Well said. F2P is how almost everyone starts their journey. They also ruined F2P multi PK, hills, chaos altar, and varrock ditch are dead now. So many other bad PvP updates / content and new account restrictions for trade / friends chat.
There's no way you end your day of osrs without a headache in calls like this, holy.

After quitting for 12 years, I started to play the game again in 2019 on mobile when my roommate asked me "Hey man, ever heard of runescape?" when the pandemic hit, I found myself with a lot of free time and needed something to occupy it, so I began exploring some nostalgic bits of F2P, and built a low level pure for the heck of it. I loved PVP back in the golden years of runescape, it wasn't just for pures or no lifers, it was fun for everyone, so that's what I gravitated towards most when I started playing again. I somehow got recruited to join a clan and immediately got caught up in some insane F2P clan wars unlike anything I had experienced before, just like the last few videos you've posted, and I was doing it all on a laptop with a trackpad. it's incredible that the PVP community is still going so strong after all this time, fighting in the same gear we used 20 years ago. thank you for highlighting this niche of the game, if it wasn't for this community I may have never picked up the game again at all

Talk about nostalgia.I was part of this group back in rs3 before the evolution of combat destroyed it not quite this size but we held runite ores in deep wilderness and killed anyone who was mining or pking there everyone had 3 different accounts one pure low lvl for the lvl 3 miners that were mostly safe at the time a mid lvl 60s 70s cb and a main all geared and out at what we called cat hill or ch for call out using Waka to get out is a rly good method some of us even grinded mininng lvl to farm ores while we waited lol I made a few alts after osrs came out and went back out to do a bit of mischief solo it's not quite as active but it's good to see people not letting the f2p pking seen die some people can't rly do members pking especially mobile love to see this
I had to put my eop application on hold due to having no time to dedicate to osrs because of adult responsability. It saddens me to not be able to participate in those events, the feeling of winning a f2p pkri or of being instrumental in macing a +1 is fucking amazing and the gaming is heavily nostalgic. The first war in the video was extremely fun to partake in and I recommend anyone with the chops and free time to join EOP.

didnt know eruption of pures was still around. they were the first pure clan i joined back in like 2007. completely changed my RS life after that haha
i hate watching osrs content and youtubers say the wilderness is dead, yet the only 10 times i've ever been to the wild since i made my account in 2020, there ALWAYS people out there waiting for me or ready to attack. it's never been dead for me even in f2p
F2p ironman all f2p quest was the best part of my ironman journey. At base 80s now I still chase the high of f2p

I have like 10years experience in F2p clanwars, were in some best f2p clans, had many best tanker awards from diferent clans, best memories from this game. Also you should always play with sounds so you hear when ur getting piled, most of the time it's best to tank with anti magic and full rune and you can combine pizza slices into full ones so you don't get ko'ed. There used to be 2-3 wars per week, some of them took 10h+
@DitterBitter Could you start a mini series against other content creators to be clan leaders and reignite F2p / p2p clanning? Maybe a clan ranking system we used to have in Zybez? Or even America vs EU vs Rest of the world world wars that we used to do?
Even a 'summer' clan series similar to the gielinor games - get 10 clans to sign up for exposure.
A list of challenges,
Different rule sets fights, such as pure / main load outs. Level 3s only / particular load outs.
Or each clan puts forward their best PVM teams to have competitive PvE challenges.
Fun challenges as a clan relay race, each person gets a mini challenge to complete before the other person starts.
Anything at all to bring back the clan scene.

Been in F2P clans since 2005. Tbh f2p clan world is pretty dead. Only like 5 clans left.
All the youtubers should get 100 viewers and do a tournament would be sick to watch
F2P Varrock Multi is what real PKing was all about. Meet and team up with random people or friends, have fun, don’t worry about risk, stats, gear or tick-perfect clicks, and still get decent loot over time. Now it’s just people camping GE or Lumbridge in PvP worlds 24/7 fighting 1V1, and only Edgeville and Ferox singles is left for F2P wilderness PKing.
It’s lame that Jagex restricted F2P accounts from the beginning. Even in February 2015 upon permanent free to play’s release, F2P accounts couldn’t trade for 24 in game hours and all stackable items PKed in the wilderness were reduced to 1 of each. For example if the guy you PKed had 100 Chaos Rune, but hadn’t played 24 in game hours, you would only get 1 Chaos Rune as the PKer (even if you as the PKer played 24+ in-game hours)
Later on, Jagex made all these restrictions for new accounts;
May 2018; 150 total to enter friends chat
April 2020; 100 total / 10 QP / 20 in game hours for unrestricted trade.
They were supposed to stop bots, but all they did was hurt real players whenever they make a new account and kill low level F2P PKing, which then affected med-high level wilderness PKing, too. And they don’t even stop the bots; evidenced by the large number of bots with high boss KC and lots of post-99 XP like in the case of Hunter bots.
And even with those restrictions, F2P multi was still active up until late 2019. But eventually it was just too much, along with other PvP content spreading PKers thin (LMS, Ferox enclave, PVP worlds, Bounty Hunter). We had a good thing and Jagex ruined it.
