Some additional crafts and notes For pins/buttons and even resin style trinkets/keychains I’ve had an idea of using clay as the back for them. (Air dry clay is recommended for pins/buttons because the metal will heat up if baked which would be ok but you’d have to be careful and patient handling it). Keychains/trinkets are fairly simple: just sketch a design, use that as a template to cut out the clay, paint your design onto it and then hook something onto the little hole you should leave in it. While buttons/pins you’d cut a circle of clay out, secure a safety pin or whatever you intend on using with a strip of clay trapping the back of the safety pin or whatever, and then paint. I’ve also seen buttons made from bottle caps: using a soda tab to hold the safety pin and then crushing the non flat metal of the bottle cap back to secure the soda tab. Making stickers is a million times easier using sticker paper. Unless you have double sided sticky tape from someone who regularly makes diy stickers and has tried both methods you’re better off just buying a roll of mail labels from a office supply store and then using that as a base. Also remember clear nail polish is your friend! And patches (even if it’s painting onto a strip of fabric and then sewing that on) is awesome!
Update: I gotz 2 soda cans!!! I made 2 pendants and made chokers with them (1 4 me and 1 4 my wifeband), I also made a badge but I haven't glued on the safety oin yet. Man I've got a LOT on my plate as an arts & crafter
Also for the pendant, you could use the card back thingy that comes with the sticker sheets you buy at stationary stores. Idk what it's called but in sticker packs there's like a hard card-like thingy. Luckily Im a sticker addict so I have plenty to repurpose when Im finished

your videos are saving me from my creativeblock involving my splatoon ocs thank you 😭 also another thing i recommend is to (if you know how to crochet) crochet plush versions of your characters‼️ i did this with only 1 of my characters so far (because the process took 3 days non stop 😵💫) but trust me it’s the most rewarding thing ever, like I CAN HUG HIM NOW!!!
