When you said Dan Kordic. Thought you meant his Late Brother John. Still Saddened by his Passing Years later

Correct me if i'm wrong but i remember my dad (he was a hardcore flyers fan) telling me back in the days that John had some drug or alcohol problems. Is that why he passed away?

Armstrong didn't win that fight, it was the unqualified announcer who doesn't know shit about fighting and was obviously a Boston fan claiming a win whitch in facked was Kordic loosing his footing and falling backwards the same time Armstrong thew a weak punch.. as a Canadian its our game and we know our hockey fights, almost every Canadian boy grew up playing hockey.. Dan Kordic wasn't TKO,d.

Kordic is my 3rd favorite Flyer of all time behind Lindros and Brashear.

Yeah Kordic is up there for me as well. Loved Brashear and Cote. Of course the Lindros era was must watch television as well.

Understood. But, Rick Tocchet is the best Flyer ever.
Dan Kordic was SO MUCH tougher than his brother John. RIP.
Oh, and I thought they retired Jeff Chrychrun's number? :>(

It was really strange watching these fights, either John taught Dan a few things or it's in their Croatian DNA!!!! haha I was good friends with John back in the Toronto days and after he died, I just couldn't bring myself to go to the games or even watch it. Years later my ex husband dragged me to a Canadians/Flyers game and I nearly fell out of my seat. I thought I was hallucinating...I kept seeing a Kordic jersey!! It was hard not bursting into tears. But I was happy to see Johnny's 'little' brother following in his big brother's footsteps. They even look somewhat alike but the fighting style is eerily the similar, but I think John was a bit more 'sauvage,' not that that's always good thing but he got the job done. He really should have gone into boxing, the man fought like he was on fast forward!! And fighting is rather encouraged in the boxing ring as opposed to on the ice!! lol When I saw the name of this video I feared that Dan had passed away. It seems that's not the case thank God. Their poor Mum could not have endured losing both sons to hockey. The sweetest woman you could ever meet. I hope Dan is doing well where ever he is and I truly hope Johnny has found peace, he deserved it.

Dan Kordic wore a goalie cut jersey. Why his arms were sometimes tied up.

He's not nearly as tough as his brother John.

Dan Kordic was the better fighter by a wide margin. John (RIP) threw speedbag punches with his left hand and had limited power, if any. Dan could throw pretty well with both hands; in most of these fights you could see the other guys would get uncomfortable whenever Kordic started thowing his left hand.

Kordic was an offensive defenseman in the minors until his leg was crushed in a car accident

Yeah in a race car accident. Because he was also a race car driver along with being an offensive defenseman. Shut the fuck up!!

And he won what! Mvp ,Art Ross,a cup, scoring title? Ok a hall of famer? No zero, 5 goals in 200 or so games. 6'5" ...... sorry but really it is not a great thing to go out and beat up someone in hockey! Or else they would give you an award for it! And they don't!!! This is what the flyers had to do to get someone to come to their games!!! Seat filler guys!!!
