Forgot how beautiful & serene a nice morning at the beach is. There is something about it. Only been to Rebobeth & Bethany. A while ago. Fun to take the ferry over from Cape May. Enjoy the rest of your trip. Safe travels home. 🌞
Hi Cliff, 2 lovely soft sandy beaches there, I live about 5 minutes from our local beach which is also soft sand and I have a sea view from our house too which is nice, I have to admit though that I hardly ever go to the beach, which is a shame. Thank you for sharing, much love. xx 💖
Been watching this whole series of videos very nice recovering from COVID been very rough wk thanks for sharing my friend waves are very relaxing craps are neat to watch. Stay safe
Welcome to the Delaware beaches, Cliff. Next time your down, checkout Assateague and Chincoteague Islands. Great vids. Mountains and Beach = best of both worlds. Hope you had a good time
I was just there this weekend at Cape Henlopen but just for a day went to OCMD and drove through Fenwick but missed my turn to check out the lighthouse and just kept going. oh well maybe next time
$10 out of state for a state pass?!!!! I remember when it was $1 in-state and $2 out-state. Even as a native, never been to Fenwick or Indian River, but have spent a lot of time in Cape Henlopen. Beautiful place to see shooting stars at night.
Given supply and demand these days, its really worth it for a day trip to the beach from DC or Baltimore. There's showers and changing rooms, lifeguards, etc. - pretty much everything you need. Even at $10, on a nice day the parking lot can get full by midday.
I think I was about 10 miles south of you when you filmed this. Really nice weekend to be at the shore - nice water temps, and the waves were very manageable for swimming.
The fees work the same in NY. You only have to pay one per day and then show the receipt/parking pass at the next park. There are some exceptions , Whiteface Memorial Hwy is one, but for the most part the rule applies. Good to know when you're in an area like Ithaca where there are multiple parks in a relatively small area.
Indian River is the main beach we go to. The sand is cleaner. Plenty of parking, waves are better. The walk along the inlet is very pretty in the evening. Years ago on the old bridges there were crazy people jumping off the bridge into the inlet. So very dangerous. Seen lots of crazy things there to. We were following a bunch of young people in a pick up truck. There was a guy sitting in the back on the edge of the truck box. They went to pull out onto the highway and Crack he fell out hitting his head on the road. We all heard it, we thought he was dead. Nope some how he bounced up stood up held his beer bottle up and said I dind't spill any. I've seen this in accidents I responded to. DUI ones we here you look at the crash and think oh no it's not going to be good. Vehicles wrapped around trees etc. Not a scratch on them. So stinking drunk they were so relaxed they didn't get hurt. Yet the People in the other car not so much. Cliff if you go back down to Cape Henlopen again look at the site map. You can request a certain site. There are tent sites back a little for privacy. Take your bike with you next time. The bike trail is beautiful and peaceful. Goes into Lewes. A lovely town. If your coming from Cape Henlopen go over the draw bridge in Lewes and turn right. Go all the way down that road. There is a parking lot and a boardwalk that you can walk on. I love watching the boats come in and out there. Another great a t place to catch the sunset. At the bridge you can get on a night cruise boat that goes out the canal and out into the bay near the light houses. If you get motion sickness take something beforehand. Thank you Cliff. Lovely video. I love my Pa. But that area is second home to me to.

Amazing how you found that stretch of beach without a bunch of sun-bathers! Nice, relaxing video! Love the ocean sounds!
Admiring the clearer water from the Atlantic. Use to be green pea soup.

Maybe this fall I'll get there.

Packed beaches like that are just another reason I prefer the Outer Banks of NC. Still beautiful of course!
Pretty beach

Sharks' teeth on the shore - rest of the critter is in the ocean. 😉😆
I swore I heard some woman yell "Quit talking to yourself"! Some people.
Beautiful state park. Why don't I see anyone in the water? Is it the water temp?
It was still morning, so maybe not warm enough yet...
Forget the Caribbean. I'll take the shores and barrier islands of Delaware and Maryland.
