🚨 UPDATES: after talking to EVOLPOW, they are dropping the price to $399 and even lower with code BEC50, which sets it at $350. It’s progress but like to see it down past $300. They are upgrading to a two layer system of packaging, along with adding a pen to touch up the metal if need be. Also, they will be fixing the range of motion on the leg extension and the foam padding in their next generation of this product. Now that is professionalism and I highly respect them for taking the feedback and working on it!

Glad to see they actually responded to some of the feedback, but it still seems overpriced at $399, should be under $300 IMO to compete with the likes of Keppi which is often on sale for that much or less (btw would be cool to see a review of their similar 3000 Max).
If they're looking for feedback, here's the points I see that would significantly improve it:
    1. ROM on the leg extension. Major issue with these types of leg extension/curl benches is that the leg extension doesn't allow you to get full ROM with your knees fully bent (flexed) and feet back and under the bench while having tension in that deep stretched position for the quads which is the part of the motion that causes the most hypertrophy. Needs to have a hinging mechanism that doesn't hit the bench legs and block it from going back further while also maybe adding cable attachment support or changing the plate peg angle to get resistance at the start of the motion.
    2. The leg extension/curl seems like it would be in the way when trying to do curls on the preacher pad and wanting to fully extend the arms, especially if you're using a bar and have somewhat longer arms, the leg developer part should be easily/quickly removable while keeping the preacher pad there.
    3. Needs to come with a decline leg-holder attachment to keep you in place when using it for decline. Make it attachable at both sides of the bench (like the new Flybird FB3000) to allow more decline angles too by both doing typical decline lowering the back pad towards the floor (as it has now) AND inclining the back pad side and laying backwards on the bench to get more decline angles that way as well.
    4. Make the preacher pad wider to around 20"
    5. Make the back pad wider to around 12" to 12.5" and squared off (no taper towards the top). Have the seat pad extra wide (around 16") and taper to meet the back pad to compete with higher end options like Rep AB-3000 and allow for doing hip thrusts on the bench (see: th-cam.com/video/ph4JRWLdXo4/w-d-xo.htmlsi=adOLnhmReLjkl8ax)
    6. Reduce the pad gap or add a zero-gap sliding mechanism
    7. Label all the angles on the adjustment mechanism for the seat and back pad
    8. Allow it to stand vertically for storage
    9. Ensure flat bench height is around IPF standard 17" to 18"
    10. Add the exact seat and back pad angles to the product specifications
    11. Add weight to the product specifications and ensure the bench weighs 70lbs to 100lbs for max stability and prevent sliding when pushing against it with leg drive in movements like chest supported rows, hip thrusts, incline pressing, etc...
    12. Add a handle to one side for ease of picking it up and moving around with the wheels
If they can make all those changes, they'd have an almost perfect bench that covers so many use cases with a versatile attachment system that adds a ton of functionality to the bench.

First of all, THIS IS AWESOME! I am going to forward this to them as well! Dude thank you for this! I will see if I can! That bench looks pretty good!
I still think it should be in that range too. I wonder if their costs of goods is still high so that is the best they can do for now?
The handle idea is something I forgot to mention with the wheels too. That idea for the ROM is perfect dude! I need you to come over and review with me man, your insight is freakin awesome bro!!!!

Looks like at the moment is $300 (don't know if that is the permanent price or a sale). It tempts me at that price. For preacher curl bar, would like $3 velcro strap work to fix it the bar?

Much better and realistic for something like this! Even $250. That’s a great idea! I’ve seen some use a bungee cord too

Not sure yet! that or their M2A. The butterfly machine attached is interesting and never seen that before

Force USA MyBench V2 seems to be a better option if you want a bench that comes with the leg curl/extension and the preacher curl attachments. It is priced at 399$ in their own store, and I would argue that the bench itself and the attachments are better quality than this EVOLPOW bench.

@@Partsi87v oh for sure! This needs to be in the low 200s or $199

Thanks for calling them out! I can't stand companies that trick people into buying overpriced equipment, especially when it really does not offer nearly what the competition does.
These kinds of benches are VERY limited, so they do a lot but not very well in most cases. Which would be fine if they stayed in the $250 or less range, because that's what is expected. But yeah I'd be upset with the build of this bench.
Evolpow is cutting a lot of corners with a lot of their equipment. I know because I just got to play with a full set of theirs that my uninformed (new to fitness) cousin bought and while I'm happy that he doesn't know any better and its a great place to start his home gym with, I know that for what he bought he could have gotten a much better set of everything from Rep, Titan, Or so many other good brands.

      @LukesGarageGym  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

Yeah man I have done and see a lot of equipment! I do think if they stay in their path of Amazon brands etc then there’s consumers that will snag this. For $500 you better expect a build that mimics closer to commercial grade. I think this concept can be valuable but man, definitely a lot to look at and work on.

Really good review, however i suggest leaving the price and the part about if you think its worth the price for the very end of the review. Most people won't watch the video to the end if they are put off by the cost.
I agree it costs too much which is disappointing because my initial impression was it looks sturdy and will be decent. Even with the price reduction you mentioned in the comments i still wouldn't buy it and heres why. The gap between the padding looks huge. One of my adjustable benches has a massive gap double the size of the norm and even with wedging padding in there decliines are not comfy.
I like the versatility of this bench but dont like built in preacher curl bars. I agree it needs to be removable. Also that preacher curl pad looks too narrow for an ez curl bar and it has no arm to rest the curl bar on if you used your own. I also agree the foam rollers should be better.

Thanks buddy!! The sucky part is I have done that too and waited and people said I waited too long lol I feel like you cannot win on here lol
Yeah, the gap is significant. What is cool is they are already working on the issues I addressed. I put an update in the description, which I respect.

Yeah that seems a bit much with trying to make the gym equipment efficient and less expensive, but with it being almost $500 is just not worth spending that much money on how the quality of it just saying. But overall bro the review and your opinion on it was on point man. 👊💯👊😎

Minus the pop pins, this bench reminds me of the one I had while in high school and that was crap compared to what we have these days. Maybe someone might like it for nostalgia, but it should be a hard pass for most people.
