This is such an underrated album. My Dad introduced me to this band when I was like 9. I'm only 5 years older now but I can't help but make old connections to this band. After all I was like 2 months old when he took to a show of theirs. And to be honest I almost cry every time I hear Natalie Portman, Even my dad said it touched him the first time he heard it. Would love to see this get more love.
I found Ozma by accident. Their song 'Baseball' was mislabeled as Weezer back in the day of Napster (or maybe later with bittorrent). Own this album on cd and the double donkey disc
Same for me. Downloaded "Weezer's" Baseball on someone else's computer, and when I got my own computer I looked for it often for a few years to try to find it again. After I gave up I randomly discovered Ozma in a friend's collection, and my mind was blown hearing that long lost gem again. Can we just take a second and acknowledge how many great non-album Weezer songs there were at that time?? I cut a bunch of them out and still had 2 full CDs that I listened to all the time in my car.
About 70% of these introduction stories to this band has something to with band, I mean this is basically weezer so not really that much of an accident

I like to joke that Rock and Roll Part 3 is the 3rd best Weezer album (Blue, Pinkerton, RRP3). But that feels like I'm short-selling this masterpiece, this truly is one of the best rock albums of all time.
I’ll never forget my older sister Michelle buying me this album after they opened for Weezer back in the early 2000’s. The pre kung fu one as well where In Search of 1988 and Last Dance were the same track 10. I remember missing the majority of the Get Up Kids set talking to Danielle while smoking cigs outside after their set. I’ve been a huge fan since and love a appreciate all the amazing music over the years! It’s always a blast 💥
Absolute perfection. I can only listen in small doses at this time, it floods with me with memories and emotions and I’m taken back to a different time. Top 5 album ever, I love you Ozma.
@@shurbrrt they used to claim it and redirect it to lunchbox by mi6. Maybe they fixed it but still messed up on the label accidentally labeling rocks as the mi6 song.
Personally, I usually stop after Battlescars. That classical guitar of the domino effect melody is just the perfect ending, imo. It makes the two tracks that follow seem kind of disjointed. Plus, "you've missed your last chance" is so depressing, that I don't like to end on it, if that makes any sense.
