So I don't have a incubator and my dragon ginger laid next to me on my recliner by my thigh dug into the crack thought she was cuddling with me and kept doing a wiggle and when I looked down she had her tail raised and had laid one egg so I totally freaked out and told my wife. I had to scramble and make a incubator for the eggs though, so the eggs are in a container with a heating pad wrapped in a cloth and under a ceramic heater and the insulation is worm bedding that is moistened I also have a dual temp meter in there for the heat and moisture. Do you think if that's good enough I don't want to disturb them to much.
    Thanks Lloyd

i would love to see some product reviews for UVB bulbs. there's coil and tube plus i've seen led uvb. it would be cool the see the difference in cost to effectiveness... what i'm trying to say is Cheap vs expensive.
I would also love to see more vids on ball pythons... mostly explaining morph's, also i love seeing the baby balls move about. would love to see how those weird babies turned out and what your thought one what is going on with them after they hatched.
    edit: spelling.

thank you so much its so difficult to get certain information, my beardie shes 7 yrs old laid her first clutch, was not intending on breeding, i have a male and female who have been in their own tanks for quite a while. i had them for 7 yrs!! they spent a few hours together in the bath (most of the time) and then in a single tank for about an hour , when in shallow bath i was in process of thoroughly cleaning their tanks & they were still shedding so i figured they would enjoy the warm water while i did my thing, few weeks later she laid eggs,
i don't know yet if their fertile, i read how to check but still unsure as its only 6 days now, 2 are pretty plumb, white and the eggs seem to be growing/expanding (would they do this if they were NOT fertile? or would they eventually rot?
i had 11, but had to toss one today, so the remaining 10, while not all looking the best, they dont stink, their in vermiculite much like how you explain, im fighting away tiny flies and constantly keeping their eggs off my eggs, its so much work. i cant afford a proper incubator, if i was breeding them then yes i would invest but this was an absolute surprise !!! we bought vermiculite tonight and their now snug in good warm smoosh ...i hope at least a cpl are good! i did see some veins & spots inside the egg in a candling last night. but still idk, im both excited and worried i did so much work for nothing lol except i did ern the experience in case it happens again or if i maybe do want to try to breed them after all!
i subscribed and hope to learn more here :D
    sorry for book lol

@@turtlejeepjen314 hey! yeah it was an interesting experience to say the least lol after a cpl weeks, one by one i had to remove bad eggs, i was down to 4, but unfortunately they were not fertile :( at the same time, im glad. because i prolly would have kept them all and i just don't have the room for all the tanks LOL
EDIT: One good thing came from it, i learned a WHOLE lot about all things dragon eggs etc :)

It does have a red round spot in it but no veins. I don’t want to take it out in case it does have a baby in it. Can you give me a input or shoot a link my way that I can see and learn thank you.

Have you ever experienced 2 female bearded dragons mating? Mine are confusing. One has definitely laid eggs. I tried the whole flash light up to the tail and such on the one that hasn't laid eggs and I don't see any gentilia near the tail base but yet he'l mount my egg laying female and mate with her. Is he definitely a male or just acting like a dominant female?

She totally ignores mealworms, but she will occasionally eat a hornworm. The other thing is she loves water she will sit there and drink it right out of a little bottle out of my hand.

They need to be controlled withe a thermostat. they will get 120 to 150 F witch is way to hot. i recommend a cheap $20 thermostat off amazon and a $20 timer BD really need there heat on a timer hot during the day 90+ and cool at night mid 70's.
Skip the heat rock all together and get a heat lamp. The hot spot can be adjusted with just by the height of the lamp from the tank.
I recommend a mini halogen dome there $20 ish and the bulbs are $3 to $5 depending on witch one you get off amazon. They get plenty hot and the bulbs are cheap and small enough so you can keep a couple on hand. there's only one thing with halogen, don't touch the bulb with bare hands. they get so hot that the oils from touching them will burn them out fast. i use disposable gloves to install and haven't had a prob.

    • @thepurpleones
