I wonder if the same Capcom exec who needed Rashid released and playable for Evo is the same decision maker who redefined how leverless controllers work in March. Capcom have kicked butt and built a lot of community capital with SF6 but holy crap have they made some unhinged decisions this year.
honestly i think Rashid himself isn't going to be a massive issue but someone somewhere is going to get fucked over by a glitch or bug at evo, possibly without even being aware of it. The game is only 2 months old and the character will have been out 10 days, they cannot address everything and even if they could they cannot be having more emergency patches this close to evo. Capcom wants to showcase the new character but I do think they should have just banned him. Even as someone with 0 stake in this it really seems like letting him be playable was a purely marketing decision
@@flowchartkenYT At this point I 200% agree it's a marketing decision, the kind that gives developers nightmares. I just hope that grand finals is Rashid v. Rashid so nobody can say they got cheated out of winning grand finals.
@@flowchartkenYT omg what if that's exactly what Capcom wants 🤣 They'd be sleeping in the bed they made themselves. Heck now I kinda want it to happen just to prove a point about artificial deadlines and rushed release dates.
Easy fix, all Rashid players in mirror match pools together to expose all the broken shit people been hiding before letting them play against the rest of the cast. Seriously though, Capcom 🤦🏽♀️
I think ppl are overreacting ngl. If something else is discovered the day before or day-of the tournament and isn’t fixed or he isn’t banned then that is a dif story. But that goes for all characters, not just rashid. I also just think video game balance will always be imperfect in some way, competitive or not. Plus within only 24 hours everyone learned SO much abt this character, i’m sure pros will have the knowledge on how to be able to deal with him Props to capcom for working so quick. Literally when i woke up i heard about the bug & the same day when i was going to sleep it was patched.
Yeah regardless of anything Capcom is on this shit, they did the same thing with the omega tech OS bug that was discovered. Shit was gone before people even really had time to use it. Its hard to say, I think its the combination of this being a somewhat unprecedented situation and also this evo just being mega huge. Also having the winner be qualified for the 1 mil CPT finals. The stakes have just never been higher. Not for me though because I suck :,D
Capcom is absolutely off their rocker releasing this update before EVO. Especially in the broken state that it's in.
He's gonna be allowed watch

@@flowchartkenYThaha same brotherrr.. it will be quite funny if a rashid happens to win someone $1mil imo
I would ban him. EVO should make that call them selves not Capcom, but I don't know the inner politics of these tournaments.
if they do it they need to do it like now, people are already practicing Rashid with the intention to play him at EVO. I doubt they ban him
Capcom mandated it. If they go against that Capcom can and will sue.
@@jamaledwards8118 roger that.
They have already patch it Out along with a JP Embrace bug that allowed him to do 80 percent damage.
As I said In the video
Watch the vid next time lol
As the other 2 people pointed out, this was addressed in the video and you should have watched it before commenting what everyone already knew
Was the bomb joke on purpose?😂😂
it was not but I can no longer unsee it
