Hi Robert… Looking good so far. It’s really good to see trains running on the layout. Thanks for taking the time to show how those clips work for dcc and the alternative soldering method. I will keep you posted on how my dc to dcc project goes. Regards… Steve 👍👍👍
Hi Steve, As your layout is layed I think the clips are the easiest path and if you look at Peter Dixons layout he has hiden them well so good luck with what ever way you go on this. Cheers for watching and your very nice comments and I must say its nice to have got most of the weather related work done now. Cheers Robert.
Hello, Robert... great video! Glad to see the weather gave you some valuable time to get some work done outside! Always something to sort out, but you got it!
Hi Anthony, Yes weather thats something you know a lot about as well so I was pleased to get this part of the build done and dusted so next scenic's and buildings. Cheers for watching as always and your very nice comments at some stage another video will come but when I am not sure yet. Cheers Robert.
Nice Robert, well done with the wiring, only one mishap. The running session was excellent, particularly liked the letchworth rake being shunned they looked good. Take care Eddy xx
Hi Eddy, Thanks for watching and your very nice comments and its not a mistake if you can fix it so all good now it was nice to be able to run some trains with the layout all connected so next the scenic's and buildings. Keep well yourself also. Cheers Robert.
Ciao dear Robert a well done tutorial my friend i love the backscene and thanks for the final running session with an awesome sound quality a super like from me,have a beautiful week end alberto 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺
Hi Robert I think I’ve skipped a video so good to see how well it’s come on . I like the bridge and the back scene behind the bridge works nicely and you got some nice shots . Cheers Kev 👍🏾
Hi Kev, Thanks for watching and your very nice comments no 19 tonight but there is a video out on a train show I went to last W/E you may like. Cheers Robert.
Hi Deano, I have just watched your trip to Ely show and looks as though you had a good time but not much to buy for a 3 rail Ac modeller I would think but well done nicely filmed and always nice to meet our fellow YT'ers. I do of course thank you for watching this and your very nice comments hope you are continueing to recover and get on with your build. I think the Hornby 08 is a fravorite with most modellers it is mine. Cheers Robert.
Hi Neil, Yes thought you would like that so pleased that you are and with this layout its a lot easier to get up close with the camcorder and not rely on the small camera's so cheers for watching and your very nice comments. I see you are still very busy with shorts so I do look at them incase you wondered. Hope you are all well over there and getting some nice weather to. Cheers Robert.
Hi Robert You may have been better off cutting a small part of the webbing off in between the sleepers on the bottom of the points, that way you could have used just two wires to do the job by stripping them a bit longer and soldering them across the bottom of the two rail that need joining. Soldering to the bottom of the rails has the bonus of being less visible as well, especially once ballasting is done. The back scene looks good and nice bit of running. All the best, cheers Rob.
Hi Rob, Yes I have seen how Charlie Bishop does his and yes a lot neater but I only have about 15mm of space to get the wires down and it was hard enough the way I did it and after all it is still Roberts Train Set as long as it all works I am happy. As always thank you very much for watching and your very nice and helpful comments I hope you are keeping well and your layout is coming on well also. Cheers Robert.
Hi Andy, Thank you so much for saying so and watching its coming along slowly, at the moment trying my hand at some ballasting luck required I think. Cheers Robert.
Hi Philip, Yes getting there and nice to have trains running with it fully connected so now its the scenice's and buildings to get on with. Thanks for watching and your very nice comments another video will come at some stage. Cheers Robert.
Bit by bit you are getting there and another step to a fully functional layout. I do see what you mean about space but a few well placed tall trees will help the illusion created by the scenic break.
Hi John, Yes but now I do have what there is to work with I think with the engine shed and some thin but tall trees it can be done so watch that space. As always thank you so much for watching and your very nice and always helpful comments I have done a small bit of ballesting on the bridge so I will do small bits of that at a time so I do not get to bored interspersed with the station build I think. Cheers Robert.
Hi Clive, Yes and a lot more to do and you will be going the same route in the future so thanks so much for watching and your very nice comments and hope the preps to get your layout up and running are also going well. Cheers Robert.
Hi Robert it does make you feel better having a bit of sun you took great advantage of it. The problem I have I like the sun so nothing gets done on the layout much. You've got on well with it the back scenes look great, and having the 04 shunter on the bridge moving is fantastic, can you with the software your using run it as a shuttle service. Anyway my friend you was looking well and it was a great video. Colin
Hi Colin, A shuttle with the 03 with Railmaster yes its already done will be in a video at some stage so cheers for watching and your very nice comments and its nice to have the sun but as I do not like heat I do not sit out in it but I still have this melonoma on my face so!!! still waiting for the op appointment. Cheers Robert.
Hi Clayton, Yes I think the backdrops are a very important part of the build so I am happy to have done these and the rest of the work needed outside so now its scenic's and buildings as always cheers for watching and your very nice comments and its nice seeing you learning to fly makes for a different video I think. Cheers Robert.
Lovely layout - you do really well in all you do! I like the back scenes where did you find them? You will get hours of fun running this layout. Cheers for now Malcolm
Hi Malcolm, Thanks for watching and your very nice comments and as for the back scenes most of the shops sell them its just a case of looking online and chosing the one you think will work these are id ones which are not to bad but that backing on the sticky ones is a pain. Cheers Robert.
Hi, I thank you for watching and your very nice comments and I am sure there are many ways to do this wiring but I just like droppers so I get a direct feed from the controller when I had to do that on my loft iTrains controlled layout I noticed that all the locos were far more relable in how they ran so have just carried on that way but thank you for giving an alternative method. Cheers Robert.
Look who's decided to copy me, lol. I bought those exact same Guard's Vans before you. I'm keeping the 20 Ton Guard's Van and my friend Ryan wants the Pillbox one, as he likes the NSE livery. There's a new real railway video on my channel, which I'm sure you'll enjoy watching. It features LNER A4 Sir Nigel Gresley and a few stinky diesels you'll be familiar with. Let me know what you think of it. I've dared Allan to purchase a Royal Ordnance Gunpowder Van, only because I've bought it myself. Let's hope the shed roof doesn't get blown off.
Hi Kelly, Thank you for watching and your very nice comments I hope you enjoyed seeing the Manor running on this layout which I hope is better than nothing and I will try and watch your real railway video later. Cheers Robert.
Hi Derek, I think there are many ways to do this and I from my experience in the loft just like having droppers so thats the track I take, as always cheers for watching and your very nice comments. Cheers Robert.

Unless you intend to put a switch in place it is much easier to solder two small pieces of wire on the bottom of the point.
