Thanks so much! This helps out alot! I learned the spanish rumba technique earlier this year, but I like the gypsy rumba a little more. I practiced this all day and I think after a couple more days I might be able to play some songs with it. Thanks man

It is amazing.
My friend Spanish Rumba is Gypsy rumba, Rumba gitana, this rhythm originated in Cuba and brought to NE Spain Cataluña (Rumba Catalana was born the style you like) this is where the Gypsy kings are originally from, then immigrated to France.

I’m just having difficulty on the second part of the rhythm, because playing downstrums with the middle finger after up strumming with the thumb in part 1 feels awkward, and because I can’t play the right hand mute.
i think id find this a lot easier to play with other fingers in strumming is it really that important do do it this paticular way

Are you using a traditional classical guitar, and if you are, is it safe to tap on the body like that,
Joshua Jaimes this is a flamenco Guitar. For a classical Guitar, better to put a golpeador. There’s some of them like electro -static fixation. No need to paste anything

Salut Pierre j'aimerais maîtriser le rythme gypse mais j'en suis encore loin.
J'ai regardé beaucoup de vidéos et je viens de tomber sur la la tienne.
Dans beaucoup de schéma rythmiques les cordes étouffées tombe au 5ème temps.
Tu les étouffe au 7ème temps. Ton rythme est aussi cool que les autres mais que me conseille tu de travailler le plus pour jouer du gypsy king ou du kendji ?

Sur le 5e temps, c’est une autre manière de jouer, je le préfère pour les morceaux plus lents, Pharon, à mi manera, les yeux de la mama. Pour djobi djoba, bamboleo par exemple je préfère le mien

Parceque je les avais tourné après une tournée en Inde. Je les avais préparés pour mes élèves indiens que j’avais eu en master classe
L’index en haut impossible pour moi, il n’y a aucun son qui sort. L’index doit avoir un long ongle
Si si, ceux qui n’ont pas d’ongles jouent avec la première phalange, sur le côté du pouce
