    I love the reviews, I have combination skins and prone to acne, am wondering if u could do a review that u talk more about the silky creamy textured sunscreen sticks like how do they feel on the skin, is it oily looking or sticky?does it go really white on the skin?

      Thank you for your kind words 😊.
      I have dry to acne prone skin so it can be a little hard for me to say... but I think combo + acne prone skin in combo with silky creamy textured sunscreen ... can be really nice. I think the waxy could get greasy but again cannot say 100% for sure but looking at the consistencies.
      I think silky texture ones would be good fit and maybe because you have acne prone skin.. opt for an airy sunscreen (ex Laneige.... but actually they mostly all are very light in my opinion on your face lol) or the one from Missha which has centella asiatica which is soothing and calming on the skin to minimize breakouts.
      I think it won't be oily/sticky on your face .. maybe a little oily if it is on the oily part of your face like maybe t-zone but in general I do think the silky textured ones all are very light sunscreens.
      All of them did not leave a whitecast on my skintone . Hope this helps you a little more in your choice making ❤️

    • @xoxo.isabel
      @xoxo.isabel  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      * it can maybe get a litttttle bit white but that sinks in after 30 seconds or so and then the white cast is gone..
      I tried some of the sticks on my partners face who is a few shades darker (comparable to ##31) and he had a subtle whitecast but like very little and it was gone after 30 seconds or so :)

      My sticks, each on would last me up to minimal 2,5 -3 months when i reapply once a day and 1 time morning (so 2 in total a day).
      Do check how much is inside, most have around 20/18 grams but some also have like 12/15 gram which is significantly lower 😄

      I like it but the consistency is a little more thicker and the smell is light but not my fav smell but goes away after few minutes. Would prefer this one for color months as its more a sort of occlusive layer on your face (waxy consistency) instrad of the “creamy silky” ones that are better suited for summer 😊

    • @xoxo.isabel
      @xoxo.isabel  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi! So I just checked about all the sunscreens if they are mineral or chemical. Unfortunately they all are chemical because then you don't tend to have a white cast as quick. There are 2 sunscreen sticks that I found that DO contain a combination of chemical + mineral filter which are the Hanyul + Su:m37 sun stick but both sticks are predominantly formulated with chemical filters, titation dioxide is pretty low in the ingredient list. Both these two sunscreens are also in higher price point. Personally I like the Su:m37 stick for how it feels, so silky but the ingredient list of that stick is the biggest I have ever seen. Honestly I think both are not a great match for sensitive skin because the Hanyul also contains fragrance (and Su:m37 because of the superlong ingredient list). I will look into more mineral sunscreens but I think for now a bit on hold because I have 10000 sunscreens I have to finish lol. Good luck and if you find a good mineral one, let me know :).

    Why does the creamy consistency sunscreen sticks leave my face with white tiny balls/pilling on my skin?? my lotion sunscreen is also doing that and I'm oily combo skin?? should i just use the waxy sunscreens?? is it okay if i break some rules??

    • @xoxo.isabel
      @xoxo.isabel  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You can def break some rules if that works for you hehe. If you wanna try waxy I suggest the Abib one.. I love it.
      But, I also did have the same issue you had when I used a certain more heavy moisturizer... Now I mostly use light moisturizers so that could be one reason... Another thing that also helps but if you have the time.. is not to apply sunscreen stick right away... but wait for like 5 minutes for your skin to absorb all the previous products and then apply the sunscreen stick.. that also helped in my case when I was using the more heavy moisturizer before.
      I hope this helps!

  • @camdelg1
    @camdelg1 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Hey, so I wanted to try the Rire Silky and Light Sun Stick. I was wondering if it is easy to apply? I read somewhere that it doesn't glide and also it is a better option for an combination acne prone skin than the Scinic or the Isntree sticks ^^

    • @xoxo.isabel
      @xoxo.isabel  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have no experience with Isntree sticks but I do really like the brand and their formulations. I personally have no issues with the Rire Silky Sun Stick, I really like how silky it is and in that case how it also glides very easy over my face but I think maybe if you have extremely dry skin it can be a little hard? Although honestly most sunscreen sticks that I used (actually all lol) glide really easy over my face. Hope this helps you a bit :)

    • @camdelg1

      @@camdelg1 Abib's my fav. I myself have combo acne prone skin sometimes also little sensitive but Abib (just like Isntree) are skincare brands that I value as in I believe they forumulate their products well to minimalize break outs but ofc the only way to truely know is to try. I do know that Abib now has 2 sunscreen sticks.. one is creamy consistency and one is waxy (I have waxy). I do feel that the creamy (I also refer to creamy as silky) consistensies could be better for acne prone skin because with the waxy ones I feel my skin cannot 'breath' as much als silky ones, hope this helps :)

    • @xoxo.isabel
      @xoxo.isabel  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sorry for the reply! Once is enough. I made a video called sunscreen over makeup where I went to a skin doctor and got an UV photo. In there I on purpose used the sun stick like I always do which is one time over each area face and then with 1-2 fingers sort of make sure every corner of my face is covered. The result from sunstick photo was very good.
      I want to go back in future for UV photo again but then with lotion and see if the coverage is also as good as sunstick. RIght now I use sun sticks in summer and sunny days bc I feel it protects more solid than lotion. Maybe like 10-20% better but a big big difference I feel. In winters I use lotions ^^. Then again, need to have it checked to be 100% sure. Will update once I have done that.

    • @xoxo.isabel
      @xoxo.isabel  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      No it doesn't, it's a chemical sunscreen so less prone to leaving whitecast. If it would have ingredients like titanium dioxide / zinc dioxide (aka mineral sunscreen) then chances of whitecast are bigger :), hope this helps in making your choice !
