I’m happy to see the views are up on recent videos, been awhile since rudnick broke 100k. The boys deserve it.
A little welding tip (I am not a professional welder) : When you tack the plate into the subframe you should hammer the tack when its cooling; try to hit it right after its no longer red, then move to the next tack. The point of hammering the tacks is to help close the gap since the welds will contract as they cool. Its better to do it with two people rather than one tho.

MATT! it’s called symmetrical OCD! I always did things like that as a kid and things had to be symmetrical. It wasn’t until I was a senior in hs I randomly said this out loud and someone else said “I’m the same way!” Like if I brush up against a bush with my right side, I’d want to do it to my left. If I pick the right side of my inner cheek, I would do it to the left too. I kind of broke myself out of this habit as a teen. I would even wear just 1 sock around the house to try and combat it in a way lol. But yes Matt, I know exactly what you’re on about m8!!!!!

Miata brake rotors are the same. There's a little tool that's a T shaped that comes in the trunk. The more you know 🌟

Chris you need to get a good air hammer and an air compressor if you don't have shop air. The air hammer will change your life if you know how to use it. That job would have been even quicker with one.

The fact that haggard is back together and this is the year I got back into a stick shift car is no coincidence
You have come along way with welding man!! Just a bit more heat or slower wire speed and you'll be starting to drop dimes 👏 consistency comes with practice and practice makes easy
Rudnick when doing any bushing buy some silicone spray from any auto parts store and spray the cavity and the bushing it works amazing and drys up
In case you didnt know, alot of race cars have their chassis stitch welded but if you look closely you will see that they do not weld the entire seam. They will leave short gaps throughout the entire weld because welding the entire seam actually makes it weaker

If you ever have trouble getting the rotors off take the rubber plug out and soak the inside with wD 40 an spin it a few times usually comes right off

Not trying to be mean just was gonna give you some info don’t spray break clean on stuff your about to weld it creates phosgene gas and hydrogen chloride which is deadly if you do it a lot and constantly welding all day but love you guys keep doing what your doing just giving some info
I weld sheet metal all day and I keep my welder at 19v and about 308 wire speed and I get damn near perfect beads every time with those settings.
