5 ramps and four cars. Ramp (in degrees): 10, 15, 30, 40 and 50. From which ramp will the car fly the farthest, which ramp will be the most efficient for the long jump?

Another advantage of this strategy is that it keeps different types of viewers engaged.
2) Exploit a pattern, many viewers might have noticed that the truck always did 15-30 meters better than that SUV. This became a pattern for each ramp and the viewers might wish to see that pattern repeating

The ramps weren't accurately labeled. They appear to based on a triangle that takes up the same space but don't account for the ramps' curved path. The departure angle on the last ramp was at least 80 degrees, not 50.
Yes, but I think he did it beacuse if he said 80, everyone would say, “there’s no way that’s 80 degrees, that’s practically a wall!” But yeah.

Is there a way to calculate the energy put into 1) moving the car, 2) energy that goes into lifting it up the ramp an than the air and finally 3) that goes into destruction of the car?
Kinetic energy is 1/2 * mass * velocity² (mass in kg and velocity in meter per second). You just need the vector of the velocity at the point of impact, and you can calculate the amount of energy. The velocity at the point of impact is lower, because you lose some of the momentum due to wind resistance after lift. If you know the cw of the car, you can calculate how much velocity you lose. If you want to know how much chemical energy you need by factoring in the degree of efficiency, you basically need to devide the kinetic energy with ~30% (factor of 0,3) which is typical for gas engines. With that, you can also calculate how much fuel you need, since 1 Liter of gasoline holds about 10kWh.

Theoretically, the longest distance would have been with a 45° angle ramp. BUT, the steeper the ramp, the more speed the car lose on it. So, optimum becomes 30°.

The ramps aren't really fair. They are "designed" from the rear. Mayby 25-35 could be the correct angle. Who knows?

I am 76, although this VID is about cars. From a military point of view, depending on the amount of powder is in the shell for speed, on a calm day for the maximum range of the projectile the barrel has to be positioned at 45º. If less than this it will fall shallow, if more it will fall short.
