Will, really appreciate your videos, very Intelligent Insight. I agree that this current crisis is changing our identity and impacting everyone's mental health. Only permanent residents should be able to oen property. The comfort that having a your own home over your head is priceless, but not if you spend your whole life getting there. People are stressed and cranky. I earn an above average wage, but I feel that I NEED to get into property to help secure my kids future. No other asset class comes close. I would rather not, but I'm worried my kids will never own their own home, and EVERYONE I know thinks like that.

Gotta agree with a lot of those points - hiding beneficiaries and allowing vacant properties seems unlikely to create nice neighbourhoods.

Australian housing should be for Australian citizens, not foreign investors siphoning money from Australia.

One other thing that would help is having time limits on land banking so that land available for residential is not locked up for decades for increased profits penalty's after a set amount reasonable time ie 5 years then financial penalties ie higher rates to discourage unreasonable delays in development for purpose land banking to push up profit. Councils budget more dependant on providing land releases or increased capacity this could help regional council gain a bit more of the pie for infrastructure needed.

Was nodding my head off in agreement but thinking everything you are saying that is appropriate to fix the problem will never happen. A second later that was your exact words 😂

The world is over leveraged. The share market is red with over heating. The next big down turn would be scary. When this happens all money from overseas would dry up and governments would just borrow to more to their own already scary amounts. Where is this all heading …

Fair comments. America needs more debt..the rest of the world wants to lend less to the America...something has to break at some point.
