    Reed should be banned from playing professional competition golf ANYWHERE and FOREVER!! His relentless, remorseless cheating is disgusting and he should never be permitted to get away with it. Likewise, Vijay Singh and Chella Choi should also receive lifetime bans. Choi was shown the video which proved her cheating and she still denied it?!!!! Lifetime ban, right there!! For a golfer to be able to play golf professionally is a privilege - once that privilege is abused, they should lose that status, permanently.

    Tiger Woods illegal drop at the Masters, signing his scorecard, should have been DQ’d but wasn’t. As for Reeds vid clip here, picking up his ball in the long rough, McIlroy did the exact same thing.

    • @BatMan-oe2gh
      @BatMan-oe2gh 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah, and Tiger copped a penalty for that. The reason he wasn't DQ for the scorecard was because he was not informed of the penalty till the next morning and as such could not have known about it. That vid of Reed in the long rough was when his ball had hit the cart path and then went into the rough, so the ball wouldn't get plugged like he claimed. With McIlroy his ball went straight into the rough from his drive, so that would get plugged.

    Reed always takes the most advantageous position then tries to figure out whether it conforms to the rule. He hit a shot into deep rough and rushed up to it to play it as an embedded lie but on TV you could see it bounce. Not possible for a ball to embed in tall grass after a bounce.

    Someone better clearly define and explain the difference between cheating and breaking the rules. I think much of it has to do with intent, which is very difficult to prove.
    Having said that Tiger once hit his ball in the woods and found it. In his attempt to move a loose impediment the ball settled downward about an eighth of an inch and he immediately stopped his movement of the loose impediment, a twig. He knew the ball moved because it stopped him from moving the twig. He did not call an official over and no other player was near him or saw it. But the zoomed in camera did on replay.
    The fact that his ball moved was a rules violation. The fact that he knew it and did not announce it, take a penalty, or call a rules official over, meant that he cheated. The fact that the rules committee reviewed the video and deemed it not a penalty when clearly it was indicates potential bias toward their superstar who has made the tour billions. Justified?Perhaps. But cheating is cheating regardless of who it is. Do I care? Not really, I’m a golf fan who likes to watch professional golf.
    Who are we to judge the honesty of professional golfers, people we don’t know personally? On the whole the pros are about as honest a group as you’ll find in society, much more so than elected politicians who directly affect our lives.

If you’re going to skirt the rules as they are though why not play with the rest of us who only play for the pleasure of playing the game? At least there’s no cameras and nobody’s going to care if you make a drop in the wrong place or move your ball somewhere it’s not supposed to be.

      so you can have a brown lose leaf like in autumn, which lies on the grass or so, that is a loose impediment. but you can also have a leaf grow from the dirt, many plants in the bush or under trees are like that, adjecent to rough etc. you can remove that brown autumn leaf any time. but you cannot push or pluck that grown leaf down or out. etc.

    "Cheating" or "Breaking the rules"???????? I think one implies actually attempting to get ahead by breaking the rules and one could be considered unwittingly (spellcheck) not following the rules. A lot of times it has to be an agreement of the players on the course because, believe it or not, rules are left to interpretation. Cheater is a strong word.

      Yes, I seen that also. It was actually legal or ok, but it was real close. The ball can rock just a little bit as long as it goes back where it was. And that probably was about the little as allowed. IMO anyway and yes i played golf until my shoulders and back gave out.

    Those were only SOME of Reed’s misdeeds. He’s a punk! But the worst instance of cheating I’ve ever seen was Phil’s intentional moving putt. That was disgraceful, and it was largely dismissed by most golf fans. To me, that one was unforgivable.
