After the show I went backstage to catch a glimpse of Anita or Sudir...to no avail. There were too many fans pushing and shoving. Thank god for the bodyguards or the stars would have been squashed!

@leelatiff Each performer received an award for his/her contribution towards his/her respective country. So Sudir was the only one who went home with 2 awards - the other for Best Performance of the evening! I still love them both - Anita and Sudir - though :)
kalau nak dinilai anita sarawak dengan sudirman tidak jauh bezanya... bezanya sedikit adalah lagu sudirman yang kedua adalah lagu original dan persembahan sudirman begitu teratur dan tidak mempunyai penari latar.. tetapi pada pandangan saya, kedua-duanya adalah penghibur terbaik asia... cumanya hanya juri profesional sahaja yang tahu menilai tentang muzik dan persembahan mereka yang bertanding... terima kasih... if you want to be evaluated by Sudirman anita sarawak not much different ... a little different is the second song is Sudirman original songs and performances Sudirman so organized and have no dancer .. but in my opinion, both are the best performers asia ... just that only professional judges who know about music and evaluate their performance running ... thanks ...
Bagi saya bukan nak merendahkan sudirman Tetapi Persembahan Anita Sarawak sememangnya Profesional dan layak di gelar Penghibur,,masakan menjadi orang Asia Pertama yang dapat menyanyi di Las Vegas Amerika Syarikat berpuluh Tahun sampai superstar Hollywood Diana Ross Pun dikatakan datang menengok persembahan Anita Sarawak di LasVegas ketika itu,,nak harap kan penyanyi Melayu sekarang menyanyi di las Vegas mimpi di siang hari lah jawabnya,,
bimba- lola pertandingan ini tidak dinilai pencapaian sejauh mana yg dicapai oleh seseorang penyanyi sebelumnya tetapi kesungguhan, teknik nyanyian dan persembahan dalam pertandingan ini itu yg dinilai oleh juri... tetapi itulah pengalaman anita seorang penghibur yg hebat.. kita ta perlu gaduh2.. anita akui sudirman sahabat yg baik walaupon sudirman menang tapi tetap merendah diri dan ta lupa diri ta seperti artis sekarang.. itulah rezeki sudirman... dan orang putih pon puji pitching sudir is very perfect...

Saya rasa begitu juga dgn mereka ni lah agaknya.Tersalah makan teros jadilah macam bantal peluk kan? LOL!

Sudirman berjaya memenangi pada malam tersebut kerana lagunya yang sangat berbeza dan dicipta sendiri dan bukannya "cover version". Keduanya, jika dilihat persembannnya sangat berbeza dari yang lain.
Why there is no more Asia music award in Royal Albert Hall....maybe Malaysia can send Faizal Tahir as Best Asia Performer....FT also follow Sudir style in Albert Hall...different...when Sudir throw his jacket....he still wear sleeveless..but FT throw x only his jacket also t-shirt singlet and belt where he show his Superman logo on his chest....
ni nak tambah sikit pasal aishah ni,,,,menurut info saya dapat aishah balik malaysia time t umor dia bukanya tua sangat pun dlm hujung 20an,,,,masa lagu dia masuk top 100 billboards USA kira dlm 20an dok gitu,,,tapi aishah ni jenis homec=sick people lah cepat nak balik kampong,,,sapa bolih jawab kenapa aishah berpecah dgn fanclub waktu itu?apa sebab?saya dpt info ada sekor ahli fanclub tak berapa ngam atau denki dgn dia that why lah aishah angkat kaki???mereka takut aishah lebih famous dr mereka

It's great to reflect on the memories of Anita, I was a child growing up Malaysia and I remember her back then. now in 2021, who feels the same way.
