impressive speed! looks like you need a seat on the platform for the atlantic tack. I think if you had more stays on the bowsprit you could get more tension in the jib luff. I like the boomed jib! what is the boat length and sail area?

      Thanks!
I have had old trampoline waiting to be platform for 3 years now but that is waiting for version 3.0, current version is kinda 2.5 :) I plan to build a new bigger hull with 50% foam filled closed volume. Current big hull is also a canoe for river trips and I want to keep it that way. In this video I have old sails that I literally made out of old tents (soviet canvas tarp). Last year I bought set of old nordic folkboat sails, I cut bottoms off as those were too tall and adapted to my existing mast. As my proa has been work in progress it has design issues which have solutions I plan to use in version 3.0. I think I have main desing issues sorted and v3.0 will be kinda ready design. I live 200km from sea and closest sailable lake has slip in bay which needs motor to get in/out (long thin bay and depends on wind if you have to tack in or out of it, also there is forest around and that messes up wind quality and it is easy to get stuck far from slip to get out again) - so I use another beach to launch and return and all that has sets its own design limits.
Version 2.5: big hull legth 4.7-ish meters (made out of 2.5*1.25 plywood sheets so the rubrail is 5 meters), literal beam length 3.0 meters. Mast lenght 5.1 meters. I actually do not know sail area at the moment, but enough to tip me over :)
