Megasew Flatlock Threading

In this video, we'll show you how to thread your flatlock machine correctly for new machines or a thread color change. If this does not fix the issue on sewing, change the needles out; this unit is very sensitive and sometimes requires needle changes to ensure perfect stitches.

Hi. I am just starting to learn to use the flatlock machine. I am having issues with missed stitches. I have checked the threading. Do you have any troubleshooting videos for the flatlock? Thanks for the threading video, it was very informative. I love the machine, but am getting frustrated with not getting a good seam.

Удобнее и проще нитку заправлять с правой иголки так как следующая идёт выше и соответственно не цепляет за предыдущую ) А так , пружинные пластины не подготовлены , винты не отполированы - привет затяжки и прогибы строчки . И ещё по уму режущая часть подвижного ножа должна быть уже чем у неподвижного

We have bought this machine. Could you tell me what needles we should use for sewing neoprene 2mm /4mm thanks for any help.

You can still use size 11 needle for 2mm but 12 would be a balanced size for using both.
If you go bigger, you have to make sure the needle plate stitch tongue is the heavier type but the size 12 will be good for you.

My flat lock may not be able to create a chain stitch, is that normal?

Yes covering the basics comes first: Change Needles, Check Threading/Tension, Engage your first stitch by rotating the hand pulley until the chain forms then sew. If these do not work then look for any visible damage around the plate, foot, needle plate tongue.
