I love watching these videos! One thing I would like to see is if your comparison items could be ones that are from companies that are guaranteed to be non-toxic. For me and a lot of parents one of the main selling points of Lovevery is all their paints/wood finishes are non toxic. With some of the Amazon listings from generic companies there is no guarantee the paints are lead free, and they frequently come from countries notorious for using unsafe materials, and many experts recommend against buying them due to safety concerns. To me its not an accurate comparison. I would love to see how the Lovevery kit stacks up to items that are comparable in their safety measures too! Just a suggestion, otherwise I love these videos!
This was definitely the kit we’ve been the most disappointed in. We had duplicates of several of the items already and my toddler was not interested in the scale at all. I definitely might have skipped this one if we hadn’t pre-paid. On the other hand we still use the glue kit because it’s such a nice presentation
Out of all the kits I’d say this is the probably the one to skip. Maybe they’ll update it with enough feedback. The glue station set up is really nice. My son hasn’t used it yet as he just turned 28 months so slowly introducing items still.
Really surprised they didn't include at least one pair of items to use for the scale! Especially if you consider the price of the kit and the number of items you're getting (the glue box is nice, but other than a parent's time and the basics you showed, not difficult to recreate). I also would've expected a tote or tray for that squeegee and spray bottle, and a little sponge. If we're starting that practical life activity, let's round it out and make the kit more worth it. Assuming there'll be an update to this one shortly 😉 Our kiddos loved window washing-I'm hoping your son is a fan! We used to add just a drop of windex in the water for the 3-6 class so that they actually would see a clean window and see the liquid in the bottle easier!
For the price they should’ve added a couple weights for sure! I’m hoping this box sees an update to make it a bit more unique. That’s a great idea for the windex! My son hasn’t started yet but we have a spray bottle for him to use to help clean his chair after meals and he really enjoys that so I think he’ll like the squeegee. The hard part is finding a window in the house he can easily reach.
@@kevin-lu don't worry about it being an actual window! 😊 We used the patio doors in the class, as well as their care of self mirrors. I'm thinking of also using the front load washer/dryer doors, our electric fireplace glass, some glass door cabinets, and even her functional kitchen "glass" door!
Love your reviews! Every time I am wondering if the box really worths the money, the book is always the tiebreaker. Our daughter really enjoys reading books with real people in them. She also learns a lot from them. It's so hard to find books like those somewhere else.
Love your reviews. We're a few months behind your son so it's nice to see what's coming and if it's worth it. Did you see that they have partnered with Target and sell companion items to the subscription? Would love to see videos on those as well.
I did see the Target items! I would love to make a video on them but they’re already sold out in the Houston area. I’ve read that Texas itself is a sold out at the stores. Hopefully they get back in stock soon so I can get my hands on them.
Indestructibles (the alternative nature book from Amazon) were such a disappointment. Ours creased in the first day of normal play. They aren't as easy for baby to turn the pages, and I am still worried about paper cuts! We'd love to see more about how you manage all these tiny toy parts in the playroom, Kevin. Is having a toy rotation the magic secret of not stepping on random wooden shapes all the time?
That is disappointing to hear about the book. Especially scary that the edges are that sharp for paper cuts. The secret is toy rotation as well as constant reminder to clean up after each activity. In the beginning I would say clean up and put the toy away for him and eventually he started to mimic me when I say clean up.
This kit does not seem to be appropriate for 28 months old .. we have similar peg puzzle from 18 months and my son is really good in solving it .. picnic set can be given any time , same with the spray bottle .. only age appropriate could be the balance scale but I wonder how much my child will he into it .. thanks for the review !
Yeah the peg puzzle seems slightly late but I like the spray bottle and squeegee. It does take a bit of coordination for them to spray with one hand and use the squeegee with the other hand.
I've found that issue with play kits from many subscription boxes (lovevery and Monti kids both, for example, don't align at all in what is introduced when). There's usually at least 1, if not more, activity in the kit that my girl is already on the way to mastering before the age range 🤷♀️ she's no genius either, just a normal toddler
There are actually cheaper shape peg puzzles on Amazon exactly like the Lovevery version. I have seen a couple for around $10. And Crayola makes construction paper with shape cut outs. Also I think Lovevery should have included weights with the scale. So you could recreate this play kit for even less than $83. I chose to skip this one, it’s still a nice kit, just not worth the money to me.
We got one for my daughter for Christmas and it was £8 (10$ maybe?) I was very surprised to see such an easy to find item in the boxes when they pride themselves on being unique
I must have skipped over the exact same one for $10. That would bring down the price even more. I figured someone would make shape cut out paper but thought it’d be cheaper to get regular construction paper and cut. If anything this would be the kit to skip due to the overall value.
It definitely feels a bit lacking on the number of uniques items. Good to know that IKEA had them! Never thought to look there as the IKEA is about 45-50 minutes away from me.
Going to skip this one. We have been doing spray bottles and picnic play for a couple months already and I just don’t think this box is worth the price.
I'm hoping that with the feedback they've received they'll consider it for their next round of changes. (If they have them, but I assume they will as they seem to always be doing research.)

Love your breakdowns of each of these boxes, definitely helps me decide if I want it or not
Glad to help! I find doing the break down also helps me justify that it’s money well spent at least most the time.

Very hard to find books with real images. Seems like the world thinks children only want cartoon drawings, but my son likes the real people.

You could cut out shapes on a Circut or another paper cutting machine to make it faster!
Great idea!
I would need to get one of those machine! They sound very useful.
Excellent 👍👍 I've had that peg puzzle in my Amazon cart since he was born lol
Thanks! It looks like a fun peg puzzle.
more cool tools! they need to make a box for adults! hahaha
Haha i can’t imagine how much they would charge for adults.

@@kevin-lu oh yes .. the co ordination takes little bit time and practice .

Hey, I’ve really enjoyed your videos. Do you have a referral link for the Lovevery kits? Thanks
Unfortunately Lovevery has changed the referral rules and no longer have links to pass out.
I think this is the only box that we are going to skip
You can buy the spray bottle and squeegee from IKEA much cheaper
It definitely feels a bit lacking on the number of uniques items. Good to know that IKEA had them! Never thought to look there as the IKEA is about 45-50 minutes away from me.
@@abdu42069 You can buy them from a dollar store too!
Going to skip this one. We have been doing spray bottles and picnic play for a couple months already and I just don’t think this box is worth the price.
The value of the Lovevery kits has really tanked with the changes they've been making in the company 😕
