I'm a homeschool mom, and I wish this was a teacher layout and a classic size option. My kids are young, and I don't need the deadlines or assignments yet. An attendance log would be nice, too. Thank you for the flip-through!! I also don't use the overview pages. Just the month and weeks is really want I need. The reading list will be nice when they get a but older.
I’m a homeschooler and I got the teacher seasonal one. I wanted to get this but the weekly I didn’t love. I have to have line on mine lol I love the weekend because we sometimes homeschool on the weekends. I love the grade tracker and reading list. I use my planner for budget, appointments, meals, attendance tracker and migraine tracker.
I like the homeschool layout. It’s good for high school students with 6 classes. My daughter normally uses the teacher planner for this reason but the downside is that the weekends are not there. This gives you the best of both worlds.
I wish I saw this helped I hit the teacher one! I would love to see more reading log pages for multiple students. The entire year calendar page is fine for tracking days but I’d almost like a separate space specifically for that. I would add a field trip list page as well as a page for weekly meal planning.
Those are great additions! Since I haven't seen them in this planner or the teacher planners, it's definitely worth making your own insert- the field trip list page would be super fun to set up!
Oooh pretty planner! They should pull back on the “subjects/due dates” and just general “classroom” options on the pages/dividers, i homeschool and don’t use deadlines or a “classroom” but I can see how doing “school at home” with online programs requires deadlines, but nonetheless I’m so glad there’s a homeschool option from happy planner! I used a classic and want to change it up to a BIG 🤩
As a homeschooler of teens, I like that they have those, I think for the elementary and middle school is not necessary but for high school could me more useful
Love the engagement here! It’s interesting to hear how y’all would use or modify this planner! I’m sure they’re trying to make a planner that is the most “universally” helpful across all grades because of how specific a niche it is for. But I hope it’s still a help to y’all! If we decide to homeschool, I’ll be curious to see how this works in action too! ♥️
@@thejoyfulsojourn absolutely, I have a daughter going into 1st grade, she'll be 6 here soon. I have an almost 4 year old. So I'd like to introduce a little pre-k and I have a 5month old. This will be my first year as a homeschooling mom. And for me I guess the planner just seems "busy". Like I dont even know where to start with "things to put where"
I'm a homeschool Mom, it's very pretty. I would have to move the class overview pages in a records section and would prefer the grade trackers as separate pages to put there as well. My boys are teens and I basically put their information in my planner to keep track of what they accomplish each day. I like a spot on my weekly for a daily list of work they each complete. I also need space for our appointments and my to do list. I like our dinner meal listed. I can make this work but I can also make a Big lined vertical work or a teacher planner. My boys have their own lesson planner for more detailed plans.
Do you mean like the classroom checklist at the end of teacher planners? Nope there wasn't one in this, it'd have to be purchased seperately: www.dpbolvw.net/click-100546223-13985150?url=https%3A%2F%2Fthehappyplanner.com%2Fproducts%2Frealign-teacher-checklist-big-filler-paper-40-sheets%3F_pos%3D3%26_sid%3D1d0f710af%26_ss%3Dr
I haven’t decided yet- I have a few options in mind: keep it until I know what Josh and I are doing for Esther’s education (I’m not opposed to re-dating), re-label the headers and use it as a project planner, or gift it to a homeschool family.
Even though I appreciate that they came out with one for homeschoolers, its kind of disappointing that it is just one, so not many options. The teacher layout usually has too many things that homeschoolers don't use and this one seems to be missing some things homeschoolers need. ITs a lovely planner though and I can see myself using it but with having to add to it so I don't know if in the long run is worth it.
@@thejoyfulsojourn In my planner that i put together, I have fieldtrip list, hours trackers, curriculum list, more reading logs because one sheet a month is not enough lol, attendance trackers. I know all homeschool moms do things differently but there are just somethings that are definitely needed in a homeschool planner.

Same! I bought a basic spiral bound weekly flip planner and a spiral boing months only calendar and it’s been working great!
Love hearing what does/doesn’t work for y’all! Sounds like a classic teacher layout is what you need, and there are plenty of those ♥️
@@thejoyfulsojourn yes! That's what I've been using the last 2 years. I may try a big this year because the design I love is a big.
bought off your link! can't wait until my planner comes in!!
Aw thank you!! Hope you love everything you got!!

Im glad you found one that works for you! Sounds like it's multi-functional! I feel you on the lines too, they're super helpful!
These are such gorgeous colors. Thank you for the flip throughs. I was a homeschool mom for years, and I wish I had had something like this.
You’re welcome!! ♥️ and totally! I think it’s awesome HP came out with something!

I love this planner layout, we have used it I think 2 years. I love that it starts in July. We start school in July.
Yay!! Glad it works for you, and perfect about the timeline too!

I'm new to homeschooling, this coming year will be my first. And to be honest this planner overwhelme me.
Tell me more! What was overwhelming? And what age/s are you schooling? I’m just curious, if you’re willing to share ♥️
How so?? Cover the overwhelming parts with stickers/quotes!!

@@thejoyfulsojourn its an A5 plum paper lesson planner.
I really like this but did I miss an attendance tracker page?

I would probably use the year overview pages for attendance. Just highlight the days you did school.
Do you know if they will have an accessory pack to go along with this planner?
Hey Michelle! Nope, just the planner and notebook, I believe.
I came back to your video for your link! Curious, if homeschooling doesn’t apply to you what will you do with this planner? 😅
