Splinter Cell Double Agent Game Movie Website: www.gamematics.net Community: www.gamematics.... Gameplay: lapman17 Game Developer: Ubisoft Shanghai Game Publisher: Ubisoft
I remember playing this game over and over and over. different choices, different endings. man where are the good old days where you could play the same game over and over. this game is in my top 5 best ever games for sure. the soundtrack, the vibe, the story and character development.. Sam was being dragged to hell and back. I love Micheal ironside as his voice. this game remains in my heart forever
@@dominicknatale6740 yes. But. There is something special about Double Agent. It was the transition between the original play stye and the only Sam Fisher voice (props to the new guy (s) for trying). Then Conviction really changed up the gameplay and Blacklist refined that but somehow along the way we lost Sam...just another soldier.
Haha, I remember back in the days when me and my brother would ask our parents to rent this game to play, and we’d always stay up playing this, having fun, getting angry cause one can’t do another, etc. True childhood PlayStation memories.
I really like that you have made canonical decisions according to the Splinter Cell Universe (Jam the signal of the bomb on Cozumel ship, save Hisham and shoot Lambert) in this game movie. Only one note though, for the movie I think it would be much better and intense to take out Emile (the boss) in a hand to hand fight, rather to just shoot him up. Still thank you very much for the effort and keep up the good work!
jackbauer246 Thanks Jack! Yea I definitely tried my hardest to stay true to the series, sometimes it is tough with all the decisions that need to be made, but luckily I knew enough about the series to keep it true. I understand about the Emile scenario, but i felt from a recording perspective the melee mechanics look so awkward it would have looked unnatural and wouldn't have done the hand to hand fight justice. Ofcourse that is purely just my opinion, but I wanted to give you some sense of why I did that. I appreciate the comment and definitely love the advice. Thank you for the support and for checking out my channel!
Gamematics I agree with you about the melee mechanics. I suppose that was really in the player's hands on how to take down Emile (Shoot him, knock him out, stab him or take him down hand to hand). I just cannot accept the fact that the player doesn't have a choice to take down Emile on a much more personal level. After everything Fisher had done for him, with one of the hardest choices is his life to shoot his boss and friend Lambert, I think from the story point perspective it is a waist of good showdown to just simple gun down Emile. You can get him in a choke hold position, which is not easy, and interrogate him, but even that doesn't give me enough satisfaction. On the other hand, as you realised, you had to take out Carson Moss (boss on the boat) hand to hand, since you didn't have a weapon to shoot him up ;). But even that was cheesy. Hell, Moss didn't like Fisher from the day he met him and then when they finally face each other: no words?! The storyline had great potential, but it was not developed enough in my opinion.
jackbauer246 Yea I can definitely understand where you are coming from and definitely agree they could have made the main kills be more "grand". It would have been cool to take out Emile in his apartment area....and I definitely agree about the Moss incident....that felt like it was just thrown together after the fact.
The Double Agent/Conviction story arc was so damn cool. SO damn COOL. Sam was a human, getting older and scar after scar. As it says in the cutscene after the first mission "he'd never be the same again." So why the fuck did he get 15 years younger and become the government, as a gun-ho US Ace military drongo he was in Blacklist? He was NEVER like that in the early series. Were Splinter Cell's writers replaced? What happened? Why did we get this stealth call of duty story? The gameplay was a ton of fun no doubt and a good direction to move the series in terms of gameplay evolution, but I hope we forget Blacklist and give Sam a real fucking story next time. Oh, and Ironside. Either retcon the Shit out of the game and say that wasn't really Sam, it was a young operative that you played and Sam was being all Lambert-y in the plane, or just fucking return the voice to him. Hell, keep the new actor for mocap. But do what 343 did with Halo 4: they got mocap actors and actually KEPT the ORIGINAL VOICES of the main characters! But how could they pull that off? Ubisoft couldn't do it. Must be impossible.
MrSpaceMarine *games*, and you are correct, Splinter cell has always been a Ubisoft creation... different developers and designers have done their own twist on every new game really, it's hard to define a splinter cell identity so most settle for chaos theory
Hey, this is great. Thanks for all the effort you put into making these! They're amazing. I watched this because I am doing a play-through of all the Splinter Cell games on PC, but the PC port of Double Agent is literally unplayable. Thanks again!
Can't believe we never got a new splinter cell on ps4 tbh these games were my child hood gd times indeed ☺ still got double agent blacklist and think it's the first one ☺ glad I can go back and replay them again ☺☺ .. Nice video m8
You know, I have been playing Ghost Recon: Breakpoint recently. If you think it is a bad game, don't mind this comment. Anyway, there is a skill set in the game called "Echelon" which is what Fisher was. Why not give that a chance if you haven't already? I enjoy the game myself and I love the Splinter Cell games.
Man, I hate those color nightvision goggles. The green ones do a lot more to enhance the game's atmosphere. Hoenstly, out of the two versions of this game I think the Xbox/PS2 version is just a better game. Better told story, more in depth and better "Splinter Cellish" levels. But the 360/PS3 version has more set pieces, more interesting mechanics, and WAY better undercover missions in the JBA HQ. I think if I was able to mix and match, I could create the ultimate version of Double Agent that would blow both versions out of the water.
+TheTaff512 why did the xbox 360 version have to be the canon version. i think ps2/xbox should have been the canon version as the ending cutscenes in the ps2 version fit really well into why sam hates third echelon in conviction. if i could create an alternate universe. then in that universe. all versions of double agent ps3/360/xbox/ps2/pc would all follow the xbox/ps2 version.
+TheTaff512 a friend gave me the ps2 version. i played it and i loved the way how that one worked. then i got the xbox 360 version. I WAS SO UTTERLY DISSAPOINTED! My favourite mission "Money Train" wasn't in it.
Really enjoying these videos, good stuff. You play well, you jumped the gun the bit near the end shootin' Emile and his cronies though, no pun intended, almost died there =P
Gamematics No, ta to you for makin' 'em. Nice to see different ways that people play the same game too. I'm not that into modern games but I might give The Order video you made a watch after I get around to watchin' the original Splinter Cell one. I've been playing my old PS1 and PS2 games recently. So far I've fully completed Duke Nukem Time to Kill on next to highest difficulty(without cheat codes this time =P) Ratchet Gladiator, on Exterminator setting I think it's called, Manhunt on hardcore difficulty and Freedom Fighters on Revolutionary. I think it's bonkers that you recorded and then put together a 3 hour video of it... and some. Bit odd though because I heard off my friend that it's more or less like a film already =P
Johny40Se7en That is awesome! I love retro gaming. I edit the video, in Double Agent there is a lot of walking around not doing anything special...so I cut out the irrelevant parts and make a movie out of it. Happy you enjoy them!
You got the developer wrong. The PC/Xbox360/PS3 version of this game was made by Ubisoft Shanghai. The PS2/Xbox/Gamecube/Wii was made by Ubi Montreal. Also they are two almost completely different games so I think we'd need a Montreal cutscene version
Yea I was aware of that, I must of copied and pasted that from another Ubisoft game without paying close attention. Thanks for the heads up. I fixed it.
Easily the best storyline of the series for me.... The visual are amazing too... But all splinter cells had nice graphics.. ( to me) I personally think Double Agent is a bit under rated.... Although not the top 2... I'd go original 1st. Chaos Theory 2nd. Then double agent. But hey what do I know. I think conviction has amazing moments. (Moments)

Stricken 7th Awesome! Well thanks for watching! I really appreciate it! I hope some of my other game movies interest you as much as the Splinter Cell ones did!

No, I don't plan to do that. Sorry. In my previous Splinter Cell videos people complained because I had Night Vision on too much and they said it took away from the movie feel. So as you can see, I can't really win with either decision I make.
go to my channel, click the playlist link, there is a splinter cell one set up. I don't have one of this specific game. I only produce one video per game.
Oh yea I played that one they say his daughter was killed when she was really kidnapped and grim break the news to him and after conviction that's when blacklist comes. Yea sorry I had to rethink I wasn't thinking that day. Thanks and splinter cell is my childhood game. But I think I understand now, Thanks.
Hey Gamematics, I was wondering if you could do the Xbox/PS2 version of this game? There are a bunch of differences between that one and the "next-gen" version on PS3/360 that I want to see.
Hey Danger! I would love to...but I am not sure the differences would merit all the effort I put into making these. The views just aren't enough to make two game movies for essentially the same game. Although there are some differences....I am not sure there are enough to merit doing it again. So sorry.....these game movies take a long time for me to produce and I would rather create a new game movie than redo one that I already completed. I hope that doesn't discourage you from enjoying my other game movies. Thanks for the comment!
Really strange that on the second JBA level, you didn't jump down the window by the computer to leave the Restricted Area after getting proof of the bomb. It's what I did.
The video was looking great but i was wondering that you could play the ps2 version of splinter cell double agent i know it takes a lot of time but you could also make different episodes of it.
+Gamematics My favorite part is when sam has to choose who too snipe in the tower in the middle of that warzone in mission 9...Hes got two bosses breathing down his neck and hes gotta make a serious choice. Not enough people keep on that scene long enough to have that little moment.
MarcusObrian Yea, it is a pretty important part, because it is the point where Sam has to really pick a side. I hope I captured it the way it deserved to be captured. It is tough to capture a game that allows you to make choices because you want to make sure your choices follow with the story of the game that follows it.
As I've never played Double Agent, I'm a bit lost here. This isn't a movie obviously. Is it basically a gameplay, played a certain way to enhance the theatrics? Don't know a better way to word that, hope someone knows what I mean.
Thank you very much Christopher! If you like this one, you will like the other Splinter Cell movies I have done. Check them out and if you like them subscribe, so you can be notified when I release new ones! Thanks again!
I remember really enjoying the game --- especially the JBA HQ missions. But overall it was a mess technically (I played the PC port which I hear is the worst compared to the console versions), too many damn bugs and game crashes to the point that I just gave up during mission 9
Ngoc Y Le Yea I have to admit out of all the games, Double Agent was my least favorite. I still enjoyed playing it....but I didn't really care for the story.
how does jba know sam is undercover when he kills lambert? i thought that when he killed lambert that he was still on good terms with jba? really confused
+Jimmy feta when sam uses enrica's retina to access thr lower area to defuse the bomb, they know she is deceased. It is not explained well anywhere, but you can walk around the upper level and everyone congratulates you on killing Lambert, but as soon as you take the elevator down using a dead person's credentials, the announcement over the loud speaker occurs.
Is it just me or the Xbox version vs Wii version of this are completely different? I played first the Wii one so is really weird now watching this again
Honestly, I prefer the 6th gen Montréal version. They didn't water down the stealth to "invisible, visible, combat", and didn't remove the sound metre.
I just bought the PC version... got the instruction booklet with it.... it don't tell you much. I couldn't even get to open the door. Got to be the worst instruction booklet I've ever seen, so I'm throwing it in the bin (only been playing games since Space Invaders was in the pub) What a waste of 50p
Clearly not because she's in Blacklist. *SPOILER ALERT* Lambert faked her death to protect Sam from a mole within Third Echelon that would've blackmailed him by using her.
Meth Jr SPOILER WARNING No, she didn't die, Lambert faked Sarah's death to protect her...because he suspected a mole in Third Echelon that might be a treat...i think (i haven't played Convitction myself/just watch cutscenes). Anyway, Lambert told Sam that Sarah died. Lambert also told Sarah the same thing, that Sam died.

Really strange that on the second JBA level, you didn't jump down the window by the computer to leave the Restricted Area after getting proof of the bomb.
It's what I did.
+HistoMagouri More than one way to play the game brother ^_^
Best in game love scene ever lol
The video was looking great but i was wondering that you could play the ps2 version of splinter cell double agent i know it takes a lot of time but you could also make different episodes of it.
exellent video men.
+Raketni Thanks!
I like how there's no recoil
Love the music and atmosphere to the old splinter cells
What happened?
I love everything about the older Splinter Cell games.
What game system was this recorded from?
who would eat at a place called the crunchy spider?
+darthcryptic 123 lol, I sure as hell wouldn't.
As I've never played Double Agent, I'm a bit lost here. This isn't a movie obviously. Is it basically a gameplay, played a certain way to enhance the theatrics? Don't know a better way to word that, hope someone knows what I mean.
why i didn't remember doing that first mission back then
I work as an Double Agent in the year 2594
31:00 fentynal as knockout gas lol
Hey Gamematics do outlast i want to see you do the game with a webcam
I have a twitch account. Feel free to search lapman17 and follow. When I am on and streaming, I will use a webcam. Just haven't had the time recently.
Ok but if you have time please play it and record it
Is this a remastered version? I don't remember playing any of this in Double Agent.
+Noah W No this was the one released on Xbox 360.
+Gamematics ohhhh. I played the one for Original Xbox
Well put together
Thank you very much Christopher! If you like this one, you will like the other Splinter Cell movies I have done. Check them out and if you like them subscribe, so you can be notified when I release new ones! Thanks again!
Not a prob, I look forward to viewing others
Thanks for the support! It is very much appreciated.
I remember really enjoying the game --- especially the JBA HQ missions. But overall it was a mess technically (I played the PC port which I hear is the worst compared to the console versions), too many damn bugs and game crashes to the point that I just gave up during mission 9
47:15 Lambert turns off his IPod Nano
...wait wut
This was an awesome game
Can you do the original Xbox version game movie
fuck you masouni
It’s Moss. Get it right or pay the price.
saddest version of all series
Ngoc Y Le Yea I have to admit out of all the games, Double Agent was my least favorite. I still enjoyed playing it....but I didn't really care for the story.
blacklist was better
@@joeyocean6233 blacklist was the worst, gtfo
Can you please tell me how get permission to make game movie
you don't need permission. capture your gameplay, edit the videos and produce the video.
how does jba know sam is undercover when he kills lambert? i thought that when he killed lambert that he was still on good terms with jba? really confused
+Jimmy feta when sam uses enrica's retina to access thr lower area to defuse the bomb, they know she is deceased. It is not explained well anywhere, but you can walk around the upper level and everyone congratulates you on killing Lambert, but as soon as you take the elevator down using a dead person's credentials, the announcement over the loud speaker occurs.
i see. the real question is how do you remember this very specific detail 3 and a half years later? lol
+Jimmy feta I have beat the game many times prior to this video.
Why is my first mission in iceland? Does doubke agent have different versions?
This is the xbox 360 version, yes there was 2 versions and I played the original with iceland as my first mission too :)
Can you do grand theft auto 5? That would be pretty epic. Just the main story though
Hey Ubisoft... Wanna make a ton of money...
Remaster this game!
Is it just me or the Xbox version vs Wii version of this are completely different? I played first the Wii one so is really weird now watching this again
The original Xbox and Wii versions are the same I believe, the Xbox 360 version is very different.
Does anyone know where I can find a stable version on PC
just add a barcode tattoo behind Fisher's head and Voila! Agent 47 game on!! hahah
I preferred Chaos Theory, but this one is good too. 👍🏻. Did not like Blacklist at all. Moose, ha
I was not a fan of double agent.
I legit just realized there only 4 mission!!!!?!?!!!? Why tho
There are 10 missions
Why does Sam have a rectal scanner?
Best Splinter cell in terms of storz, alongside Conviction.
1:42:00 I loved this somg. I don't know what his name,
This was good but I enjoyed Chaos Theory more
I loved Chaos Theory
Which Splinter Cell DA do I have then? Mine ends with the death of Enrica, and Fisher cutting the throat of the murderer.
Likely the original Xbox version...I think. Idk never played that one. This is the Xbox 360 version.
Honestly, I prefer the 6th gen Montréal version. They didn't water down the stealth to "invisible, visible, combat", and didn't remove the sound metre.
After playing conviction, I’m glad I shot lambert in the interrogation room. Lol 🤷♂️
That sucks.
Which version is this?
This is the Xbox 360 version
Why it's different? ._.
Nostalgia
Yo did his daughter really die on this one? Cause his daughter is also on blacklist
Meth Jr you should watch Conviction it explains it all there.
Clearly not because she's in Blacklist. *SPOILER ALERT* Lambert faked her death to protect Sam from a mole within Third Echelon that would've blackmailed him by using her.
MrBraddles3128 It is in Convinction when Sam breaks into the agency's office building.
Meth Jr SPOILER WARNING
No, she didn't die, Lambert faked Sarah's death to protect her...because he suspected a mole in Third Echelon that might be a treat...i think (i haven't played Convitction myself/just watch cutscenes). Anyway, Lambert told Sam that Sarah died. Lambert also told Sarah the same thing, that Sam died.
Thanks all yall
Massa
so why did he became a double agent?
He thought his daughter was killed....so took the most dangerous assignment he could.
Gamematics thx
Beetle S No problem!
Best game ever !
