can easily see where your cursor is in high intensity moments. Also I noticed that the game completely stops during the transition from game to shop ui, and I feel like maybe it would look better if the game slowed down to a stop instead of suddenly stopping
Virgin solitaire fan vs Chad Minesweeper Enjoyer. On a sidenote, have you tried Minesweeper Collector 2? Its recently released and its basically 8bit Minesweeper with rpg elements and mini games like hexbased, fishing, and other stuff.
I always find myself coming back to Nova Drift because I only need one hand on the mouse- I’ll fess up and say I have a MMO mouse, and that game ends up needing 4 programmable buttons which may be deal-breaking for the “one handed” claim, but for me it’s perfect. Something about repetitive but active gameplay that still allows me to text, google, even watch TH-cam with my other hand makes me much more likely to throw it on while doing other stuff Edit: Hilarious that Tyler brought up Nova Drift anyways, glad I didn’t explicitly compare them…😰😰
6:05 After doing some math, the Discount Reroll will make you come even money wise at 20 rerolls after buying it. 7:55 Meanwhile, the second level for it would ask for 80 rerolls to come even. Alternatively, if you bought 2 at once, it would take 32 rerolls to come even. 11:00 The first level of Damage Credit will pay for itself after getting hit 10 times. Each following level then requires you to get hit 20 times instead for that. If you can somehow survive getting hit that much, it can be worth the investment. 16:08 You sell at a 50% rate meaning that all the previous numbers can be halved if you sell the item. 16:28 Credit Zone requires you to stay in zones for 100 seconds (1 minutes and 2/3) to pay for itself. 19:30 The first level of Anchor charge make it that you gain a charge after 3 second and a third The second level lowers it to about 2.86 seconds instead. The first level of Interest Up will require you to gain interest over 6000 credits to make even if my math is right? 24:10 Oh no, after looking at this, it would be 40 000 credits , not 6000! XD The second level would then require 160 000 credits? Quite the commitment! XD 32:54 Credit Clear requires you to clear 15 level to make even? I don't know about that one. :P
The title got me here immediately. It sounds silly but damn if having a 1-handed game isn't useful sometimes. If you have a partner or kids or pet that likes to trap one arm under or around them, it's nice to still be able to play something. Ring of Pain was the last one I depended on, but it's definitely time for something new.
feel like a really good run of this game would be fun to watch. Imagine like an AI playing the shield ship, bringing up the shield, immediately dragging the mouse through each enemy, and the round's over before the shield can come down.
I feel like the math doesn't check out for the econ upgrades. E.g. you spend 1500 to get 100 each time you full clear. That means you have to completely empty the screen 15 times just to break even. The one that makes rerolls cheaper is even worse.
Clearing all enemies seems impossible past 20 seconds into the game. Do you maybe have to get with the accelaration rythm of the enemies and try clearing them quicker before they swarm you?
How much randomization do you need to be a rogue like? Crystal Quest from 1987 doesn't have random upgrades but it does have random enemy patterns and power up spawns, permadeath, and mouse control. Would it be considered the first cursor based rogue like?
Yeah I prefer meta progression that changes a little thing about the character like maybe instead of it being a shield it gets two swords which would make it easier to kill enemies but maybe you only have damage reduction instead of immunity
You have to use your attacks more man, you always get stuck surrounded by enemies after not using an attack for 20 seconds AND not getting charges to use more because you're at max capacitiy. At that point, spamming your attacks to clear the enemies and have more breathing room to get more charges is much more productive brother
I'm sure it's just bad luck, but man many of those upgrades are... really useless looking XD Edit: Ah no they actually start to look practical with the second ship.
scales to fast, or scales too fast as in too quickly? This is why the difference between those words is important, because if you don't distinguish between them I have to do extra work to find out what you mean. Too many brainrotted ppl think it doesn't matter but it does
@@notnoaintno5134I was able to understand what he said perfectly. The difference between too and to is just one O, I’m pretty sure with the context given, any English speaker will be able to understand with doing “extra work”
He singlehandedly wrote a clever title.
Clever clever
Dev Here! Thanks for showcasing my game, Olexa! I'm so glad you had fun with it, that was my goal!

This video is also watchable with 1 hand
Ay yo
Skeet skeet skeet
Where's the other hand then? Wrong answers only

Tyler refusing to clear the screen from all enemies at the start when the ship benefits from it is a certified Tyler moment
This frustrated me soooo much.

I've been playing deckbuilders and Minesweeper games with one hand for years.

This is one of those dangerous "just one more" {suddenly notices sun rising} games.
Me, being in my villian arc, hearing Olexa lecturing about that this game is nothing like Nova Drift:
This game is totally like Nova Drift.
11:02 talking about green people (just to name more) : beast boy (teen titans), mike wazoski, shrek, yoshi, kermit
Yoda
Perfect! I can play roguelike while doing other things with my other hand!

What mouse do you use? I need way more buttons
Never thought I'd get a top ten green people list from olexa
not including shrek is a travesty
The implication of the video title are ambiguous

Always love watching an olexa video
Dude you make me buy so many games! You should have sponsored links to them
If I have paid sponsorships then I do! But I don’t accept many of those haha

Just give the game to an Osu player. The shield ship is literally just Osu.
"ladies and gentlemen"
What about the enby cryptids?!
Osu players finally getting a game they can utilize their abilities to the max
10:25 scary irl? No way ever and I'll never believe it.
I would recommend Duskers. It's a game that only uses the keyboard. The less you know, the more fun it'll be to watch you play lol
I'm a disabled gamer, and this is amazing! Any other titles with simple mouse-based controls?
This looks very fun!!

cursorblade walked so this could run (I love both)
Shrek got shafted

He forgot he had weapons and could shoot and that the shield thing was a special attack
Why didn't you tell me about this yesterday when my cat was sleeping on my hand.

I am that lazy, that yes I am now looking for games that I can play with just one hand
While we're on level 2, and I have one free hand, let's discuss top 10 *green* characters in fiction... :D
Crazy you didn't mention Shrek on your list of geen people.
I wonder what everyone was doing with their other hand🤔
perfect for my gooning sessions
The internet was a mistake
I like this game.
The kind of games that usually advertise being playable with one hand....are of a slightly different variety 😅
Playing roguelikes with one hand while my other hand straight jorkin it. And by it I mean my peanits
Murder drones reference???
Gaming with one hand
Gooning with the other
What can you do with the other and ?
sob Olexa i do have to ask watcha doing with your other hand while ur being a gamer

what'cha doin' with your other hand, tyler?

that exploding enemies not hurt other eenmies is a bit irritating.

plz make a video of u doing human benchmark
*has full charge* *uses half an hour to charge up while fully charged* *confused why he's dying while actively trying not to kill things*
I bought it and I have to say: it’s not *that* hard. It’s definitely challenging, but not nearly as hard as olenky made it seem.
What you doing with the other hand
How is The Mask not top 5 green people. The wicked witch 😴 Litterally dies to water

These games are all decent, but then add shit meta progression that just make the game grindy.
