drew talking about seasonal depression in the summer is so real, i am SUPER sensitive to heat and sweat easily, and walks really do keep me sane, so when i cant do that in the heat my mental health really does decline lol
DUDE. I grew up in Louisiana and, as a teenager, realized I had SAD during the summer months. As soon as I could feel the first autumn breeze, my depression would lighten up and improve as it got colder. I would spend May-September inside as much as possible. When I moved to Wyoming and Idaho, I had SAD in the winter, like a normal person.
I grew up in louisiana too! East Baton Rouge. I don’t see a lot of people online who are from there. I had the worst summer depression from being stuck inside from the heat… the only time it lessened was during the rainy seasons. The constant oppressive heat and humidity and sun was so depressing to me. The moment it got cooler in November my mood improved so much.
I feel like bookending the boys with the two strongest staches was a good choice. I would LOVE to see more of Drew and Eddy. Maybe a sad boyz adjacent pod like brain leak
jarvis and jordan have such student council kid and ate lunch in the art room kid energy, respectively. i mean that in the best way, like they both made it out of those hypothetical phases and are cooler for the experience
Your comments on LA are so real, I was born and raised here in a working class industrial part of the city and I get so tired of the stereotypes that people online spread about it being full of fake rich people in the entertainment industry when the reality is that they make up less than 10% (if even that) of the LA population. Influencers especially have worsened the stereotypes of LA too and it's annoying af to locals that barely interact with the drama-filled influencer transplants people parade online. No city is perfect but I'm proud to be from LA
I love LA! I’ve visited several times and I love the city and the “normal” parts. everyone acts like LA is either nothing but unhoused addicts or influencer consumerist elites. In my experience it’s neither. I’ve been all over and I think my favorite places are Burbank and el segundo. But the city is so massive there’s so many types of places in LA. I do feel a stronger sense of community staying there with my friend. I miss being there. I can’t wait to go again. It might just be me but there’s a magic in the air there. I think j might just like the ocean 😂
I relate to Jarvis SO much on the sweat thing.I live in the south AND have chronic anxiety so there's been many times where I was doing the most basic non-exerting activities but then had to go to the bathroom and mop my neck and temples like a southern belle who's about to faint...and yeah the paper towels would come away soaked. it's so inconvenient and cringe...at the gym I look like I'm drowning.
I relate to this as well. I have hyperhidrosis, and I sweat from just about everything I do. It sucks and unless you have an underlying condition like say a thyroid issue that can be treated/managed, then there's no cure really
I feel this!! I walk into work in my corporate job trying to look presentable but I’m sweating non stop. I feel like I look so out of shape but really I’m panicking having to just live my life everyday 😂 I eventually got a little fan for my desk that just blows on me all day

My favorite part of the "California bullshit" complaint is that Bethesda Games is based in Bethesda Maryland. A city on the opposite side of the continent.
jarvis as a fellow heavy sweater (and a person who just generally struggles with extreme temperatures/changes in temperature bc of bad circulation) and southerner I FEEL YOU SO MUCH. no i didnt run here im just like this
Drew talking about the hell that is Florida weather during the summer makes me feel so seen. We recently collectively celebrated that the average temp is below 100 degrees again.
As someone who lives in a nordic country, seasonal deppression in late autumn/ winter/ early spring is sooo tough honestly. Dark, cold, wet. ALL THE TIME. I go to school when it's dark, come home when it's dark. As someone with bad blood circulation, the cold is the worst.....

It’s really funny that, like, people also talk about New York as if it’s all the city. I lived in the suburbs, like-
I just moved to San Antonio and I’ve never related to something more when drew was talking about the fuckign humidity. I started really getting into walks before I moved but now that I have it’s so humid I don’t wanna leave my house

For real. He said he felt old and he graduated *high school* in 2016. Bro, I was already graduated from College and fully into my adulthood by 2016. Lol
oh my god the weather bit is so relatable. i live in the tri valley in california and i went outside solely to walk my dog and get to my car during this summer. it was so miserable. i almost miss florida's weather. even now, im sweating in the winter mornings. i need to live in northern norway or something
you all saying the phrase together at the end brought me back to church services as a kid where everyone read a bible verse or something together and it always sounded a little bit haunting
The Chicago thing about them having stereotypes of being violent is really similar to Seattle. If you're from Seattle it's sort of just a city that's being gentrified by tech giants, but if you ask anyone not from Seattle (or even in places like Bellevue which is like a 20 minute drive from where I live in Seattle) you here from those people that we're a town overrun by thugs who kill cops. It's such a funny stereotype considering I feel safe taking public transit home after dark. And then when i say that people look horrified
Yeah, I'm in Cali and It feels like if you are in a city and ask that city's denizens, there is a huge chance they say the city next over is full of cops and crime.
I can relate to the sweating thing. I take Adderall, and it causes sweating. Plus, I live in South Carolina, and we have excessive heat/humidity here too.
