I’m 50 now. I remember as a young kid in the late 70’s going to school in Glenview Qld. The toilets were a timber box over a tin bucket and treated with sawdust. They were in a timber framed shed on concrete slab with tin roof. Tank water was used for drinking and watering the oval, not flushing the toilet! Doesn’t seem that long ago. Its always nicer to poo at home!
I love those grass trees. Just an amazing plant and awe-inspiring how old they are. One metre high = 100 years old. Boggles the mind.
