I am he who is known as Gloopy Long Legs, I had no clue this was you 😂 I’m so stoked to see our epic battle, it truly is the Bonks we meet along the way ❤
Really silly how everyone keeps fighting about dark souls 2, people can dislike it, people can like it. It all comes down to personal preferences, and compared to the other games, dark souls 2 is simply the closest to being a different genre.
I’m absolutely in love with these ridiculously long gameplay videos because i get to watch them at my own pace instead of relying on the TH-camr to drop another episode. Sean is doing everything right.
You also don’t have to deal with multiple vids getting broken up by other slightly related content that might interrupt the flow. And if you are using them as background noise/stimulation while doing other things, you don’t have to touch anything or look up other vids for a while
@@gloomygloomstalker3878This is exactly why I’ve been enjoying them. I can draw with them in the background and don’t have to deal with the annoyance of repeatedly being interrupted because I have to find a new video.
I know these Fromsoft series’ don’t get as much attention as what’s “mainstream”, but any game you play that you actually love to play, are always my favorite to watch. I know on the podcast you briefly mentioned missing the outgoing parts of your personality in your videos, but when you do things like this, it’s more present. I don’t think you ever lost it-it’s just in a different form. And it’s just as wonderful as it used to be. Hope you’re doing well my friend.
After Elden Ring’s massive success, I feel it is unfair to call these games non mainstream. A lot of people were introduced to them after playing Elden Ring.
Dark Souls, especially the first one, has been the talks of major publications. It's how the "It's just like Dark Souls!" meme came to be because journalists kept calling slightly harder video games "just like dark souls". So no I don't think these games are "not what you call 'mainstream'".
And the interesting part about that is they're literally the greatest games known to man. But they are difficult for the general public which doesn't make them accessible to many

I feel a lot of people think of "Don't you dare go hollow" and other npc dialogue from ds1 as some of the most iconic but because my introduction to the series was DS3 "Prithee, be careful" is what lives rent free in my head
This happens to me with any game that has you go to an NPC for weapon purchases or upgrades. Pretty much all the blacksmith lines from Skyrim are still burned into my head years later
One interesting theory (from Vati?) that I always liked was the one where the new painting ends up being the world of Bloodborne. Cause it was painted with Gael's blood. And that's why the 'souls' in that game are 'blood echoes' - they're the dark soul transformed into blood by Gael. So Gael helped to create Bloodborne. Felt like a fitting tribute.
@@KavsLockedOut Is she his daughter? She refers to him as "uncle Gael" all the time. I know that it's implied that the painter girl is the daughter of Crossbreed Priscilla, but I never heard anything about Gael being her father.
I said this exact thing when I was fighting Gael for the first time recently. Thought I was a genius for describing it like that but apparently I heard it from somewhere and gaslit myself into thinking I said it first
Some very awesome details Jack forgot to mention I'd like to mention myself. Everytime you took the very big Plunges in Dreg Heap you went back in time, the first big plunge takes you to Dark souls 2, as Jack said the fire lady is a character in that game. And when you drop to the Demon Princes which Lorian killed, you're at Dark Souls 1, dropping literally into Firelink Shrine in ds1. And then you go even further in time to the Ring City back when Gwyn was Alive I think? In the Painting of Ariandel, it is a Painting inside the painting of Ariames, the Painting of Ariames rotted and fell to ruin same as Ariandel, so Father made a new world written on Ariames. And we are making the Third Painting, where we can have a world inside where everything has Ended.

Ok so just gonna clarify a couple things 1. The lords of cinder refused to do it because there was 0 reason to link the flame. The twin princes didn't do it because they KNEW there was nothing in it for them. The abyss watchers didn't because the flame didn't keep the abyss at bay, so why do it? Aldritch didn't do it because he was basically stuff'd into the first flame because he was INCREDIBLY strong at the time. And Yhorm didn't because he had nothing left to protect, so why link it if it wouldn't be able to protect his loved ones? 2. The princes DID succeed in letting the fire fade, because originally you never actually got called from your grave (untended graves is what the original timeline was) but since fire and time are so closely related or maybe because of the guy we meet who actually was willing to link the flame again, we end up getting called. 3. Ashen ones are the "ash" of those who failed to link the fire (they just got dumped as kindling into the first flame instead of being able to link it, they got their ass handed to them by SoC) given life. And called by the toll of the bell to head to firelink shrine, where they are told what to do. You of course are the only one who is supposed to link the flame, the others got called to finish their job when it comes to their beef with the lords of cinder (Anri and Horace, Siegward and that other guy are a good example of those who only were called to slay 1 lord of cinder.) while we were called to basically kill every boss in our path. We kill literally everything, we kill gods, god devourers, dragons (bootleg ones not real ones) and a TON of other random beasts and tough opponents. Like, we had no reason to go to archdragon peak. We just went there and killed people that were just chilling there. There ya go, 2 important facts to help clarify some stuff.
Actually, the Ashen ones are the ones who managed to get to the flame to link it, but on trying they got burned to ash instead of serving as fuel like the ones who successfully linked the flame. That's why they're awakened: they are those who managed to reach the flame, and just lacked the strength to fuel it. That's why the Keeper gives you the ashes of the lords before you go into the Kiln, so as to make you strong enough to successfully link it this time.
@@NeroCM yes... thats what I said, the ashen ones are the ones who made it there but failed at the last step and basically just got dumped into the flame and turned into ash, they couldnt "kindle it" they just kinda choked at the end and got turned into ash to be resurrected to finish the job.
@@duckyduckington9736You said "they got their ass handed to them by SoC" which is not at all what happened. They reached the flame like a proper candidate, like the Chosen undead in DS1, but when they reached into the flame to link it instead of becoming a bit of extra fuel they got incinerated instead. To be fair, the lore isn't really clear on why the chosen undead, or the bearer of the curse, would be strong enough to link the fire while the ashen one originally could, or why the ashen one ends up being able to do it at the end of DS3 when they weren't before. Is it that some times, when the fire fades, there aren't gods and demons around to kill, so the champions who try to link it manage to reach the flame without collecting enough souls to do it? ... Are all the people who win the lvl 1 challenge the ashen ones we play as in DS3?
@@NeroCM im sorry to break it to you, but we have like jack and shit to work with for "confirmation" what is true though is that they most definitely got turned to ash by the first flame. Whether failing to beat the soul of cinder or beating him. Both are technically correct, we have no way of knowing which is wrong. So we both right okay?
@@duckyduckington9736... No, we do know. If someone fails to defeat the Soul of Cinder, they just die and have to try again. And again and again, until they either win or go fully hollow. The ashen ones used to be undead like everyone else. If they couldn't defeat SoC they'd just go hollow. It's only because they could defeat it and reach the flame to try and link it that they could burn to ash like they did.
I just wanna say it, get it off my chest. I love hearing Sean talk. I often play his videos as I play the same games as him (even doing it rn). It's just comforting having another voice alongside you when you're playing. Helps you feel not so lonely.
Love how in the dark souls 1 video Sean says there’d have to be a lot of want for him to do dark souls 2. Then this opens with “I’m going them all, even dark souls 2”. Can’t wait to watch them all 😊
@@joberk3DS2 is pretty much majority voted to be the worst soulsborne game ever. I can attest, the way that game plays just felt awful to me. I beat it, but it just felt bitter with how much I struggled more than I usually would at a soulsborne game
LETS GOOOOOO! I literally already rewatched the full Dark Souls play through yesterday. I even went back to Bloodborne and Elden Ring. I’ve been waiting for this.
At first, I thought I couldn't be any happier with a 6-hour video of DS1 but now? I'm ascending from happiness right now. I am so glad you haven't retired yet Sean, and have given us this beauty.
hey jack been listening to your Fromsoft game playthroughs as background noise when im studying. Been having a pretty shit semester in college but your playthroughs have been helping out immensely to keep me sane. Keep up the good work man and thank you so much!
Something I find fascinating is that the Hollowslayer Greatsword, which, as you might guess, does extra damage to Hollow enemies only gets its damage bonus during the Slave Knight Gael fight when he enters his 2nd phase. This is a lore statement made clearly and emphatically through a mechanical change, the best kind of rpg storytelling. It implies that the only thing keeping him sane was the goal of retrieving the blood of the dark soul, and when he realized he had succeeded, he immediately lost it and went Hollow. What makes that even more interesting is the fact that Gael goes from fighting like a beast when sane to fighting like a man when Hollow. As though losing his mind made him draw on his origins as a knight to fill in a gap in his present self perception.
I think the same happens to the Nameless King in phase 2 of his fight where the Hollowslayer sword gets the damage bonus there too. The Nameless King having to put his beloved Stormdrake down ended up making him go Hollow
I always thought when we go into phase 2, he goes completely hollow, his will/conscious leaves him, and his body (including his brain and memories) is taken over by the Dark Soul inside him. Minus you, a Ringed Knight, and Shira, it's safe to say he pretty much has all that's left of the Dark Soul to obtain, and its raw power is enough to call actual lightning down from the sky, not Gwyn's fake "condensed sunlight" lightning

So thankful Jack makes these kinds of long videos. I’m not even necessarily a fan of these types of games, I’m terrible at them. But watching Jack enjoy himself playing a game he loves while I’m sick for is truly a blessing.
Man, the whole siegward arc of him joining the adventure and dying in the next 10 seconds but then taking his armor to carry his legacy...this is dark souls and i'm here for it
Jack: I wanna show the game. Also Jack: Accidentally gets some cool NPC side quests killed. We will sadly never know the full extent of his love for this game.

"I wanna show the game." Meanwhile Yoel: Level up'd once and died Yuria: Never showed up Anri: Unmarried Orbeck: Never made it to Shrine Cornyx: Saved and forgotten Patches: Butted in once, Lapp never even mentioned Siegward: 😭 Greirat: Sent to death Irina: Who?
i dont think theres actually another youtuber who i could sit down for 8 hours straight and watch with such enjoyment, i'm so excited for the videos to come i can't wait
Man, the ending with gael and the painter ALWAYS hits so damn hard. The entire story, the entire franchise with all its insane stories and journeys ends in such a somber, understated way. Hidden in a closet in the middle of nowhere, in the middle of another universe, begins a gentle new one. Thanks to just 3 people who have made it to the end of time. You, gael and the painter. Such a fucking amazingly well written end.
LETS GOOOO, Sean you definitely got me into the soulsbourne games and now I’ve played bloodbourne elden ring and about to finish DS3, love love love this content. We are able to watch it over the course of multiple days 😍😍😍
These long play-throughs are the definition of cosy. It takes me back to a simpler time when you're a kid. You and a buddy get together on a lazy Sunday and try to finish your favourite game in one sitting. The thought of school the next day looms, and god forbid you need to wait a week (a whole week!?) to complete the game the following weekend. Your friend has just read the latest gaming magazine, so he knows all the latest lore and the tips and tricks. You're both so excited to discover the rumoured secret passage way mentioned in an article with the blurry low-res photos. Bliss... Thank you for this Seán, keep up the great work!
Ah, the duality of dark souls. "At the end of time, the end of space, when all turns to ash and cinder and old heroes throw down their arms. What has become of these dying worlds? The festering decay eating away waits for no one. Through flame and shadow, advance and decide the fate of all." And "Hejhe big rock go bomnk" Art, in its purest form.
The most beautiful example of art I can think of. When two people, equally the same as they are different, can come to both the deepest, profound conclusion, and the stupidest most simple result in the world, and ultimately both walk away with similar or completely different experiences of the art piece.
These FromSoftware “all in one” videos hold a special place in my heart. commentary is amazing, can’t wait to watch you do Sekiro, Demon Souls, and DS2!!!!!
The kid from the painting mentioning Gael made me tear up, having the player kill someone then going back to another character who knew them and is waiting for them always gets me.
There's a theory about how Gael is still alive you just killed the version of him in the ringed city. I don't it's true knowing fromsoft. Reminds me of the theory that the pained world the girl makes is Yharnam.
If I remember correctly, the Canon ending is letting the age of fire end. Meaning you killed all the lords of cinder because they refused to link the fire, and then didn't link the fire. 😂
Honestly I love this format where you play a game from start to end in 1 shot. This is something you could do from time to time between doing other creative things if you wanted.
It took me several days to watch this entire thing. I'm so happy to see Seán play the game that got me into the souls-borne games. I had never completed the game on my own ever, so I was absolutely amazed to finally play it again and destroy everything on a new playthrough using the BONK build. As someone who has 100% Bloodborne and Elden Ring, I will happily say, Darksouls 3 will be added to that list very soon. Thanks Seán!
7:18:00 Swords like that actually exist. They are called executioners sword. They are way too heavy and unwieldy for combat, but can cleave a head of easily, which is what they were designed and used for.
My favorite thing is this playthrough is how every time Jack says "get in da fucking ground, bitch!" it gets more enthusiastic and victorious! Hell of a victory cry! Also Bonk's dream running reminds me of cartoons when they try to run away but run in place at first
35:38 i still associate this elevator with that one time in the Game Grumps’ playthrough that Arin was desperately scrambling to escape the dogs, got on the elevator while screaming “I GOTTA GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE” and then beginning to sing elevator music, and finally getting hit by a dog and knocked off the elevator to his death.
I usually get bored during really long videos, but I love ds3 quite a bit, so I didn't get bored at all. On a side note, a friend of mine mentioned that, during the gale boss fight, none of the lightning is gold colored, showing us that gwyn is completely gone and all that's truely left is two nobodies fighting for nothing.
Fun fact, Sean's theory at about 7:00:00, the black hole thing, that's more or less what the Big Crunch theory is. At least, the Big Crunch is the idea that the universe will at some point stop expanding and coalesce back into a single point; it's the reverse process of the Big Bang, basically
Hey Jack, fun fact about the dog teleport! Their model unloads when your not looking at them so when the game data reads that they are attacking it summons their model right next to you since its AI behaves that if its attacking it must be in range and just teleports them over
So the dogs are just weeping angles. Don't ever take your eyes off them. (Or for the young whipper snappers that don't know Dr Who - like a coil head from Lethal Company)
@@BirdyBoi6670you are wrong, Zullie clearly shows that it is just an issue with them being placed in mode when off camera that does fewer calculations. They don’t actually have a teleportation move.
I love seeing Jack play these games and appreciate the longer style videos and horror stuff he does. His Dark Souls and Bloodborne fascination has infected me and I love the lore, etc. Great stuff, Jack!
Once all these games are beaten with Bonk, I think it'll be my favourite series on the entire channel. I ADORE these videos! LONG LIVE THE BONKENING!!!
@@connallcunningham7398 Considering it was the secondary studio and the only flaw the game has is broken hitboxes/adaptability, its heavily overhated. Great game that just isn't on par with the other 2, but still amazing and fun.
@@connallcunningham7398 I’ve never played ds2, but from what I’ve heard it just seems like Dark Souls 2 had a lot of mechanics that were too much to handle for newer players (I-frames being tied to a stat, Bonfire estects) and also some of the hit boxes were… less than fantastic
Since you brought up the time travel aspect, I thought you might find this anecdote amusing. Some time ago, I ran a Dark Souls tabletop game (D&D) where I leaned in to the time is messed up aspect to bring in all my favorite stuff from all three games. I also let my players choose between original characters and existing NPCs, so our party consisted of the Emerald Herald, Solaire, Lucatile, and the dead Witch of Izaleth whose clothes you steal from Ceaseless Discharge. At first, things went well - the party wandered through areas from various Dark Souls games confused and disoriented and fighting horrors of various sorts. However, because my players are smarties, they picked up on time being weird and started using it to their advantage. The Witch of Izalith character, for example, found a bonfire that was farther back in time and used it to reach Izalith before the upper area became blight town and save her sisters - they were still spider-demons, but they were no longer slowly dying/insane. Solaire, meanwhile, used did the same to find the Nameless King (who I decided was the 'Sun' he was looking for) before he fell. By the time the party had finished, they'd unmade basically all of Dark Souls canon and brought the age of fire crashing down around them - it was insane and hilarious. The lesson? Never ever give D&D players access to time travel. And, if you do, sit back, have a drink, and enjoy watching the world burn. Or, in this case, stop burning (age of darkness).
I do typically like the Linking the Flame endings in the other DS games, but for me the truest and most hopeful ending to DS3 will always be the Age of Dark. You let the cycle of extending an age long since due to end finally end, and though the world is dark, flame will rise again, but hopefully into less corrupt and fearful hands. I also love that it ends with the firekeeper saying "Ashen One, hear'st thou my voice still?" as that is such a perfect line to send of the Dark Souls trilogy.
These long videos have been my absolute favourite. I GASPED of excitement when I saw this show up in my feed and couldn’t wait to sit down and experience your love for these games again!
The Gael Ending Battle was so visually well done! The red smoke having skulls inside it, the immense power behind every hit spitting dust around, and the achiness you see in Gael's moves all combined into a masterpiece. I hate I've never seen it until now, but I'm glad Sean could guide me to the glorious ending!
2:31:30 Thats great point, cuz it’s the same thing Miyazaki said in the dlc interview, when he has to make a sequel just cuz it is successful it makes him feel limited.
I love that you do these long play-throughs in this way. It’s like going over to your friends house on your day off and he’s like “you need to see this game dude,” and you sit entranced as he kills every moving thing and peppers everything with tiny commentary showing both his unabashed fanboi love and his expertise. Then you get the game and play more confidently than you would on your own because you saw Jack beat the shit outta that boss without a shield in one go. Thank you Mr. Septiceye. ❤❤
I absolutely love these super long videos. I get to snuggle up for bed time (or after getting my teeth drilled by the dentist like rn) and fall asleep watching my favorite comfort creator, then after that i still am only 2 hours in so I probably have another 3 nights of this awesomeness. I actually cant stress enough how much i love this.
I gave up on trying to play ds3 months ago. But I’ve watched this video like 5 times now and it’s renewed my confidence and I’ve actually made it to Farron Keep!! It’s the farthest I’ve ever gotten and I have so much more confidence in my ability to navigate the game. It’s becoming an obsession and honestly I’m grateful for that. I’ve been stuck on Elden ring or Bloodborne so it’s a nice change of pace.
Actually ds3 is like the beginner of the soulsborne series. So, u made the right decision actually. Complete ds3 cuz this game is like your teacher for the souls games.
Dude, so fun fact about the brain I learned while watching someone’s video with helpful tips on the dark souls games, once you hit that wall of having trouble with a part and getting frustrated when you go to sleep at night there’s some weird shit where your subconscious tries to rework better ways to problem solve to get past those harder bosses or parts. So if you get stuck just take a a nap! It can actually help in this weird little psychological way!
@@Honeybutterbis thank you!! I’ve managed to beat pontiff Sulyvahn and now I’m on my way to Anor Londo! I just have to make it past all of the archers on the rooftops lol

I love these longer videos! I have never seen any Dark Souls game and know practically none of the lore, so thank you Jack for describing little details as you go along! Watching you play these games has been an extremely immersive experience. ❤

You’re the only person other than me I’ve heard say dancer is their favorite fight in ds3. I always loved her elegant attacks and amazing design. Paired with the music is just 👌🏽🤌🏽 chefs kiss
When playing these games, I always liked the idea of defeating ancient, overpowered warriors, kings, lords and even gods as old as time itself with what is essential a big stick I found in the woods. Bonk for life
Loved this playthrough, all hail Bonk! Just in case people were wondering, the skeletons with the white eyes are the ones that you have to kill twice and the leech bleed effect can be countered by equipping a torch in your 2nd slot on either side and when you bring it out it burns off the leeches. I hope this helps someone in a future playthrough! ❤ to all, stay safe ashen ones.
This series has reaffirmed my commitment to actually finish these games, Ive had Dark Souls 1 for years and Ive never finished it, same with Sekiro and Elden Ring, I love the lore of these games and Im gonna do it this time
The Nameless King's characterization in that single moment where he absorbs the power of his dragon is incredible, unlike Ornstein who put his hand on Smough as a means to take his power, Nameless does it purely out of respect and unlike Smough who doesn't hesitate for even a second to crush Ornstein, Nameless takes a moment after lifting the spear as if he's contemplating going through with it.
2:21:40 Is the 3 fires in the swamp not because those are the lord souls from dark souls 1 and seath just gets given a part of Gwins soul? Then the door opens in the swamp as an homage to the door to gwins boss fight after offering the lord souls. In a way it’s like you’re extinguishing their souls again in order to open another door
I love the Souls videos, it’s really fun to see content creators playing games they love and its a bonus that I absolutely love the souls series as well.

Took me a few days but i finished the video!! i loved the existentialism discussion and how you can find a connection to your views through such a viscerally beautiful game. Can't wait to watch you play Bloodborne again! your enjoyment of it made it one of my favorite games to watch people play, so thank you!
Dark Souls 2 was my first fromsoft game and I was super stoked when you said in this video that youd do it eventually, especially after you shared your thoughts on it before. I really hope you can approach it with fresh eyes and find what people appreciate about it, because it is very much a departure from DS1
I am he who is known as Gloopy Long Legs, I had no clue this was you 😂 I’m so stoked to see our epic battle, it truly is the Bonks we meet along the way ❤
The Bonkening begins!
if this is true then it's incredible, you should be truly honored sir.
I really hope you're telling the truth! Gloopy Long Legs is legend now!
well, if it truly was you, awesome!
Gloopy Long Legs is a legend! If this was actually u kudos😂
Dark Souls 2 will happen. I’ll get to it eventually. For now I’m so thankful for the support ❤
Your character literally looks like patches 🤣
We love you
I'm so here for all the fromsoft games.
Really silly how everyone keeps fighting about dark souls 2, people can dislike it, people can like it. It all comes down to personal preferences, and compared to the other games, dark souls 2 is simply the closest to being a different genre.
Ds2 is my favorite one hope to see it covered :)
And if you are using them as background noise/stimulation while doing other things, you don’t have to touch anything or look up other vids for a while
It's actually why I stopped watching him. I don't have the time budget nor the willpower to stop a video when it starts
@@gloomygloomstalker3878This is exactly why I’ve been enjoying them. I can draw with them in the background and don’t have to deal with the annoyance of repeatedly being interrupted because I have to find a new video.
"you go in da fuckin' gwound beetch"
editor nailing it with the cheering🥳
@TrentHamsley bot's trying too hard lmao
And the interesting part about that is they're literally the greatest games known to man. But they are difficult for the general public which doesn't make them accessible to many

I feel a lot of people think of "Don't you dare go hollow" and other npc dialogue from ds1 as some of the most iconic but because my introduction to the series was DS3
"Prithee, be careful" is what lives rent free in my head
In every survival game I play that has smithing and signs, the forge area gets a sign over the entrance with exactly that quote.
This happens to me with any game that has you go to an NPC for weapon purchases or upgrades. Pretty much all the blacksmith lines from Skyrim are still burned into my head years later
Ah, prithee be careful. Brought back a lot
Prithee be careful is how I often part with my homies
"don't want me work to be squandered EHEHEH"
One interesting theory (from Vati?) that I always liked was the one where the new painting ends up being the world of Bloodborne. Cause it was painted with Gael's blood. And that's why the 'souls' in that game are 'blood echoes' - they're the dark soul transformed into blood by Gael. So Gael helped to create Bloodborne. Felt like a fitting tribute.
Yes it was Vati. Pretty sure he said it’s not a serious theory towards the end of the video.
Maybe not a serious theory but I fw it heavy I like that isea
even then it’s a really cool headcanon
The best way I've ever heard the Gael fight described is "It's the perfect Dark Souls fight. Two nobodies fighting over nothing at the end of time."

@@wife_beater_ ah, you are probably right haha that's my bad! Thanks for the answer 😊
Ok so just gonna clarify a couple things

I have been doing the same. Its so nice
I know I am commenting late but I hope the rest of the year was/is better for you. Keep up the good work. :)
Fucking 6 years after I completed this game I am still learning new things, lore related or otherwise.
Fascinating
I always thought when we go into phase 2, he goes completely hollow, his will/conscious leaves him, and his body (including his brain and memories) is taken over by the Dark Soul inside him. Minus you, a Ringed Knight, and Shira, it's safe to say he pretty much has all that's left of the Dark Soul to obtain, and its raw power is enough to call actual lightning down from the sky, not Gwyn's fake "condensed sunlight" lightning
I didn’t know that, i just used it for a Lucatiel cosplay

The kid from the painting mentioning Gael made me tear up, having the player kill someone then going back to another character who knew them and is waiting for them always gets me.
The Fair Lady calling you Quelaag is so sad
I watched it in one day
7:18:00 Swords like that actually exist.

I didn't know you could land on the slugs, and that squish was so satisfying and hilarious!

I am so very happy that I became a member again. It's been so long! Also I love watching you play the full games in one episode it's so much fun!!
Ay yo! I was just rewatching Jack play Elden Ring and Bloodborne, after watching Dark Souls. Hell yeah! Thank you.
Same! Actually watching him play Elden Ring got me to buy it and play through it. It’s hell, but fun lmao
Lol, same here as well!
@@RE-dh3rw Me, too... freaky!
I was doing the exact same thing
Same! And I was about to rewatch the DS1 one shot vid when this dropped!
4:40:10 love the paintwork on the Dancer! As someone who used to paint warhammer figures professionally you did a really good job!
Their model unloads when your not looking at them so when the game data reads that they are attacking it summons their model right next to you since its AI behaves that if its attacking it must be in range and just teleports them over
no the game caps the enemies frames lower when off screen, since the dogs move really fast they appear to be teleporting cause of their low frame rate
@@rohmthrombler im pretty sure zullie the witch did a video showing that they do literally just teleport but i might be wrong
So the dogs are just weeping angles. Don't ever take your eyes off them.
(Or for the young whipper snappers that don't know Dr Who - like a coil head from Lethal Company)
@@ASimpleInternetUserAn excellent analogy, couldn't have worded it better myself 😂
Hell yeah
Once all these games are beaten with Bonk, I think it'll be my favourite series on the entire channel. I ADORE these videos! LONG LIVE THE BONKENING!!!
Petition for Jack to play DS2.
Absolutely love DS2. I don’t understand why so many hate it 🤷♂️
@@connallcunningham7398 cowardice, the lot of the
@@connallcunningham7398 Considering it was the secondary studio and the only flaw the game has is broken hitboxes/adaptability, its heavily overhated.
@@connallcunningham7398 it could be because some of the bosses aren’t that good and the amount of enemies in some areas is insane

Thats great point, cuz it’s the same thing Miyazaki said in the dlc interview, when he has to make a sequel just cuz it is successful it makes him feel limited.

5 times, 5 times, oh my god
Dude, so fun fact about the brain I learned while watching someone’s video with helpful tips on the dark souls games, once you hit that wall of having trouble with a part and getting frustrated when you go to sleep at night there’s some weird shit where your subconscious tries to rework better ways to problem solve to get past those harder bosses or parts. So if you get stuck just take a a nap! It can actually help in this weird little psychological way!
Also good luck! I’ve only beat it once, but may try to go full solo by playing along with jack.
@@Honeybutterbis thank you!! I’ve managed to beat pontiff Sulyvahn and now I’m on my way to Anor Londo! I just have to make it past all of the archers on the rooftops lol

Also love how the demon prince boss fight takes place in the original firelink shrine area from dark souls 1. So glad to see people still playing Dark souls 3!
it does??
I love these longer videos! I have never seen any Dark Souls game and know practically none of the lore, so thank you Jack for describing little details as you go along! Watching you play these games has been an extremely immersive experience. ❤
I am LIVING for the Souls series videos!!!
That Dancer figurine is so beautiful! It looks so well done, as if it's an official piece of merch!
Soul of Cinder was actually just OG, DS1 Bonk, and the only reason he lost was because he gave up the bonk to use a sword and magic.
I love when you just do what you wanna do it’s your channel and I’ll be here to watch whatever you post because you always add the Jacksepticeye spin to whatever you are doing! Just keep having fun with channel and we will keep watching!
I love the pause in gameplay for a show-and-tell of Jack's 3D printed and painted figurines.
5:33:03 “Oh my God, you yeast infect!” is going to be my new insult.
Fun little factoid about any mob that gives bleed proc over time (aka flies and maggots) - you can equip a torch to instantly ward the effect off.
Ahhhhh cool!

This is so hype, I literally just finished watching your Elden Ring play through TODAY! And at the end of that you were talking about doing these full playthrough videos and then wouldn’t ya know! You posted it today!!
As a metalworker, i can confirm that smoughs hammer would turn a human into toothpaste if it was swung down with force at someone
Took me a few days but i finished the video!! i loved the existentialism discussion and how you can find a connection to your views through such a viscerally beautiful game. Can't wait to watch you play Bloodborne again! your enjoyment of it made it one of my favorite games to watch people play, so thank you!
Great watch. Took a few sittings but worth it! Best part is when Jack explained the plot of how to train your dragon using the nameless king.
Dark Souls 2 was my first fromsoft game and I was super stoked when you said in this video that youd do it eventually, especially after you shared your thoughts on it before. I really hope you can approach it with fresh eyes and find what people appreciate about it, because it is very much a departure from DS1
