@@CorneliusQuiring That's comforting to know! Btw, thanks so much for your videos. I'm learning a lot from you and I hope to make great-fitting pants. See you in the next videos!
The video I didn't know I needed! Was feeling quite defeated today with a "sewing challenge". Took a wee break and was gifted with this delightful share. Thanks muchly Mr. Q!😊
CORNELIUS! Is your mum speaking Plautdietsch? I'm going to have to rewatch this video about 1000 times so i can pick a little of this up. My daughters' great grandparents were Prussian Mennonites and aren't around to speak it, and of course I know NONE of it that I could teach them. Your mum is just SO lovely and sweet and obviously has a heart of gold. Also, your sister may be a traitor, but I absolutely LOVE her big brain humour. What a blessing to have such a lovely, loving family. That speaks volumes about how you became who you are. This video made me so happy.
I very much enjoy your sewing tutorial videos; I've learned a lot about even the handy use of the tools I have (& have ordered through your link to Sewing Parts Online--thanks), but THE most entertaining videos include your Family-- this one is my fave!!! God bless you all!!!!!
Yesss Cornelius. I'm halfway through shortening the sleeves on a biker jacket cos my arms are so frickin' short. Then I'll wax the puppy with Filson wax and hopefully recreate a Ralph Lauren Denim and Supply biker that I'd see on ebay for like £225. The sleeves I'm shortening have a zip in 'em too so it's not exactly te alteration to start with but that's how i roll. Deepend baby!
That's awesome! Those sound like some fun projects. Happy to hear you're jumping right in. I too am a fan of the deep end :) Thanks for sharing and thanks for watching.

... this is a bit strange. But what language are you speaking? Some sound almost like a german accent. I am Austrian and some of these words are definitely german in root, or straight up german. "nähen" means "sewing", for example. "Garten", in austrian dialect we'd write your specific pronunciation as "Gårten"
Indeed it is a Dutch & German dialect called Plautdietsch, specifically the variety spoken by Mennonites. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plautdietsch_language Thanks for sharing a bit about yourself as well.
@@CorneliusQuiring cool, something totaly new for me .. being european still so many things to discover . I am just interest if you speak clean english and your mama plautdietsch , which country you are now? just out of interest. Thanks
That was such fun! I loved seeing your Mom ~ what a sweetheart!
Isn't she just wonderful?!
Your mom is simply the loveliest lady. You have a lovely relationship with her and all you family. Congratulations. 😍😍😍
Isn't she just the best?! I am very lucky to have her and the family in my life. Thanks for watching!
@@CorneliusQuiring She certainly IS. 💗💗💗
I LOVE this! It's obvious why you seem like such a good hearted person. What a wonderful family.
Indeed, I am blessed with a wonderful family.
You have a lovely family, Corn. I simply love every second of it. I am glad you did not edit these out.
Thank you, I am lucky indeed.
I always thought my maternal family is weird when it came to being barefoot when operating the machine. Good to know it's not only in my family. 😂
Wait, people wear shoes and things while sewing?! Now that's weird! I too sew barefoot. Remember, "they" are always the weird ones, not us :)

Thank you as well and see you soon too in the next video. 👋🏻
For some people, the "feel" is eesential. I used to know a drummer who always played barefoot, even in the winter.
Ive just recently found your channel and I'm hooked.
So much love in your family :)
Thank you and thanks for watching. All the best to you too.
Thank you Corny! My laugh for the day.
I'm glad to hear it.

I'm glad it could provide a much-needed laugh. Thanks for watching and I hope you figured out the challenge.
I don't see the link to download the pattern for those couture shorts. And what type of fabric did you use. I assume that was a floral Kashmir.
I can't just be giving such gold away :) As for the fabric, yes, Kashmir and hand woven at that!

What language are you speaking with your mother? It resembles me of german, but only in parts.
It is low German. OrIginated in the low lands of Germany.
What Anne said. It's also called Plautdietsche. Thanks for watching, both of you.
