Ok, so I have the artesian with the included lase. I was debating getting the 10w upgrade for it. Why would I want this one instead? This one only engraves and the 10w cuts? I apologize for my novice understanding of laser wavelengths and what the higher wave 2w vs the lower wave 10w addons. Thanks for any clarification!

This loser uses infrared which can engrave metal, even with only 2W (as it seems) which can´t be done with a blue laser even at 40W

Hey, this IR laser module is with 1064nm wavelength. It finely engraves with various plastics and metals materials. It achieves the better engraved quality than blue lasers when you want to engrave some plastics and metals items, because the light spot of the IR laser is pretty smaller than the blue lasers. More modules parameter comparison can be found on our page.

Will this require separate safety glasses different than the 40-watt laser since the wavelength is different? I own both green and orange glasses. 😎

Hi, if you used the laser safety goggles sold on Snapmaker’s official website for the 40W module before, then it can be used for the protection of the 2W module as well. Thanks for your support and understanding!♥

Why do you have to make the view of each item so fast? Don't have time to absorb all the details. I'll be buying one, but thumbs down for this video.
