Humility, is the one tenet of recovery, she missed entirely. It also happens to be the most important one. Not only for addicts, frankly but for every human on the planet.

There are Givers & Takers in life. Lu is a taker, she relentlessly takes from her friends & even her children (if she could get away with it). Her go-to excuse for her revolting behaviour is always "people are jealous of her". After the Tom fiasco, she should have learned but you can't teach an old dog new tricks, unfortunately. It seems Lu is destined to remain alone with a deep love & appreciation for herself. When you think so highly of yourself there is no room for anyone else.
Luann maybe be self-absorbed but they must have all have some of that trait to even be on a show. And whatever, she looks phenomenal.

Every episode was branded with Skinny Girl somewhere (remember last year there was multiple episodes about her horrible Skinny jeans.) Then this year she made up a fake story of selling part of this company. So why was she allowed to talk non stop about her business?

It would've been interesting to see Barbara on RHONJ. She would've fit in there more I think. The thing is she really IS NYC/NJ, but the Long Island / Staten Island / outer boroughs version. The other ladies are all very much Manhattan women, and that's where she didn't mesh with them. BUT, I see why production threw her in - it made for an interesting dichotomy, kind of like Alex from Brooklyn in the early seasons vs the rest of the cast.

Luann is not self centered. She is the nicest housewife of the group. She becomes defensive with the group when the other ladies attack her. I think it all began with her being a contessa.
Hard to spot a narcissist but it’s not Lu. A narcissist blames everyone and anyone else for their own bad behavior. Lu took accountability for her behavior and apologized. Narcissists never apologize. Dorinda is the narcissist in this group. She’s always right. Never has anything to apologize for. She is envious of everyone. She’s just plain mean...and has no remorse for her actions or words. Lu is the scapegoat not the narcissist in this group.
BOTH of them are narcissists. There a NINE categories of narcissists, and tons of them actually do admit their wrongs, but of course it's a matter of time before the REPEAT their bad behavior again and again and again. Some narcississts outward behavior is the opposite of another type of narc. Help yourself by studying all types. Some of the people who seem to do the best things for others are the biggest and most insidious narcs.
I believe Lu is the scapegoat in this situation and will stand by that. Also since millions of narcissists admit their wrongs then are the millions of scapegoats out there trying to get validated about the abuse they have endured lying? Covert narcissists never admit their wrongs! Never. They will shift the blame to anyone or just gaslight and act as if nothing ever happened. Narcissistic personalities have no remorse or empathy so admitting their wrongs is just not a part of their make up.
Luann is always the fall guy. Bethenny has done terrible things to all the cast and Andy's favorite. She never takes responsibility for anything. Look at her divorce and her treatment of Jason. Luann finished her probation Bethenny is still on divorce.
