I live in New Zealand and I'm Part Maori. I appreciate him covering some of my culture. not many people outside of NZ know about Maori. there are no full blooded Maori left because the British came here we had wars. we even fought each other when we traded material and tools for guns.

how gyms usually turn out for me:
Pokemon Go: "Oh. trying to take on a gym are we? I'll help. Even though there's 3 vaporeons and a rhydon, I'll just set half your team to fire types alright?
    - "Seems like we have a bit of lag here. I'll just remove some of your pokemon's health and give back a bit of the opponents to fix this."
    - "Sorry, looks like I made your pokemon attack and lose a bunch of its health instead of dodging since you swiped a bunch of times. my bad, but don't worry. it's only about 60% of its health gone."
    - "Whoops. looks like your pokemon died at half health even though you clearly dodged. I'll just bring out one of your other pokemon. Wait but you dodged that. my bad. Your other pokemon lost some health, but I'll give your previous pokemon it's health back and swap back to it. Wait, but didn't it die even though you dodged? Ah screw it. I'll just get rid of the model, make your pokemon unable to dodge or swap out and just watch the health and time drain. that'll fix it.
    - "You got some pokemon down! Good for you! Now if you don't mind I'm just going to kick you from the gym and just say "Error" without giving a proper reason, and half your progress won't be recorded. Sound good? I'll presume you said yes."
    - "Ah. trying to fight the same gym again even though I just took you out? Thats fine. I'll just kick you back out everytime the battle starts. Should be fine."
I have to deal with one of these LITERALLY EVERY SINGLE TIME! Not exaggerating when I say "literally".

Hey Nick! About halfway through this video and I just watched the part about your lighting issues. You can easily customize your lighting with tin foil, wax paper and tape. Block unwanted lights with tin foil, diffuse too bright lights with wax paper and secure it all with tape. An easy solution that takes minutes to set up and seconds to tear down. Not sure if you will read this but would like to help.

Loved the drone shots of the steamy pools! If you can get to South Island try to go to Milford Sound. The fjords are gorgeous!

What's the song that's playing during the drone shots (starting around 10:28)? It's not in the description as far as I can tell.

Where's your next stop, lake tekapo, or bay of Islands, kaititi. New Zealand is amazing I did all you have done 2 years ago on my gap year. It makes me miss it so much. You should definitely go to Queenstown.

Hey Nick, just an idea that might help your lighting situation. You can strap a flashlight or head flashlight to a gallon jug filled with water. Hope that's helpful. Best of luck!

N3rdy Life actually there is nothing that will kill you in the bushes or forests of New Zealand. We have no snakes either. It's Australia that you have to worry about.

In Australia the beaches can have hidden stingrays resting in the sand of the water which it is very common for non locals to step on them (heard this from my aussie gf)

on top of that we have only one poisonous spider that is super rare, tbh I was cracking up at him walking through the "jungle" lol. I have to walk through a bush track like that in my back yard just to get to my mandarin tree
