Thanks for making this video. IMO, this is mostly a tutorial for using IDE. Although you do show the Command+K capability, people who would like to use Cursor for actually building an app, would need an explanation for the objective of each step, not just instructions for how to execute each step, so they can apply it on their project, even if its different. I've been using Claude to code for the last year and I'm honestly not sure how to use cursor for my own projects. Is anyone familiar with another video for cursor beginners, which includes an overview of the Cursor features, capabilities, use cases, application of different frameworks, etc? Thanks!
I asked cursor, Claude Sonnet AI to build me many-to-many relationship for my app and it did create it. I learned from it and created my own based from the code given to me. I even let cursor-small explain it so I can understand it. I have to switch AI models as cursor-small and gpt-40-mini doesn't deduct to fast requests.
Awesome video Corbin I'm loving the video on Cursor! Oh and thanks so much for making the screen bigger for us blind folks. I had to laugh when you did that
Bro this is AMAZING. I was looking to get a bit more into coding in the context of AI. I was wondering for a week what was this window every dev has where we can see everything updated live. Amazing you unblocked me on a lot of aspects already. Wish you could do more videos of these!

Awesome!! Thanks I got it going! Can you do one even more basic, how to start a project without using the tutor project, what files are needed, folders, etc. I got a little stuck trying to start one without using the tutorial. Finally, what files am I transferring to my webserver so I can access my program from anywhere on the web? Thanks!
Thanks for the feedback! Here is a video similar to what you described: th-cam.com/video/pjMooEnzEQs/w-d-xo.html From the feedback I have gotten to this point, I will look toward making a video that makes everything as simple as possible and shows every step!
Heey, nice video Corbin 👏👏Could you share more videos like this one ? Maybe creating a landing page or some simple software from scratch? I'm using it on my personals projects and it so fast that I'm stuck in the middle because the ideas that I have :D
I like this style of quick, straightforward videos: no fluff or annoying music. Nicely paced. I am transitioning from Sublime(I like a lot) and VSS. I have high hopes for Cursor (I wish they named it something else; it is so hard to search on this). Current issues that are plaguing me are that all my Python scripts broke, and for some reason, Cursor does not locate any of the modules that I use in my codes. Any suggestions on how I can get Cursor to notice the modules, and is there a way that you can use pip from Cursor terminal?
Beginner here. Completely lost after the first minute. Would it be more accurate to say these apps are for early level coders rather than complete beginners?
Could you help clarify why I would choose to use Cursor AI over Claude AI? Cursor AI actually incorporates Claude 3.5, which is the same AI model available on their website. It even features a window for running basic code. Given these similarities, what makes Cursor AI particularly interesting or advantageous?
When you ask Claude if it can generate code, it responds: "I appreciate your interest in using AI to assist with code generation. However, as an AI language model, I don't actually generate or compile code myself. I can provide guidance and explain concepts, but I can't directly create a fully functional application for you."
Claude is the name of an LLM. Cursor is an IDE/text editor. Cursor leverages claude and/or gpt. The idea is to take those LLMs and merge them with an IDE for rapid development instead of going to claude or gpt directly. Cursor also has the ability to analyze you entire codebase for a project...This is basically leveraging the power of the LLMs and providing tools to use them in the most efficient way possible.
I need some help here. I ran npm install and received hundreds of vulnerability errors, this is after freshly installing node.js. I don't have a clue how to fix this
So this is a separate editor, right? It is not a plugin like GH Copilot, so in order to use this, we need to use the editor itself, and we cannot use JetBrains or Visual Studio?
Copilot cant analyze an entire codebase. Also, the LLMs gpt and claude) are fully integrated. Using a plugin limits both performance and available features.

I have no coding experience and was able to create a project management app. He's just not aware of how far to "dumb it down". There are other avenues to learn, as well. Trust me. You can do it.
