I disagree because you're wrong. Bottom row of daily offers on the specific minis, it includes a star of the guy too. I think its 4750 experience and a star for 190 gold at my collection level. That means a little less than 2k gold for 20 stars and almost 100k experience.So 6k gold to basically max a mini for me. Good deal imo.
Nope, that is still the bad option to spend gold. In this game you NEVER spend gold on xp unless you fully maxed on collection level. You need 39 stars for a minis to be able to upgrade to epic and 100k experience is like nothing.
