I got a pair as a gift. The sound quality is fantastic and the sound is very "natural." I love them.

I decided on these over the Bose Quiet Comfort and I'm happy I did. The sound is phenomenal for this price range. The only issue (two issues actually) is they disconnect if you don't play music through them or some sound. They disconnect after less than a minute and there is no way to change this (no options to control this "battery saving program"). Also, the wear sensor is useless. If you enable it, it will cut off without you moving to the point that you realize that they need to develop this so it actually works. Disable this option and keep playing music through them and they are wonderful. Hopefully, B&W will have a future software update that might fix these two issues.

Just purchased the PX - already had the P5. Sound is awesome; better then my Bose with noise cancelling. I am still trying to figure out why not staying connected to bluetooth when in a good wifi environment.

I have them and i love them . The sound is like i never heard before and the best is that i can use them wired whit my fioo e12 and they are a beast .

I'm trying several pairs. These are the most natural sounding with a noticeable bass emphasis but it's not distracting. I would turn off the auto pause. I wish they were foldable, a bit lighter, and not so stiff, but they do surround the ears nicely. Unfortunately I do not have the time to break them in and I just don't love them.

    • @joelk3329
      @joelk3329 5 ปีที่แล้ว

Also, the ear cups don't swivel, these smell funny, and as mentioned, they need to be switched on even for wired use. Too many negatives.

  • @matrenitski

How are they folded? Aren't they too bulky to carry them in a bag?

How do these compare in sound to the Bose QC35ii? I'm sure the build of the B&W is higher quality but is sound better?

Hi Bertram Inc. I like the sound on the PX better, but the QC35II, I felt, were more comfortable. Thanks for watching! -Carl

Sound quality on the B&W are superior to Bose, they go twice as loud as the Bose and the soundscape is better imo. If you like listening to acoustic guitar as well the B&W will blow you away. The B&W P7 wireless are also great but don’t have the ANC but passively block out most noise anyway because they have a great seal round the ear, as do the PX.

The best build quality you get from the Danish premium brand B&O. They have created and crafted design audio for almost a century. I've just got their flagshiip, the wireless H9 and im flabbergasted. The build quality, the expression and none the less the sound is flawless. Dont get me wrong, B6W makes some outstandig speakers but in the headphone category Bang and Olufsen are way ahead with their designs. Its luxurious in a whole another level.

MrBaseren B&O are more plastic though? B&W build quality is fantastic, and the sound I’ve experienced from B&W headphones (P7 wireless) is superb, I like B&O but think they look and feel more flimsy than B&W

Hi Daniel. It's hard to say what someone would like better. I, myself, prefer the PX from B&W. They sound great and fit me better, which I think also factors into the decision. You can listen to the best sounding headphones in the world, but if they aren't comfortable you're less likely to enjoy them. I hope this helps. Thanks for watching! -Carl

H7's mate, sound so much better, if in the market for b&w, I would get p7's for sound quality. I'm a massive b&o fan though, so h7's or 9's for me 👌🖒

    amazing review, like always!!!
I have heard some people say that these give you hearing fatigue... can you please comment if you have experienced something like this? Also can you comment on how the ANC behaves while walking? For example bose qc35 create some sort of a thud/thump sound if you are walking heavily... Please can you comment if these create this ANC anomaly while walking heavily? Thanks!!!

Hi r3load. Thanks for the kind words! We appreciate it. While I was testing these out I didn't experience any sort of hearing fatigue. I had them on for a couple hours at a time and it was fine. It took a little while for the ear cups to break in, but once they softened up a little they were pretty comfortable. I didn't notice any thud or thumping noises while walking around either, but it will depend on your environment. They have microphones on the outside that pick up the ambient noise to cancel and depending on where you are you may get different results. I hope this helps and thanks for watching! -Carl

Hi, I have one more question if you dont mind, I hear a lot of people say that the sound quality is nowhere near as good when the ANC is on the strongest setting, please can you let me know if that is true and the difference is really noticeable? Thanks

    • @abtelectronics
      @abtelectronics  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

The difference is noticeable, but I wouldn't say the sound quality is bad by any means. Just different. If you're in the Chicagoland area make sure to stop by our store and try them out. We have these and several other headphones on display to test out. -Carl

Hi Hanzat. We appreciate the feedback! Even though you don't need the noise cancelling, I'd still go with the PX. They use updated bluetooth codecs like aptX HD which will help with wireless audio. The PX also has better battery life. I hope this helps! Make sure you check them out at Abt. We've got free shipping to the contiguous US and we don't collect sales tax if we're shipping outside of Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and Wisconsin. www.abt.com/resources/pages/search.php?keywords=px%20headphones&PXHeadphones_201701011 Thanks for watching! -Carl

I bought these headphones and the P7 model. I must say that the P7 sound so much better. This PX headphones have a flat, grinding like sound, while the P7 have a clear sound, with good balanced bass. I purchased the Bang & Olufsen H8 two weeks ago, and I was blown away by the noise canceling feature, but especially by the sound. They have amazing, fast bass, and clear highs,. Plus, the B&O Play App allows you to customized the sound (equalizer like) and the noise canceling feature. I was so please with the Bang and Olufsen that I ended up returning both, the Bowers and Wilkins PX nad P7

The B&W.'s have a more classy, clear and crisp sound giving a more natural sound and what the producers and artists want you to hear while the Sony's give a more modern more bass feel.

      @abtelectronics  7 ปีที่แล้ว

Hi CitzenKane2000. Unfortunately we don't have the Momentum 2 at the store to hear so I haven't been able to compare the two. I will say the PX is one of, if not the, best sounding noise cancelling headphones I've heard. And the noise cancelling capability is on par with the best as well. Thanks for watching! -Carl

The Sennheiser DAC and Amp do a pretty good job over wireless but you may need to research codec options for the device you're connecting to. Over the wire the Senns are really as good as it gets.

    Hello,
Would this work if I connect the usb c to my iPhone 7 lighting port? So that I don’t lose any sound quality from Bluetooth?
On the website it says that the usb c can be used to listen to music while connected to a laptop but it doesn’t mention anything about a cellphone (Bluetooth has to be turned off on the headphones for this to work)

If you really need a NC headphone, get a QC. If you want a great sounding wireless headphone, get a Focal Listen Wireless. If you really want to feel something tad bit lacking in both NC and comfort, then get a PX.

    • @jdstarek
      @jdstarek 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

So, basically, these are the 'best of all worlds." I just bought the Senn PXC550, B&O H9 and B&W PX. hands down, the Bowers sound the best. Tonality was similar with Senn and Bowers, but the imaging and stage was better on the Bowers. Also, NC on both was about the same (slight edge to Senn). I do think the Senns are a bit more comfy, but the Bowers are fine, I just doubt I'll forget I'm wearing them like the 550. These are for the office, and I have to say that the Bowers look amazing...they totally win in that department. The H9 were actually a real let down. They look really good, but NC and sound were both sub-par. So in a way I agree, if you want comfort and NC, go with the QC. If you want great sound, great looks and some NC, I'd go with the Bowers. Everything else I tried was just somewhere on the spectrum between these two. I haven't tried the Focal. I'll give them a shot.

    • @Toki1908

Thanks for the feedback. I went with Focal Listen wireless, but maybe later if I want the NC phones, I might get the PX later.

Hi Brian. I was extremely happy with the quality of the calls I placed and received with these. We tried using them in different environments to test how well they worked and they did not disappoint. You also have to take into account the cell reception. Ours was good everywhere we went, which obviously helps with the calling experience as well. Thanks for watching! -Carl

I have both headphones, the Sony 1000mx3 and the B&W PX.
    SOUND:
However, I intend to say that B&W has a
more intense bass, and Sony has a more BOOOMMM bass! Did I make myself understand?
After listening a techno music at high volume,
the results in my head were different:
With the Sony 1000mx3 I kept my head vibrating.
With the B&W PX I got my head to echo inside!
The B&W PX bass comes in inside the head,
and the Sony 1000mx3 vibrates the outside of the head.
    Different results for different tastes.
I prefer the Bass of the B&W PX, more real and penetrating, like a punch in the head.
Sony sounds a little artificial (comparing with the B&W PX)
In addition, the B&W PX volume is higher.
When it reaches the volume limit on the Sony 1000mx3, the B&W still has another 20% to add.
Without a doubt, the sound of the B&W PX is superior, more defined and more elegant.
I say this without any tendency, because I bought both.
    Do not forget the following:
B&W is a company dedicated exclusively to sound, equipping high-end cars like Ferrari, BMW's etc.
Sony produces a wide variety of things, from mobile phones to microwaves. B&W is a lady of sound
quality, because she dedicates himself exclusively to this.
    COMFORT:
With regard to comfort, the Sony 1000mx3 are more comfortable, nor giving almost by the presence of them in the head. 👍👍👍
However, while the B&W PXs are less comfortable, the ears stay free inside the earpiece, being cooler and not causing perspiration.
The Sony 1000mx3 ears do not have space inside the headphones, and make them perspire on hotter days.
Unsustainable in summer days, much less to walk down the street on sunny days. 👎
The quality of construction is top notch in the B&W PX. All in aluminum, and genuine leather. It costs € 400 in Europe but
pays for the elegance and quality of construction. 👍
The Sony 1000mx3 is all in plastic and synthetic skin. In Europe costs € 380, but it seems that we are buying plastic.👎
However the Sony are lighter and therefore more comfortable. 👍
    NOISE CANCELLATION:
The Sony 1000mx3 has a perfect noise cancellation, it looks like you put your head inside a vacuum chamber. Perfect!
    👍👍👍
The B&W PX though reasonable in noise cancellation, but are far from the Sony 1000mx3.
    Android/ Apple APPLICATION:
With respect to the Android application to control the headphones, the Sony is perfect, as well as the indicator sounds in your own language.
The B&W PX are just beeps. 👎👎👎
The B&W PX application only serves to control the level of noise reduction (which is best to keep it OFF), and to control the system to pause the music when you remove the B&W PX from your ears (which works at 80%). The app for B&W PX is terribly basic 👎👎👎
    CONCLUSION?
Comparing these headphones to a women, I would say:
That the Sony are that kind of woman, very
devoted to home and children, but a little less beautiful and more chubby.
The B&W PX is that a elegant woman, very pretty, but untidy woman at home.
So, if you prefer the ugly and dedicated woman at home, you will always look at the beautiful woman.
If you prefer the elegant and beautiful woman, you go and wash your dishes at home. You choose. 😁😁😎
    I prefer the B&W PX,
although I know it does not have all those features that would do it great.
I'm more of a fan of B&W PX's aesthetic and sound elegance.
If you choose B&W PX you will make a good choice, but sacrificing some aspects of the Sony 1000mx3 that would make music even more enjoyable.
If you buy Sony, you're just one more who bought a headset for €350.
If you buy B & W, whoever watches you knows that you like not just music but sound quality.
Some of the "business" websites that do the comparatives, seem to give 100% preference to Sony, but gave me the impression of sponsorship by Sony.
    😀😀😀
Because everyone knows Sony, and a lot of people have never heard of Bowers & Wilkins, only sound connoisseurs know it.
Thus, Sony is more mediated, and ends up having a control of public opinion, and obviously creates a subconscious tendency by Sony, even some of youtubers who make these comparatives
    .
If you are young, and like techno, buy a Sony.
But if you are over 40 years old, and want to make up for the lack of youth with charm, buy B&W PX 😎👍 .
    .
