@@pixelmine2 The construction pace doesnt have anything to do w the park. It has to do w the manufactures and whomever the manufacture contracts to assemble the ride.
Location and scenery are very underrated elements of coaster design imo. If this exact same layout was a parking lot coaster somewhere, it would be mediocre at best, but put it on the side of a mountain and it becomes an unforgettable experience.
They're in Europe right now, this was probably one of their friends. They most recently did this with Ride to Happiness when Yannich rode right after it opened.
I was thinking the same, though to be fair it appears to be about 18 seconds of "prime ride time" (from the beginning of the first drop to the brake run)
Oh my goodness that ride is so insane I was like what the heck . I don't know about that ride looks scary . But awesome video you guys have fun and stay safe.
So I thought that Gerstlauer had updated trains for their coasters, like you see on Hydrus at Casino Pier and Tantrum at SF Darien Lake. Why would they go back to their old style trains?
Kind of upsetting with how rough this ride is. I’ve already seen a few people talk about the head banging, and I assumed since it’s new that it would be smooth. I was planning on going this July, but I don’t know if it’s worth it anymore.
I don't have an issue if a coaster is shorter. Doesn't always make it worse and usually the pacing makes up for it. Look at Iron Gwazi. Iron Gwazi > SV despite shorter track length. What's the usual question, "Does size really matter?"....Well most the time no only when it comes to Roller Coasters😂
I bet this coaster cost twice what it would have in a normal park. Just to get it up that mountain. Wonder if they had to make track or supports shorter than normal to compensate for hauling it up the mountain... Looks great though. Could have used a left turning, downward helix after that roll but... whatever. Like I said, dang thing was probably double cost it normally would be. Looks like it has some crazy positives in those valleys though. Typical Gerstlauer vibration in the valleys too.
how are the lines for this coaster? when i went to glenwood many years ago the lines were nonexistant on most of the other ride attractions so I'm curious! I'm going up again this fall since i live nearby and I'd love to know in advance :)
@@coastercloudy nope. Same thing you'll find on mystery mine, SpongeBob SquarePants rock bottom plunge, saw the ride, flucht von novgorod, takabisha, TMNT shellraiser and many others
Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't this the Gerstlauer infinity that was originally rumored to be headed to Cedar Point for 2022?? I'm not positive but what I do know is THANK GOD it didn't come here...this ride style is way overrated imo, it looks VERY mediocre, and because it's built on top of a mountain in Colorado i should be impressed??? NAH......maybe since I'm a city boy I don't get the appeal but no thanks 🙏🏽😂
The coaster was never supposed to come to Cedar Point, there were only rumors (that were debunked) that CP might get a Gerstlauer. This is an original creation for Glenwood Caverns.
What is this comment even (@ Huddy R)? Also as said, if anything that was a rumor and infinity coasters look more like HangTime at Knott's Berry Farm, not what got built here at Glenwood Caverns. This comment is complete, uninformed guesswork made to sound like it's legit. Thanks for the laughter, though.

I'm Glad Glenwood understands that if you are going to have something this short, make it special and that setting is out of this world.
And they also constructed this quickly and opened it quickly. Unlike...six flags
Totally agree

If this layout was somewhere else the tunnels would be so fun!!
The Stratosphere in Las Vegas is applauding your comment
Rode it 19 times on opening day! It's great
It’s cool to see coaster studios has people recording povs all around the world
Imagine a tilt coaster here!
That view right out of the station… 😨
This is easily the best location I’ve ever seen for a roller coaster in the US…I’d even argue it’s one of the best locations in the world
ITS AN ACTUAL DEFIANCE POV! I am so happy you got to ride this 😭

Best POV I’ve seen so far. Really captures the unbelievable view!
Defiance is like the best name for a rollercoaster
That view is amazing. seems so much taller then a 70ft drop being on the side of a mountain
That's because it is! Despite the ride being 70ft tall, that drop is actually 110ft, because of how the track is intergraded with the terrain :)
Short but definitely looks sweet !
I love roller coasters and felt like I did that drop while watching!
Thanks! Now I have a crease in my seat!
"That does not let up for a second." Because it's only 2 seconds long? :) Great setting - looks beautiful!

Absolutely insane location

That setting 🤩
that view is insane!
Always seemed kinda short, but the pacing looks amazing.
i love how the ride is like 10 seconds
Gotta like it tho light
Tbh they couldnt do much i couldnt imagine huilding a huge coaster ontop a mountain
I like how you can always tell if something is a gerstlauer
Yeah, track style has become part of a company's quality and trademark features!
I live here and it's awesome! :}
that is one cool view.
I feel like they could have added like.. one more element or something. But like... it's totally the best coaster in colorado without a doubt now.
I hope I get a chance to ride this as I am going to Colorado in August. Not sure if I’ll be able to stop by yet but fingers crossed.
I'm not sure I like how short it is, but the rush must be INTENSE with that view and drop speed.
Just got on it the g on it is insane especially on the drop
The camera was hella bouncy there. Is the ride smoother than the POV makes it look?
Yeah, the camera was probably attached to their chest or head, not the train.
I went on it the second day of soft opening, it’s smooth but there is a lot of headbanging so you have to keep your head forward and it’s fine.
@@coastercar wow, a lot of head banging on a new ride
@@valguero7256 i feel like that’s pretty common for newer gerstlauers
The Setting is insane!!! But the Head banging made it not very re-rideable for me personally. Great addition to the park regardless.
Short ride, but I would hike a couple hours for that view alone.
Very nice. Very terrain dependant.
Sign me up.
Glenwood and Ocean Park have some of the best views in the world

Glenwood Caverns is like an IRL Rollercoaster Tycoon scenario

There are several Among Us crewmates etched into this coaster that will not be seen until track needs to be replaced.
Sus
They could very well fit a small helix and a pop of airtime into the brakes after the barrel roll
I thought this, too. A helix would make the ride feel a bit more complete, IMO.
This ride is shockingly short.
Looks rough is it that bumpy
If this ride wasn't places on top of a mountain with a spectacular view, this ride wouldn't be much at all.
but it is
it would’ve had a different and longer layout if it wasn’t on a mountain bruh
