There was a program like this years ago in my city on the east coast. My co worker signed up & did it regularly. She fell so in love with the babies she decided to try to have a baby even though she was 41 with an 18 yr old son. We all thought she was crazy, since her kid was already 18, but after a year of trying she eventually got pregnant and had a kid. She was a nice lady and I'm glad it worked out.
I love this.. as someone who had there child in the CHLA NICU I got to see some of these babies who’s parents NEVER came to visit. It was so heart breaking for you to share a room with a baby whose mom or dad would never come. I LOVE THIS IDEA. And it’s not just the NICU, all the floors need this.
As a former foster mom and now adoptive mom I would love nothing more than to cuddle these babies in Need as both my adopted children were NICU babies❤️
I’m currently here with my son , and it’s sad to say but there are babies in here that are left alone or the parents come every so often , I’m assuming because they are single parents and have other kids . It’s sad to see a baby in a room alone crying without the comfort of there parents , this is beautiful , this is a great idea ❤️💯🙏🏽
I was a volunteer at Children's Hospital of Oakland years ago. They only offered this to reliable volunteers. I was fortunate to be a "cuddler" and parents were so happy to see that their babies weren't alone when they were gone for self-care. I volunteered in the 2000's but unfortunately, volunteers in any department can't come back due to Covid.
They’re called PROFESSIONAL baby cuddlers, but they are volunteers, so that means no financial compensation. They should be called VOLUNTEER baby cuddlers instead.
It sounds great I just don't understand why you guys are getting all these donations and sponsors but expect these people to "work" for free while all other parties are being provided for financially???
Here I am in South Carolina looking for this kind of volunteer work and nobody is looking here and across the Country they looking for them left and right. How crazy is this. I guess SC don't believe in it. 😞
Many of these children have commorbid health conditions which may require a certain level of expertise. For instance, would just anyone know how to hold a child with an NG tube? What about a child with a central line? Would you know if an IV line is infiltrated? If you answered no to any of those, you have your answer. If you don’t know the terms I’ve mentioned, that equates to an answer of no.
@@Gem-n-life I've just seen a picture of how to hold a baby with a feeding NG tube . She has the baby in her left arm while holding the tube or feeding device with her right hand suspended above her head.
@@Dr_Manhattan_Phd You don't need evidence to believe. Just your faith. And yes, Jesus did exist. You really think someone just "added" Jesus's teachings in the Bible to make for a good book story. 😂😂😂
@@MrMJmusicLover Yes, I believe Jesus was added to the story. In fact, he isn't the first Christ like figure. Horus, an Egyptian God, was born on Dec. 25, born of a virgin, had 12 disciples. Another deity, Krishna also shared many striking similarities with Christ: Both were miraculously conceived; both had royal genealogies; both were threatened with death by a wicked ruler. Krishna and Christ were human incarnations of a triune God; both were tempted by demons; both worked miracles; both transfigured themselves ; and both predicted their own deaths. These two Gods preceded Jesus by 3000 years. It makes more sense to me that stories like Christ and other God like figures were passed on by oral tradition. As human beings dispersed to different parts of the world, their own versions of a Christ like figure was passed on thru storytelling. Look at all the different denominations of Christianity. Believers can't even agree on which each version is the correct one.

I'd love to volunteer, I received treatment at CHLA at the age of 6 and always received great care. I am able to walk today because of them.
Was it rheumatology?
@@antiarugula It was the Oncology department
Great idea, this program also would provide loving heart and arms to children without parents that walked out right after birthing
Absolutely Amazing!! 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

How can I apply?🙏🏻
If I could travel work there I’d snuggle and cuddle the babies 💯❤️🙏🏽

I wish I can take part in this.
Wish I’m near 😭😭but I live in Florida 😭I’m willing to volunteer if I’m around there! Babies are angels 👼 sending virtual hugs and so much love ❤️

Good point most of the money must be going to the CEO/founder you know how they do
@@KIMjB72 As they claim to be doing this for the best interest of the babies while showing all signs of being money hungry🙄
At least pay gas money
Sign me up I need some baby love!
To clarify it's just cuddling and no diaper changes?
lol
You know that's just to get your attention and foot in the door. But once you're hired, it's more than rock a bye baby. 😏
Hahaha
Most likely it’s part of it. 👍🏽👍🏽
I would LOVE TOO!!
Thus is amazing. I would love to 💕
Volunteer? Hope they do a serious background check. That’s a lot of trust with a stranger.
Yes! It’s far too many evil deviants out there.

CBS should also cover the minimum wage ordinance for healthcare workers. Not “passed”…healthcare CNAs are burned out.
Let their parents cuddle them or their nurses!
Pay them!!!
💘
It's a shock
This is an occupation now? 🤔 Who doesn't know how to cuddle a baby and why do you need to be a professional at it. 😐

Is Jesus God/Son of God? Or a Messenger and a Prophet of God?
How can you be your own son? Also, there's no evidence Jesus ever existed.
@@Dr_Manhattan_Phd He existed, that is for sure. But what was his exact role?
