Have you ever done a diamond layout wet room ? With cuts for the shower like this. I have checkerboard tiles and want them diamond in layout but not sure this is possible with my wet room floor
Hey there, Anything is possible it's just how it looks..I've done plenty of herringbone wet room floors which are quite similar to diamond. What you normally end up with is quite a few cuts through the tiles. It really depends on how you invison the finish to look. I think if you can get the right size tile for diamond, Then you can set that on the centre of the drain and hopefully eliminate a load of envelope cuts. I would draw it out to scale, draw the wet room tray falls (where the tiles will have to be cut) , and place different size tile diamond layouts over the top, And find your best size for looks. Hope that helps!
When tiling a ceiling what l do is use a hawk (morter board ) and standard trowel, spread a very thin layer on first with the trowel above the hawk being stood slightly toone side of the area you are spreading, the hawk position catches most if not all the falling debris, oh and keep your gob closed😂
I amlost watched all your tutorial vidoe, good good where are u from. love from NZ
Awesome, Glad you liked them mate.. I'm from the south of the UK

Yeah that's a really good idea actually, For catching it! I'll do that next time. The mouth closing may take a bit more working on though 😂
