In that moment he was lying in the crater, after seeing his friends get killed and The Chosen One struggling to fight off the viruses, the only thought, only idea, only concept in his entire _being,_ was that he _needed_ to stop The Dark Lord. Maybe you can say he had some weird deep-seeded power in him he wasn't aware of, but I say it was mainly just willpower. (This is just my interpretation of it, anyway.)

And that beating the dark lord gave him was what woken his powers. Pushed his body to its limits, that kind of thing. Why TSC gained special powers is because all of his friends died, and as stated in AvA IV, he said: "You ended my friends. Now I will end you." And he really means it, and by all costs he will get his friends back and get revenge on whoever killed (or deleted, you could say) his friends. Since he wants to end The Dark Lord at all costs, knowing that TDL is extremely powerful, TSC triggers an unknown power that he never knew he had to fully defeat him. Also, TSC is also a variant of The Chosen One, as his name is "The Second Coming" and you could say he is the second coming of the Chosen One, meaning that he has a secret power deep inside him, even more powerful than TCO. I'd say this is plot armor but not really since it links to the lore.

I was also including the Second Coming, and just like the Chosen One and the Dark Lord dosen't has their names for nothing (the Chosen One fight for fun, but then realizes the Dark Lord dosen't do that when he saw he wanted to spread a virus around the world and destroy the internet FOR GOOD, or better, even tho the Chosen One is theorelically bad, he still has good in him, while the Dark Lord just wants to destroy everthing, these names are not choosen randomly, it defines the stick figure personality), the Second Coming aplies to that as well, the Chosen one = the first version, the Dark Lord = a little better than the Chosen One but he lost the first battle againt him (the episode 3), Second Coming = better against them all, blue yellow red and green = just some mortals that had no idea their best friend (the Second Coming) was the super intergalactical powerful being of the internet [the Second Coming just like how I told you, he dosen't know that].
