Sadly I have had one of these for just over a week from another firm and ,out of the box dabs cannot be updated plus every thing needs updating and unable to get it sorted . Sad Kenwood send out none working units. My last 3 car unit have been Kenwood with no problems but I will not buy another one.
Can i ask how exactly did you wire this unit up in the video? Im trying to install this into vauxhall corsa D and its not turning on at all. Ive only plugged in the plug and play wires with the gps and no luck. Do i need attach more wires in order to get this screen just to turn on? And yes i am using a a quadlock to iso kit.
Is this basically the same as JVC KW-M785DBW? It has the same features, and both JVC and Kenwood uses the exact same picture on their respective webpages showing the backside of the unit.
I installed on kia venga 2103 had to have a separate kit ( wiring chassis ) bought from connects 2 it's a kit to integrate with steering wheel control and dashboard mount to blend to dashboard .
Haha I´m planning to do the same in my e36 touring. Yes these fit. The Kenwood (7,5cm) is 5 cm shorter than the short case Pioneer SPH DA360DAB (12,5 cm). I didnt install it yet, no time. The pioneer might hit the a/c ducts in the back of the dashboard. Not sure though. The Pioneer might also be short enough. The even shorter Kenwood will definitely fit

Have you tested audio quality at all on it? What do you mean nothing works?
Firm I brought it from never helped in any way and in the end we finally got the update to work and the unit has worked very well so far.
how on earth do you connect the steering wheel controls?? I bought a connects 2 box and it doesnt work. I need to hard wire it but how!

Can you connect OEM original reverse camera to this? My vito camera pops out when in use, and hides when not. Anyone know if its compatible? cheers
Quick question do you have to upload the address book from your phone each time you get in the car on these units ?
No ! Just allows the radio to access it if desired, so once off setting !

What happens if you don't connect the green wire to the e-brake?🤔
Screen mirroring won't work. I've yet to come across anything else where the unit has told me to apply the handbrake.
Forgot how I done it but think you have to earth it or 12v it. Then it thinks the hand brake is on so you can watch films on the go
