    Mr Parekh created a portfolio to laggards to show index can be beaten. But that portfolio is also an index, so laggards index is beating the main index. So in the end index investing is better, only depends on index you go for with right timeframe.

      Actually no, the laggards didn't have the advantage that actual index stocks have. Laggard don't get index fund inflows, they donot get the attention index stocks get and they still managed to beat the index. There is a difference between a Stock Index and a group of stocks.

    Sir whatever you said is true but index are still best option for those who don't know anything about stocks OR don't have apatite for high volatility...
    The key is to invest in nifty and sensex index fund

    9 yrs now... And active Mutual funds are struggling to beat Index... 😂😂
