BIKE RIDE TO THE LARGEST MUSEUM IN THE ARABIAN PENINSULA-LOUVRE, ABU DHABI, UAE

- The Louvre Abu Dhabi is an art and civilization museum, located in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The museum is located on the Saadiyat Island Cultural District. It is approximately 24,000 square metres in size(57basketball courts), with 8,000 square meters of galleries. This is the largest Museum in the arabian gulf.
Artworks from around the world are showcased at the museum, with particular focus placed upon bridging the gap between Eastern and Western art. (Hindi lang sya naka focus sa mindlle east or UAE artworks but it also showcase the artworks from all over the world). Kaya pala nung bumisita kami ditto last year ay may mga display sila from Europe.
The architect for the building is Jean Nouvel - A French Architect.
The museum is designed as a "seemingly floating dome structure"; its web-patterned dome allowing the sun to filter through. The overall effect is meant to represent "rays of sunlight passing through date palm fronds in an oasis.
At dahil floating dome sya gumamit sila ng total of 4,536 piles consisted of RC Piles and H-Piles.
Construction works officially started on May 26 2009 and It took 10years for the Museum to open.
