Hunters? By 10:00 I was missing the rear view cam. Those side hill trails have some genuine "Holy Fecal Matter!" sections! And just when you thought you were bad-ass 41:34 ! Man, it had me flinching several times! Thanks for taking me along for the ride.
Hitting this real soon. Thanks for the vids man! Really helps someone like me who’s always on the look for new trails. I’ll also have some videos up soon too🤙 Ride on
Hey man, I live close by and I am going to hit it tomorrow. I ride an ebike though because I pedal all the way back to the top!!! I would love to ride with you sometime soon if you would like to. I just hate looking at the map all the time to be on track. I’d rather know the path so I just can focus on pure fun haha. Please let me know if you would go there again. I will join you!
Haha! But if you stay on the wide path all the way down, it doesn't require any fitness at all. I brought many first-time mountain bikers there, some who could barely pedal on the flat 20min to the shuttle pickup
Yes, Upper Sam Merrell, it's really good! I just find it a bit too sketchy when doing it clipped-in on the XC bike. There are some steep loose chutes there
I love this trail. I did not know about that last little bit of trail right at the very end! Hey Ben. Do you mind saying what bike you were riding? The bike link in the comments goes to the brand but not the model. I am also curious what tire size, and pressures you are running front and back? Also, generally speaking what is your average cadence and is it different for your races? Thanks for posting this and keep the awesome videos coming :-)
Oh no, Scott changed their links, I was sending a ton of traffic to their product page! Here's the new link: bit.ly/2xbzFbV It's a Scott Spark RC 900 World Cup 2017. I was riding 2.2 Rocket Rons with about 24 psi front/rear. I normally race a lot lower than that but, on a big mountain ride, I like to think I'm giving the sealant a better chance to work because flatting before a turn there could mean death. I didn't have a sensor, but cadence must have been a bit higher than in a race, because I climbed non-stop 5,000ft to get there, so my legs were tired.
Wow man, this is amazing! How many times have you done this? It looks so effortless. Do you have any recommendations for newbies regarding bikes and trails? Thanks for sharing!

Amazing Video!! I'll definitely try it once my fitness is improved haha.

What a beautiful ride! Definitely some sketchy parts, but nice.
Whenever I have friends visiting LA, that's where I take them
Have you ever gone left at the fork when you finish the first little climb? It’s a really great trail!
Yes, Upper Sam Merrell, it's really good! I just find it a bit too sketchy when doing it clipped-in on the XC bike. There are some steep loose chutes there
OMG this trail is scary as hell o.O
If it looks scary on GoPro... :O
I love this trail. I did not know about that last little bit of trail right at the very end!

Hello Ben, amazing video! why you are not using the carbon wheels?
It's to avoid the risk of damaging them. On this particular terrain, there are a lot of loose big rocks that can bounce and make you regret.
caralhoooooooo... muito fera... adorei
Hey Ben, Did you use the stabilization on the GoPro or do stabilization in post production? Thanks!
I did not use any stabilization. It's not needed when shooting at 60fps with the SuperView FOV.
Okay thanks.
43:12 excuse to don't ride switchback :D
Hahaha true. I have never cleaned that one. BUSTED
Now this is the Definition of mountain biking!!😰
slightly envious, went out for a spin today 2 1/2 hours and got soaked, welsh weather for you, dont look down on some of that trail
Sometimes it's not that the trail is too technical, but you have to be 100.1% sure you won't mess up there
Violence as a bouncer didn't scare me, but this type of trail does.
