We all know that a VP is next in line after the president. Biden said that he had always considered her to be an able president if he were not able to continue. We all knew we had voted for her when we voted for HIM in the primary. And we don't need to change the ticket to HER when she's on the ticket already.
I am glad that msm is finally noticing that VP Harris exists. They haven't noticed the majority of her work for the last 3.5 years. She went to Central America early in the administration to try to help figure out how to stem the tide of refugees. She has been engaging with young voters all along, been dealing with usual tie-breaker issues (30+) in Congress, recently went to Africa. There is so much more going on there than 'She has a weird laugh....'

Biden has delivered results in areas like the cost of medicine, climate change, infrastructure (I-95 in Philly rebuilt and reopened in a year, Baltimore Harbor reopened in 11 weeks), and persuading a Republican Speaker to agree to a deal to raise the debt ceiling and pass a budget...at the cost of his job.
Sadly, the other question lurking behind Biden's age and fitness is whether any vulnerability he shows increases the likelihood of a woman of color becoming president over the next four years and how many voters will not want to vote for that possibility. If the election is going to come down to 70,000 voters in three states, it doesn't take any more than that number of racists and sexists out of 160 million to change the result. Like I say, sadly...but realistically speaking.
Since Trump is not going to choose Nikki Haley as his running mate, and though he looked barely alive at 9am at his trial day after day, the question of whether he will survive until he's 82 and be able to do the job (as if he has ever been qualified to be president), does not arise if he chooses Rubio, Burgum or Vance because they are not women of color.

I have never understood why the focus of the campaign is always solely on the President. The Vice President is the second in the chain of command, they would be someone who stands up just as often. In this election, maybe more so. Kamala needs to show that the party should stay unified behind Biden AND her.
