Midori is based off Tsuruya from The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya and she is "honorary consultant of the SOS Brigade" and more importantly Churuya is her chibi counterpart which Midori would be in tune of referencing, as shes behind a popular meme back in the day "nyoron"
On the topic of easter eggs, the masks in the drama club. They look very similar to Katsushika Hokusai’s, a well-known Japanese artists’s, comical characters. Yandere Dev has put lots of references and easter eggs in the game, and it’s so fun to discover all of them!
@@sakuraaishi246 Thats true, but at least in my opinion, none of the characters in Yandere sim are really that fleshed out or developed in a way that makes me actually care about them. There all really bland and have little to them in terms of character apart from their archetype, like osana practically has no personality traits apart from being a tsundere. If you take that away she’s really boring and has practically nothing that makes her interesting (same goes for other rivals). If you want to have a game that takes itself seriously, you need to have characters that actually have character and aren’t really 2-dimensional. Especially since this game is basically like a harem anime where you play as the yandere girl, characters are one of the most important things in those types of animes because it’s what the shows about (aka the characters and their relationship with each other, which also makes the fact that you can’t interact with senpai even more annoying).
@@AzvreMoon The reason The reason why ayano or Ryoba can't interact with their senpai is because they're shy and they build up courage by eliminating their rivals also the students that aren't the rivals or important to the story are usually background characters which have nothing to do with the story of you know if it was an anime how you should look at the game is that the rivals and ayano and senpai are the important characters they are the ones that drive the plot forward

Like I don’t think Yandev needs to make the rest of students 3 dimensional because their background characters and half of them have nothing to do with the story, that’s why I specifically pointed out that I thought that Ayano and the rivals characters were bland. And with Ayano and Ryoba not being able to talk with their senpai, yes I know that there’s a logical reason behind it, but I still think it’s dumb. It’s such an easy way to actually explore Ayano, Taro, and the rivals character by letting the player talk have the option to talk to him. Even from a gameplay standpoint it’s also interesting. Maybe there could be a friendship bar with senpai that can give you access to certain elimination methods, be able to know what rivals are planning to do without the risk of stalking them and getting caught, or getting senpai to leave areas or do things to eliminate different rivals. It would even explain why Senpai would even accept your confession in the first place considering the fact that your just some random girl. It allows both character depth, exploration, and new gameplay mechanics that easily tie in with the world and it’s themes (cuz it’s like a harem anime and like I said, the most important aspects are it’s characters).
As someone who plays Project Diva Future Tone and absolutely loves Close and Open, Demons and the Dead, I had no idea the ramen shop lady’s outfit was literally that! I seriously need to pay more attention to these things more
I've actually pitched another idea for an Easter Egg, being one based on this ongoing comic series by a user called Wereworld called There's Something Wrong with Sue (If you don't know, the comic series tells the story of an Asian collage student girl who is stuck with a werewolf curse).
