The whole time you were talking about those LYS compacts being too big and bulky I was thinking about how the pressed powder one had way less product than your other powders when you panned it. So somehow the triangle compact is too bulky AND too small 😂
I love declutters! 😊 It's nice to see all the shades swatched next to eachother, it really makes the undertones stand out. I'm always on the hunt for cool toned neutral blushes that are NOT peachy or orange at all, and it's so hard. Don't get me started on pinky bronzers 🙄 I wanted the new nyx bronzer, but it was sold out (thankfully haha), and it's obviously not the color they showed online, it's not pinky at all 😅 I might finally try the essence mauve blush, it looks stunning! 😍 The pure nude blush is nice, but unfortunately it barely shows up on my skin (I skip foundation).
I considered getting rid of my Befitting blush but I am keeping it, I have a pan in it and would like to finish if I can. I think these blushes are being discontinued, or they are marked down on the Essence site to $2. I really like Milani Luminoso, that is my warmer toned blush, warmer tones are not the most flattering on me but I can pull this one off, like it a lot.
I wittled my collection down to 11 blushes, 2 bronzers, and 1 highlighter recently! I rarely wear highlighter and I do not need a bunch of bronzers as I don't tan much if at all (I'm an indoor cat that slathers myself in SPF if I go outside). I just love blush!
nooo, I mix products all the time! it's always been a fear of mine but it makes getting ready so much easier since i'm a fair olive. i'ts very hard to find base products that match :\ I'm gonna use up the one's I've made and stick to mixing the day of if needed
Oh yeah I think mixing things the day you are using them is totally fine since they are all ending up on your face anyway! It’s mixing them and letting them sit in a container for months that concerns me 😅
I'm a chemist but not a cosmetic chemist. Most chemical reactions require heat, which I'm guessing you are using with your cream products to get them to mix. I'm not too worried with Frankenstein products because worse case scenario you get a "clean" product. I would definitely have no problems with powder products.
Yeah, I find it hard to part with anything, but if I never use it, even if I put it in a 'use' basket..and I just don't like the colour on me, I've tried to get it out of my collection (it makes room for a new one😊😊)
i don't declutter my blushes, just eyeshadow palettes. maybe its me but i always find my way back to them and enjoy rediscovering old products and enjoying them again.
Sarah, are you a full time TH-camr? I’ve just always wondered since I started watching your channel but was never sure. & you did a great job on decluttering things that you felt didn’t serve you. Blush is also a hard category for me
There’s so many pretty cream blushes! I wish I had the skill to make them work for me - I feel like they always move my foundation weird (I’m a full coverage kinda gal). But I do have one from makeup by Mario I love - I’d highly recommend that one… I know you just decluttered lol
I think if u haven't experinced anything bad from mixed creams so far, you are probably doing it so well that ur safe. It's not a given anything bad is gonna happen. It's risky for people that are not sanitary

I mean 1/2bh=area of a triangle its a very inefficient shape

I have never bought LYS because I just can't get past the triangle. Way too many tight corners, just no. I don't know what someone was thinking.
I agree! I like the triangle packaging for their cream bronzer because it’s not as intrusive to the space in my makeup drawer haha

I'm light olive too and just recently i mix green eyashadow with foundations to get my ideal undertone, and IT works great 😊

Every time you do math and calculate percentage on the fly im so impressed. I have never been able to calculate stuff in paper, let alone in my mind.
