      I think it's two things:
      1) if several people on the cast have twins, if the original twin pair chosen has to back out last minute, they can bring in a different twin who's already been through the audition process as an alternate, and
      2) if two people on the cast are openly talking about being twins, it both puts the idea of identical twins in the players minds, but also makes them doubt themselves/think they're being paranoid about the actual twin-switching. It's both a clue about the twin switching *and* a way to make people doubt their own intuition about twin switching being on the table.

      I also think the veto was always planned like you said, but my conspiracy therory is that Ians Veto was supposed to be used 2nd but they changed it for the Dan removal and Brittney blindside drama. In my memory for BBUS and BBCan the Veto competition Veto is always used first if there is a 2nd veto in play, but this is the only instance I can think of that it was used first with the logic of it being won first.

    You know, I've actually heard something interesting in regards to the BB15 week 4 MVP, though for obvious reasons I can't confirm the accuracy of it.
    I've heard somewhere that the viewers actually DIDN'T mess up the MVP vote, but instead that Aaryn got the most votes, but when she was nominated normally, the 2nd place vote getter was 3rd nommed instead, which happened to be Elissa

    Not sure if this is a hot take, but BB15 switching up the MVP twist in the fourth week was ingenious! Because so much paranoia surfaced from that, especially after the blunder where Elissa got nominated, making Aaryn the new suspected MVP by the house. It also lead to a lot of suspicions about Judd playing a lot of people, resulting in his shocking, brutal DE exit, so...I see a lot of positives from the outcome actually, in spite of the treatment many people still got from the other HGs during that stage of the competition, and the rest of the game for that matter.
    Also Aaryn sucks. Everyone already knows this, but there's no harm in repeating it, and any misery she gets, no matter the reason, is fine by me!

    • @Ethanimale
      @Ethanimale  ปีที่แล้ว +26

      I also think it was fun for them to switch it up because it created this giant paranoia blender inside the house.

    So I'm not convinced that the viewers made a mistake with the MVP vote in BB15. Alyssa was the most polarizing person in the house; most fans either loved her or hated her. So when everyone is voting for their favorite person to get a power, she will get the most votes. BUT, when they are voting for their least favorite player to get punished, there is a very good chance she STILL gets the most votes.

    • @aspiringgirl4422
      @aspiringgirl4422 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      There's a bit more there. Allegedly, Michie had an eating disorder, and when he was forced to eat slop, he obviously wasn't eating as much. This was causing a potential relapse of the eating disorder, so to avoid starving himself, Michie snuck food and ate it.
      Production found out about the eating and the eating disorder, and saw the real danger of forcing Michie to be on slop, so they canceled have nots. Eating disorders are the most deadly mental illness, so it's serious.
      Now I can't confirm this info, but considering how people defended Michie despite how hated he was, it leads me to believe that it's true. No viewer was going to spread that lie to make him look better.

    • @aspiringgirl4422
      @aspiringgirl4422 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      It's actually that Michie has/had an eating disorder, and being forced on slop was causing a relapse, so he ate normal food. Production saw the fuck up and dropped have nots.
      It's a similar story to why they swapped from peanut butter and jam sandwiches to slop. PB&Js do not give you enough nutrition for it to be a safe punishment, and so they swapped to slop which is gross but nutritional.

  • @TheMarshmallowBear
    @TheMarshmallowBear ปีที่แล้ว +11

    Some rebuttals/addons to two:
    I remember while BB14 was airing that there was this theory that production was really pushing certain results because Jenn was asked to enter the DR and was there for a LONG time (After she won the Veto) and supposedly left upset/in tears, which many people speculated was after producers pushed her to save Dan. It was around that time people started to question some of the twists that Big Brother was using (BB11, BB13, and BB14 were really suspicious with them).
    With Michie's season, I remember a lot of peopel were upset because he was breaking several slop rules and didn't seem to be punished as severly as other people did which made a lot of people angry that he seemed to have been favored.

    • @aspiringgirl4422
      @aspiringgirl4422 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Michie breaking slop rules was apparently because he had struggled with an eating disorder, and his diet being limited to slop was causing a relapse, so production, not wanting to punish someone for coping with an eating disorder, let it slide.
      It's similar to how in season 9, there was a medical emergency that required a player to drink water, but due to a lost competition, the house has things like cups taken away. Production saw that the decision led to a major problem, and corrected it.
      Tho Michie and his eating disorder aren't confirmed. But considering how hated he was, and how people were defending his rule breaking because of an alleged eating disorder, I think it has some credit.

    I think (and I say this even as a huge fan of Dan) that one must consider that production could have “rigged” (for lack of a less blunt term) the week to save Dan without tailoring that extra Veto comp to him. The plan anyway, which was the most efficient move for the Quack Pack to move forward as an alliance, was for Britney or Shane to win and take off Dan or Danielle so that they control the votes and can send Jenn or Joe out.

      I think she came back because she wasn't entirely hated from season 19, and her personality and lifestyle was about being a strong competitor, but was crippled and unable to compete that way, so once she healed she was brought back.

    and interesting conspiracy theory about the current season: filming shenanigans in the hearing competition. it is theorized that Matt's turn in the competition that involved hearing clues was actually filmed twice in order to cover up how badly he struggled with it and that it may have been a lie that he struggled because he didn't know the word tuba. and that they may have all been filmed twice and the earphones were given during the redo. and that the reason they only showed the top three times instead of showing all of them was to further cover up how long Matt took. they have continue the trend this season of only showing the top three times in timed competitions but that may be to make it look less suspicious. this is the first season ever where they didn't show all of the times after a timed competition.

    There were so many theories about comps and comp wins - I remember speculation that the veto Amy won in BB3 was mostly designed for her. And then the second half of the BB7 F3 HOH comp was very much upper body strength, which Boogie (or Will if he had stayed) would have more of an advantage in. And of course the infamous HOH redo Janelle won in BB7.
    I remember all the people who never could believe Shelley voted for Rachel to win BB13, although Shelley was never a big Porsche fan either.

And the top of Jasmine's foot did touch a piece of red confetti. I just watched it yesterday. The physical comp "trend" isn't a trend. Physical comps (and I count endurance comps as physical) constituted the majority of challenges until around S12i-14ish. Janelle won a lot of challenges because she was smart and athletic. I remember people being surprised Ian was good at the physical challenges because he didn't look like someone who would be. About the twin thing... we've seen production really commit hard to certain cast tropes no matter how expensive or unrealistic it is. As we know Shelly on BB17 had a twin so she was definitely casted for that backup. On a similar note, Jun's ex was casted last minute on season 4. Janelle's partner on BB6 was literally the 7th person on her list because production already flew out the first 6 people to casting and decided not to go with them. April and Jennifer barely knew each other beyond first names and happening to share a workspace at one point.

    For Jasmine, I think whatever way they called it initially was always going to be the way it stayed. In football terms, there’s “not enough evidence to overturn” it and/or it’s “too close to call” so (even though I think she touched) it would have been ruled “stands as called”.
    TL;DR if production ruled that she touched they would have stayed with that.

    7:00 You can actually very clearly tell her foot didn't touch the ground when you slowmo it. Her foot is dangling and shaking left to right very quickly. At no point does it stop like it would if she touched the ground. It was in air the entire time, and in the first frame of being able to see the bottom of her foot you can still clearly tell that there's several inches between it and the floor, more than the inch or two she lifted herself back up

    I know production interferes a lot in BB, but in the Ellissa Veto competition, if they really wanted to fix America's "mistake" they would have just ignored the votes and refuse to nomiate her. That makes way more sense to me then them staking a side of the competition when it's arguable that she would be the one finding them. I'm also not convinced it was a mistake. Aaryn got like 80% of the votes, but was already on the block so it moved to Ellisa with like 10% or something, but she also was very polarizing iirc. I know I didn't like her and getting MVP 3 times in a row and not being a really good player was annoying to watch.

    For context, Ian got a Diary Room session about noticing the ? in the claw machine so that's how we'd know.

    This is a theory I have. So I think in recent years that production rigs competitions and power wins when a player gets injured. Think about it every time someone gets injured they win the very next competition. Take Jasmine from last season for example (which I honestly think she faked the injury so she could move on to the next round when her foot may have touched the ground, that fall looked so fake in my opinion) the next round of that HOH was a pie eating competition, something that she’s good at. Here’s another example Christmas from season 19, she got hurt and had to have surgery done and she won the next temptation power. This is just a theory I have and nothing more, I don’t have any evidence other than what’s been shown on the show and keep in mind I’ve only been watching the show since season 16 so there could be examples of this not being the case but it’s definitely something I’ve noticed since I started watching the show

    In regards to Dan's second Veto: Claw machines are incredibly easy to rig, as in they come built in with a function to win after a specific number of attempts.
    Seriously, the owner can set the payout rate to whatever number they want, and only after that many attempts will the machine stop purposely dropping the prizes. You can go to an arcade, wait until someone wins, then count the number of attempts until the next win, then wait until that number comes up again and play on that attempt and guarantee a win.
    That's all to say, if production wanted to rig a veto for Dan, and put the veto in a claw machine, Dan would have won.
    In addition, I've heard the Alison Grodner is a huge Frank fan and wanted him to win in both his seasons. So if that's true, things would have been rigged for him.
    Also, if a mechanic like Pandora's Box comes back, production should tell the auidence what the sequence of twists will be ahead of time to dispell any rigging.

  • @reginamachamer821

    The way I see it with jasmine.. her foot may (or may not) have touched the ground.. but its very clear that she put no weight on it like had she been higher up the wall, she wouldn't have fallen off. So Im not all that worried about it lol if she like pushed off the ground or something it would be a different story imo

  • @theshadow3286
    @theshadow3286 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Jasmine's isn't even a debate. Her foot absolutely touches the ground.
    Notice how when her foot seems to touch the ground offscreen, her right foot momentarily lifts off its step before she pulls herself back up. Assuming her foot didn't touch the ground, Jasmine would need to be holding her entire bodyweight up with just her arms for that moment, and essentially performing a pull-up to recover back to the steps.
    Not to doubt Jasmine's upper body strength, but judging by the speed of that recovery, plus her overall physical display over the course of the season, it's pretty clear to me that there's no way in hell she didn't kick her foot off the ground there.

    • @XanderMatthews-nv9zf
      @XanderMatthews-nv9zf ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think it’s way too judgmental to say that Jasmine wouldn’t be able to do a singular pull up in the middle of a high adrenaline speed based competition
      And we really have no good idea of her physicality, she got injured week 2 and the only comps she played before that was the port a potty one and she wasn’t selected for her veto that week.
      Like there’s no real moments that indicate she’d be too weak to do a single pull up

    • @ninedaysjane2466
      @ninedaysjane2466 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@XanderMatthews-nv9zf It's not "judgmental." 🙄 Jasmine struggled throughout the comp and had to restart at least once. Those are "real moments" (and the fact that she was top heavy) that indicate she wouldn't do well in physical comps that favor the lean, athletic types. She was up against the oldest person there, who was also overweight and had to restart. The top of her foot touched a piece of red confetti. Production probably decided that since her whole foot didn't make contact with the ground, her win was legitimate.

    BB9 Hamster Question answer

  • @dantheman8103
    @dantheman8103 ปีที่แล้ว

    I never bought BB was trying to rig it for Jackson to win. For one thing, why? Jackson is literally no one a random college student who not one soul would even know existed if BB hadn't casted him. Why would they want to rig it for him to win? Not to mention if they were intent on him winning why give him villain edit. People claimed he got a sweetheard edit but everyone who I knew who never followed the feeds hated him. Pepople just felt that since the entire show was not devoted to every signle thing he did wrong so the world woul;d despite the fact he breathed as much as they did he got some sweetheard edit. He definitely did not look good even going off the edited episodes alone. And then Julie gave him the question of if he was racist, which he clearly was not even warned was coming given his reaction literally minutes before his announcement tainting his win and taking all the wind out of his sails and making the last thing people heard was accusations he was racist. THAT is how they treated the production darling? I know BB is shady a lot and some times clearly does interfere but fans get on this habit of whenever they don't like the direction something is going calling it rigged for no reason other than they don't like what is happening.

    BB22 Casting Theory:
    Part I: BB18 Jury Funny Business
    Production tipped the odds for Nicole in the jury by having Paulie, someone Nicole has admitted to knowing before BB18 via his brother Cody, who shared a season with Nicole, telling Natalie about Paul supposedly calling her a bitch, and telling the rest of the jury about his family's wealth. Paul directly hints at this in Season 19 when he tells most of the BB19 cast that they made points about his family's wealth in jury and how it was weird they knew about that considering there's no internet access in Big Brother. th-cam.com/video/hndK73WumNk/w-d-xo.html
    Part II: Blackmail
    Janelle finds out about this funny business in one of two ways. Either A, Paul told her, and when Janelle confronted production about this, they admitted this to her. Or B, an anonymous whistleblower in production told her. This gives a very dark answer to the everlasting question of the origin of the Janelle-Nicole F feud. In response to this, Janelle blackmails production by making them recruit Kaysar for All Stars and giving her the full cast list for Season 22, or else she would expose them publicly. This would also explain how Janelle got that cast list on the remote while in quarantine right before Season 22, which she's mentioned several times on both Twitter and interviews.
    Part III: Production Strikes Back
    In retaliation, production tells Nicole F about this, which would explain why she seemed so paranoid of Janelle during Season 22. Production also made sure not to put any more pairs in the cast, to intentionally make Janelle and Kaysar the biggest targets in the house, which was successful. This also would explain why pretty much nobody on this cast with the exception of Kaysar and maybe Ian really had any pregame connections with Janelle, and why people like Rachel, Vanessa, Britney, Andy, or even Dan weren't called for All Stars. Finally, this also explains why a vast majority of the house wanted to target Janelle and Kaysar from Night 1.

    • @aspiringgirl4422
      @aspiringgirl4422 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No, there was a lot of pregaming once players started being asked for All Stars. Derrick was contacted by Danielle asking if he was playing, and Derrick already knew Cody was selected, so Derrick connected the two. That's a confirmed instance.
      Everyone was pregaming except Janelle and Kaysar because they're old school players who aren't as connected as the modern BB alumni.
