I love your videos, just started watching them a week ago. I've spent 2 weeks in Ibague & 2 days in Barranquilla. I have one request. When you pan around with the camera, go a little slower so we can take in a little more of what is around ya. Thanks and look forward to more content! 👍
Bro you're next level with these types of videos man! I love the way you do these and show the city/area. Your DR video when you found the cat was definitely my favorite video of yours tbh a banger! These style video are so great you're killing it Andres! Thank you!
Great video, those palms aren't the native Colombian palms the ones at 10:26 are called Washintonian palms native to Mexico, all that food is so good!! Damn bro I can't watch without getting hungry
I've lived in Medellín for going on four years now, but absolutely fell in love with Manizales over a three-night visit during Navidad a few years ago. It's a really special and unique place, and kudos for doing a great job of capturing its essence in this video. Just about ready to accelerate my plans to move down there now.
Another outstanding video. So good to see you always portraying Colombia in such a positive light. Manizales is such an underrated city. Cool temperatures and extremely friendly people. I assume the paramo you mentioned you are about to visit is Paramo Del Ruiz. I've been a few times to Parque Nacional Natural Los Nevados to climb the volcano and all I can say is that it is a place that will completely take your breath away. The views just below the summit of the Cordillera Central almost made me cry, to witness such beauty on this planet is something I will take to my grave. I'm sure you know about the plant 'frailejones' - they grow at a rate of one centimetre per year and a lot of them are over two metres tall and provide most of Colombia's drinking water. I wish you well, Andres. The paramo's of Colombia are my favourite places.
Yeah I would love to hike up to the Ruiz volcano, in the future I will do that. I went up by car on my way to Tolima, it'll be in the next video, you pass lagoons and many frailejones on that road. The beauty of the paramo is definitely unmatched.
Good video, Bro I’m new to the channel. Haven’t been to Colombia 🇨🇴 yet but one day I will What would be your (personal) Top 3 Colombian cities?? And which 3 would you recommend to visit for a new tourist to the country?? Keep up the good work, Man ✊🏽💯💪🏽
Thank you, well it depends what kind of experience you're looking for every city offers something different, each city is very unique and has cool things to do. Personally I'd say Medellín, Cali and either Santa Marta or Cartagena. that way you get to visit different regions and get a more well rounded perspective on Colombia as a whole. Bogotá is the capital and an interesting city but I personally find these other cities more important to visit first.
Nice video Andres! Manizales is a special city. I have lived in Pereira for the past 7 months, you should check it out. It's friendly and safe like Manizales but with less hills.
Yeah I been to Pereira, it feels like a mini Medellin with its weather and how the people are. I didn't have the chance to go this time but I'll def make a video in Pereira at some point
Great video. I don't plan on ever returning to Colombia after experiencing multiple armed robberies after trying to retire there but I still enjoy Colombia related videos.
@@addiyolla3611 The entire country has major issues as it relates to criminality. Likely because there is almost zero rule of law - even when you as a foreigner spend a small fortune to track down the people who have victimized you and give all of the evidence to the police. Don't take my word for it though. Go move there and live there for some years and you will likely end up fleeing like the rest of us. I had a group of 5 other fellas I met with once a month and all 6 of us have since left Colombia.
damn sorry to hear that man, I've been robbed once at knifepoint in Medellin. I'm Colombian tho so I think I blend in and I don't get targeted as easily.
Yeah you should be able to find vegan spots, they are rare though especially in smaller cities or in pueblos. Im sure if you ask at the restaurant they can accommodate, however you will be missing out on all the best Colombian dishes
I live in Pereira a city like Manizales and I know of about ten vegan restaurants and the food is good! I find Colombians are understanding about veganism and dont make a fuss. Lots of beans and peas and you can find tofu in some supermarkets or vegan restaurant. I recomender the Bandeja Paisa Vegana at Las Veganas in Laurelles . The bean soups are amazing but they usually cook with meat so you have to find an adapter version.
Yeah its a small city, its more for people who want a more calm vibe and safer place to live in Colombia, theres a lot of beautiful pueblos and nature nearby as well. I agree though, not much going on in Manizales.

It was so amazing to hear the kumis lady's story! She seems so genuine and I would love to be able to find her when I finally visit Manizales!

Manizales is a cool town, it is always so grey and rainy there though.
Yeah the rain can be a bit inconvenient since its basically everyday. Although the rain is what makes it so green and vibrant.

You would probably like "Chas" or "Lassi". It's an Indian yogurt based drink.
Yeah I've tried lassi, its a nice drink 👌

Would you be able to find vegan food spots that provide a vegan twist on common Colombian food? I want to visit but i dont eat dairy or meat
It definitely exists, not super common but in big cities like Bogota & Medellin you will be able to find it
But man the meat & dairy in Colombia is much better quality, animals are most definitely raised better than in the USA.
Yeah you should be able to find vegan spots, they are rare though especially in smaller cities or in pueblos. Im sure if you ask at the restaurant they can accommodate, however you will be missing out on all the best Colombian dishes

The city is nice. But really not much going on. When the universities are out, it’s dead
