Yes, I believe that you can tweak a few things. Here are some suggestions. I hope they help you. Great question, by the way!😊💕 1) Since the opacity of the blend layer directly affects the intensity of the blending mode, maybe reduce the opacity... Adjusting the opacity may help make the blend effect more subtle and less transparent. 2) Have you been experimenting with the different blending modes Krita offers? Some blending modes are more intense than others. 3) You could also use CTRL + U on the blend mode. Tweak the Hue/Saturation and lightness to adjust the color and saturation of the blend layer without affecting its transparency. 4) Don't forget that you can use a combination of blending modes on top of each other to achieve more complex and awesome effects. @@BladeandQuill yes, in this video you blend two images by putting one image on another images but i don't want to put one full image on full surface of another image. I took two images and then i place one image layer on right side on background layer and another image on left side of the background layer and now some portion of both the images are meeting in the centre and now i want to dissolve the colours of the portions of both the images, so that, after dissolving their colours they will appear to be one image, bot two images. In other words, may be i can say that i want to merge or combine some portions of the two images so both images which i took and place on above my background layer will appear yo be one images I hope you now understand well Sorry if i did any grammatical mistake because grammar is not too perfect.
Ok. Got it. Try this way. One picture is on one layer, and the other picture is on the top layer. Move the picture, that they are side by side. Then, merge the two layers. Now, grab a brush called FILTER BLUR. It is a default brush that came with the Krita_4_Default_Resources.Bundle. If that bundle is not activated, go to SETTINGS, choose MANAGE RESOURCES LIBRARIES and find the bundle. Click on it and click on the button ACTIVATE, located at the bottom of the window panel. Finally, use the brush and in top of the interface, by the CHOOSE BRUSH PRESET icon button, there is a dropdown menu. It may say "COPY", because the blending mode of the brush was set to that when created. Change the blending mode to OVERLAY. Now, using your brush, paint between the two images to make them blend. If OVERLAY is not great for your project, try other blending modes. Keep me posted and let me know if this worked or not. Thanks for your patience and good luck. 😊

Thank you for explaining blending modes, I do use some of them in Krita and in Gimp, but the way they actually work has always been a bit of a mystery.... until now! The demonstration of colouring the armour was wonderful really, I can see so many possibilities in using alpha inheritance and clipping masks!

I enjoy experimenting with blending modes along with filters that produce textures.
How i can blend two images edges like gradient??
Hi. Can you be more specific? Are they photographs? Do you want to use filters to blend your images, or are you opened to using brushes? Etc. Thanks.
