100% valid for removing shadow & bone but girl trust me you’d love six of crows. haven’t read ninth house but just from the vibes i get from it, if you liked it i think you’ll like six of crows
removing six of crows was CRIMINAL (it’s my favourite book ever it’s so awesome i think you should give it a try, you don’t have to read shadow & bone beforehand)
okay if dead romantics doesn’t seem like your vibe you still have to read an ashley poston book. she’s an incredible writer and her romances are top tier. The Seven Year Slip was one of my top 5’s this year. she’s coming out with a new one next year about a grumpy small town bookstore owner and an author so maybe that would be more your speed!!
Part of your world by Abby Jimenez is my FAVORITE!!!! It gives the same vibes as Caught Up by Liz Tomforde to me in the sense that I LOVE both characters and want nothing but the best for them but outside factors make their romance really really difficult and ugh just so good. It talks about trauma and (verbal and emotional) abuse *beautifully*. And the side characters are WONDERFUL, they really make the book special to me. So big big recommend from me on that one!!!
Vetoing Murder on the Christmas Express was a GREAT idea. I read it yesterday and it was awful, literally the only 1 star review I’ve left this year because it wasn’t trauma-informed at ALL in my professional opinion as a therapist.
been waiting for this all day, glad I checked right before i was going to bed. also love this video idea, ive had to downsize my TBR so many times, it gets so overwhelming. just finished the naturals today, so good!
Heather, please keep Part of Your World on your list! I absolutely loved it and gave it 5 stars! It’s a small town romance, and I think you’ll love the MMC Daniel. He gives rugged lumberjack, handyman, country vibes! You have to read it!
I did the same recently. Only I'm not as good at scrapping TBRed books as you are based on what I know of them / feeling. So instead I opened each book in the Books app and read through the free sample to see if I would pay money to continue or not. If not, deleted from Goodreads.
Every summer after is one of my favorite books(5 stars) and I HATE the cheating trope. It's done differently somehow. I cannot get that book out of my head kind of book!! The second book meet me at the lake doesn't have a cheating trope at all. It's okay but not as good. They were very nostalgic for me but then again I live right near where they take place ❤
You don't know how happy I am that you're posting every day. I'm in first year university (English major), and your vidoes are so good to watch when I'm taking a break.
I can’t believe you only had 163 books on your to read! I have 580 on my want to read, though to be fair I’ve read 474 books so I’m kind of getting there …
💓 One true loves is TJR's best book. 💓 Remove the friend zone and add part of your world. the part of your world series is better than the friend zone series. 💓Heated rivalry is so good. i think you should consider it. one of the best mm books I've ever read.
My heart going pitter patter when I saw you hovering over the perfect marriage and screaming at the screen like don’t delete it!! I loved that book but I did listen to it on audiobook xx
The dawn of onyx I just put on my tbr it sounds rlly good it’s where the villain gets the girl and the two main characters are trapped in prison together and they both help each other to get out! Idk it sounds good to me and I can’t see u liking that!
Scandalized is quite good if you like christina lauren books, it’s one of the two of them their solo debut i believe? it’s confusing. the book is great though!
i just finished sometimes i lie at the end of november. it was slower paced in the beginning, but the ending made up for it. not the most revolutionary mystery ever, but i do recommend an avid reader to read it
please read six of crows, you don’t need to read shadow and bone before!! if you do read six of crows pls give it a real chance, read at least half of the book before you choose to dnf it bc it’s confusing at the start but it’s so worth it i promise!!! if you love the found family trope you’re going to absolutely love these books :)
Noo please don't remove the song of Achilles, I think it's beautifully written and the love story is heartbreaking 💛 Idk but I feel like it's one of those books that stays with you, it's one of my favorites ever!
Oh and Heated Rivalry is 2 hockey players with the biggest rivalry in the NHL secretly falling in love over the 10 years of their careers. Definitely recommend!
also joining those saying give The Dead Romantics and Ashley Poston a try. hmm, if you sometimes like creepy / unsettling demon children you should add The Push back.
From on the moon let’s look upon our Earth where clouds as old as Zeus’s beard ballet. The whipped-cream stormclouds love to swirl and turn where couples could be kissing in their rain. Somewhere somebody wakes. Somebody sleeps and dreams of things they will forget about. Somebody in their window hugs their knees and lends the day a timeless thoughtful pout. Oh but it’s time to take our planet back. The globe you have to pay your taxes on? as slanted ruins long for people past who weren’t dependent on a soulless job. Why should we obey the rich anymore? Let’s burn our bills the way we toast our smores. (a sonnet that I wrote)
You should read fairydale my veronica lancet it has mature themes and mmc is also crazy but is also isn’t human and visits fmc in a cat form its crazy but awesomeee
PLEASE PLEASE listen to Jennette mcgurdy read her own book, the audiobook is so easy to get into and it’s way better than reading the book yourself. Once you hear it in her voice, it’s all audio
You downloaded a book and then you didn't read it and you did that twice,,, I think I'm gonna make breakfast this morning. French toascrambled eggs sausage english muffin, strawberry jam. 🐿With a bowl of berries with a bowl of berrie. 2 cups of coffee and my morning cigar, then watch your video. I didn't forget.😊
If you find Goodreads a bit of a let down (which it is), I'd recommend storygraph. Interesting and good stats and you can move your Goodreads data over so all the work in this video won't be for nothing 👍
Please please read "A merry little meet cute" by Julie Murphy and Sierra Simone (the author of "Priest") its a romantic erotic comedy. I seriously need your thoughts on it. PLEASE AND THANK U. Havea great dayy
100% valid for removing shadow & bone but girl trust me you’d love six of crows. haven’t read ninth house but just from the vibes i get from it, if you liked it i think you’ll like six of crows
Ooooo I’ll add it back :-)
I attempted to read all 3 books of shadow and bone & really didn’t like them. I’ve got six of crows duo-logy at home and I’m scarred to read!! Xx

The scarlet princess is a great fantasy series. I recently read it and loved it! It’s a Romantasy with a little bit of found family!
I second this!!
been waiting for this all day, glad I checked right before i was going to bed.
also love this video idea, ive had to downsize my TBR so many times, it gets so overwhelming.
just finished the naturals today, so good!
I would recommend story graph as an alternative to Goodreads. As a stem girlie I love looking all the different stat breakdowns!
The push is so good! its like a psychological thriller following a mom like postpartum its so interesting I really enjoyed it!
Heather, please keep Part of Your World on your list! I absolutely loved it and gave it 5 stars! It’s a small town romance, and I think you’ll love the MMC Daniel. He gives rugged lumberjack, handyman, country vibes! You have to read it!
Added it back🫡🫡🫡
Add a dawn of onyx back!! It was so worth the read!!! 🙌

@@HeatherMcLarry yes you’ll love it! spotify has it!

I need to do this! I think I have over 1,000 on my list and my reading tastes have definitely changed since I started it 🙈
Nooo you have to read Part of your world !!!!!!! It’s one of my favorites 😢
i feel like you would have vibed with the grishaverse cause the darkling is technically a shadow daddy
please read six of crows, you don’t need to read shadow and bone before!! if you do read six of crows pls give it a real chance, read at least half of the book before you choose to dnf it bc it’s confusing at the start but it’s so worth it i promise!!! if you love the found family trope you’re going to absolutely love these books :)
IN A HOLIDAZE IS WORTH THE READ 🥲
You removing every grishaverse book physically pained me!!!
This has motviated me to do the same! We are going into 2024 with a game plan
My list is close to 300 and only because I've entered that many book giveaways on goodreads this year, I should really go through mine.
Mine is over 800 🫠🫠
Heather, you definitely still want to read all the light we cannot see!
instead of the dead romantics you should read the seven year slip by that same author, i liked it sooo much more
Noo please don't remove the song of Achilles, I think it's beautifully written and the love story is heartbreaking 💛 Idk but I feel like it's one of those books that stays with you, it's one of my favorites ever!
Unhinged is psychopathic vigilante killer and one of his victims sons… I do recommend 😅
Oh and Heated Rivalry is 2 hockey players with the biggest rivalry in the NHL secretly falling in love over the 10 years of their careers. Definitely recommend!
@@jean5833samee. one of my favourite books ever
Angelfall is such a good book
According to me it is much better than all those 2014 dystopian books
also joining those saying give The Dead Romantics and Ashley Poston a try. hmm, if you sometimes like creepy / unsettling demon children you should add The Push back.
I just made my 2024 tbr
The Life list is a great book… please, read it asap ☺️👍🏻😉
Yay!
The absolutely insane amount of friend requests is sending me
I want to do this but there are over 800 books so it’s going to take ages

I recently read vicious by ve Schwab and I think you’d really like it
DUUUUDE, six of crows is the best heist book ever!! Rather skip shadow and bone series and just read six of crows 😭
I added six of crows back!!
Me sitting with 850 books on my Goodreads tbr 😑
i thought goodreads looked ancient back when i made my account in 2015... it has not changed in the slightest

Please please read "A merry little meet cute" by Julie Murphy and Sierra Simone (the author of "Priest") its a romantic erotic comedy. I seriously need your thoughts on it. PLEASE AND THANK U. Havea great dayy
Currently reading I’m Glad My Mom Died 😅 It’s ok, but I prefer Educated by Tara Westover so far. Similar ish memoir
omg dont read dh1 before mp111111
Only a Monster by Vanessa Len is worth a read, the premise is interesting and the parts about it that sound cringe-y don't ruin it
Keep part of your world and take out the friend zone- that book is nowhere near as good, it’s one of her earlier books and it’s infuriating
Remove you shouldn’t have come here it’s not worth your time
