    Who left us with more memorable sayings and lovable gestures than the great Don Knotts! From his famous 'karate chops' delightful facial features including ear to ear smile. What a wonderful multi talented actor/singer and genuinely nice and kind man.

      I was just about to write almost exactly what you did. I'm reading his book right now, and it comes across that he was a very nice guy. In one place in the book he mentions that he had to hitchhike, it was in the 1940s or 1950s or so. But he cautions that "it was much safer to hitchhike back in those days than it is now". Wow! He was showing a concern that some readers might think it was safe to the same thing in today's world! He acted like a good father there. I think that reflects the way he was deep, down as a person. There's no higher compliment that can be paid to a person that that. A very nice guy.

    This was from a 2014 interview. The original film did end with a "?" which I guess was to hint at some sort of sequel down the line. This clip was in regards to Film Director Richard Linklater:
    Coming off his critically acclaimed film BOYHOOD, director Richard Linklater has suddenly departed the upcoming remake of The Incredible Mr. Limpet. The Incredible Mr. Limpet will star Zach Galifianakis, Josh Gad, Jon Hamm, Kevin Hart, Danny McBride, Sarah Silverman and Key & Peele. A remake of the 1964 Don Knotts film classic, the film follows Henry Limpet, who experiences his fondest wish and is transformed into a fish. The new version of the tale sets the action in present day and has Galifianakis' Limpet attempting to save the fish population of a small beach town.
    I wonder if this production will ever see the light of day (or dark of the theater)....

    Out of all the classics that they remade that didn't need to be remade.
    You would think Pixar would remake this one.

      You may have heard about the projected Jim Carrey remake that got scuttled. The producers, anxious to get their full money's worth out of Carrey, insisted that his ACTUAL face, not a cartoon one, be used as Mr. Limpet the fish! They tried to do it through motion capture, it looked grotesque, and that was the end of it!

    • @NeolotusB5G
      @NeolotusB5G ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@antoniod Very glad of that. I saw a pic with the Carrey face on the fish...UGH! There is no need to redo this, it's perfect and should be left that way.
