This looks great, definitely going to have to give it shot. Quick question I've had, to have maps, spotify and other apps work do you connect your radio to your phone hotspot? Or is there a another way? Been using android auto but would be cool to find out
Hey man, thanks for the themes, Looks amazing specifically the second one. Works perfect and design is wonderful. I have a question though - how to change the default audio player for music to start with the launcher??
You can activate the application you want to choose from the sleep mode option in the car special settings to choose the music launcher at the first boot, I did it like this. Note: passwords are required for special settings, mine is 8888 maybe universal

Hi Jensen, I love these themes from you but I can't get the map widgets working on them. The Car Launcher is connected to Google maps, shows the Google logo but no map. Is there somewhere where I can enter my own Maps API?
The maps are working on any other launcher but not this one. Do you have any idea why could that be?

I can not recover I did as in the video folders where a folder moved files it does not give me a folder Recovery what I do wrong?

Hi, I did everything you said but until i try to do the RECOVER at the save button, there is a message from Google policy and wont allow me to recover. May i know what is the reason? Thank you

Love your vids.. question... How come when I customize a theme and then I I swap it for another, then I come back to the original theme, all the customization goes back to default?

Got it on but can't get background image to be the right size ?? Oh I can only find a recover on the 3rd theme for some reason that's probably why it isn't right size

It no longer lets you recover. Only says recover from dropbox? So do I need to set up all this in my dropbox in the same manner?
The images that come in Gdrive are not loading when I install the CL theme, are they in the same downloads folder?

How are you opening more than one page? I know these are basically android tablets, but I have found no options to open additional pages like a tablet.

Oh, to be honest I like the two launchers and I actually use them both. and it's very easy to jump between the two launchers.
Man, you present wonderful instructional videos. When I get some free time, I am going to load these. All I have to say is: God forbid I ever lose track of this video. If I had to remember all of this, I would probably end up bricking my HU. Great, great job.

I know this is an older posting but hoping you might be able to provide some guidance. I was excited to see all of the work you'd done to put together these themes and wanted to install the "Windows" theme on the Android unit I just installed in my older BMW. Nicely done with lots of detailed explanations. Unfortunately, the "recover" routine seems to have changed on Car Launcher. It kept directing me to files rather than a folder like your video shows, so I wasn't able to "recover" anything. I ended up using Theme 1 and just setting up 2 frames - one for music and one for navigation. It looks OK but I'd still love to try yours if there's still a way to make use of it on the newer Car Launcher.

Hi Jansen, I wonder if you can help me. I'm trying to use your themes, which are great, and have followed your instructions. The backgrounds don't load, as per your video, but when I click on the widget to load them it keeps asking for Gallery App. I've downloaded a number of them, but it still doesn't allow mw to choose a picture. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

How were you able to change the background? For some reason I get an error message that says it "can't find the gallery app" and just shows me a black screen. There is a native gallery app on my head unit. I have tried downloading several others by the same name from the play store but they don't work either. Any thoughts?

OK, i tried make a same folder using external USB drive and transfer the folder into my headunit..it worked but the themes don't look like as yours.. Not even close.. Lol.. Any ideas?

Yes, music controls will work to any player. I use Spotify for my music.

It is not possible to recover from the downloaded "CL Custom Theme" at "Car_Launcher_backup" Instead we have to do a "New Save" or download it from "Dropbox", can you edit your video or teach me how to go about it?

Hi, sorry for the late reply. make sure you turn on your GPS and allow Car Launcher permission to access your location.

So with my new Android head unit Android does not allow me to recover the way you did in your video. So what I tried to do is I did the same thing into Dropbox because it allows that option but I cannot figure it out. Can you please help
You have to save once from the CL head unit to Dropbox. Then from there you will see the save file format. After that, you can reverse engineer by compiling Jessen's files into CL save file. Once you done that, recover from the save file. Viola, its loaded. Apart from your pin apps. Those you need to do manually coz the save file structure changed. You might need to restart to see the saved files appear in restore function.
There is an option to see the music that I am playing on my phone on the screen of my car

Hi! How can I change the wallpaper for Car Launcher Free/Pro
Is there a way to use IGO maps inside themes where Google Maps shows on home screen? Or is this impossible? I do Not always have hotspot/internet running for the headunit and google maps doesnt pick up my gps signal as good as IGO. Im wondering if this is possible on any of the themes.
No, sorry. It doesn’t support iGo. Just Google Maps and Yandex Maps.
