What was happening with this gig? Is Paul OK? Allso, are the fucking monitors working? Curious if they are hearing this? They are one of the greatest bands in the rock/punk/goth/whatever genre, so I know their standard, I hold them to it.
I think part of the issue is that the camera/phone mic is not up to the task. I think it will have been better sounding in the room than the footage suggests maybe. :)

I've just been listening to the Milan concert posted up only a couple of days ago, it sounds like it's getting steadily rougher all the way through that, from not a great start compared to what I've heard on their recordings. I wouldn't think any less of him if so, it's inevitable at some point. But I wasn't there for these concerts, they're casually captured on instruments not suited for the purpose, I do believe The Damned are always going to put on the best show they can. Let's see what the new album sounds like.

It may be a limitation of the recording, but it sounds like Dave's voice can't go the distance any longer. A great sadness, if so.
I think it's the recording, tbh. Also, he loves playing around with the vocals/pitch onstage to mix things up...
